Phyllis Stokes was so soft spoken and sweet. May her soul RIP and the perpetual light shine upon her and her husband. Thank you for remembering her, giving her the credit, and sharing one of her recipes. You're an honorable man. God Bless you and your whole family ✝️🙏
Thank you, Jonathan for sharing these angel biscuits/rolls and thank you for giving credit to Phyllis Stokes. She was an awesome cook/person. I will make these. God bless Mamaw, Papaw, Corey and Jonathan as well as your whole family. Blessings from Texas. 🙏🏻💖🙏🏻
I used to watch Phyllis I even saw her make these angel biscuits I was really sad when she passed away😢❤ Thanks for sharing her recipe with the world and giving her credit for it
I appreciate Jonathan’s honesty about this is not his recipe. Butter is the only way to go. ❤ The son teaching his mother. What a blessing. Jonathan you should have your own cooking show.
when they showed the finished hot biscuits I was craving one with butter, and maybe some jam. They looked like they were made in a bakery...and he didn't waste any of the dough. I loved his approach...I hope he does more videos.
It's nice to meet Johnathan, he's really tall, like Papaw and Corey are. The angel biscuits look delicious, thank you for sharing the recipe with us. Thank you for sharing the Word with us and thank you for your prayers. God bless you Mamaw, Johnathan and Corey and God bless everyone watching too!❤
Thank you for sharing these angel biscuits! I watched Phyllis Stokes & she was such a sweet soul! I still only use her recipe for my cubed steaks! That’s the only recipe I have found where the cube steaks are delicious & not dry!
How wonderful that you are making one of Ms Phyllis’s recipes. Thank you! She was a wonderful woman and is deeply missed by many. I’m so glad her son took over the channel. 🙏🏼🌺🙏🏼
I use to watch Miss Phyllis a lot so sorry that she passed but know that she’s with Jesus. Your biscuits would be yummy for my tummy.😊 I use southern biscuit flour with the capital L already has the butter cut into the flour, the recipes on the bag are great. I think I may try phyllis‘s and Jonathan’s angel biscuit recipe in my bread maker, not sure yet. Love y’all so much God bless each and everyone of you hugs and Fervent prayers. Angel J. Johnathan need a you tube cooking channel he is awesome making things, and follows the steps perfect. Awsome video he don't get in a rush and just throw things together.
Hello Mamaw Corey & Johnathan Nice to see Johnathan and Mamaw cooking together… Your momma is always bragging on your cooking skills👍 I loved Ms Phyllis & Mr Bucky both are in heaven now ❤️❤️❤️ now I watch her son Stephen 👍
I'm not a very religious person... however I love watching your videos... not only for the delicious food recipes. But your family is so wholesome & loving!
Oh Corey. .. this brings memories of childhood. The last time I saw this recipe I was about 7-8 yo. And my grandma said this is working for eating well. Thank You so much. My grandma used a carnation can with slots in it.
I really enjoyed this video Corey. Jonathan is soft spoken like Milton and I think he looks just like him with a little bit of Mawmaw sprinkled in 🥰 He's so handsome, he can cook and he's a Christian! Whomever his gal is, she is surely blessed! Thank you for taking the time to make these biscuits and doing the video for all of us! God bless y'all always ✝️
I've never thought to use yeast in biscuits. My Mom is from the island of Newfoundland Canada. She and my Grandma would make homemade bread in a wood stove. My Grandma had 12 children, so she made a lot of bread in her woodstove. So, they were really good breadmakers. Mom handed that skill down to me and I've used it to make some really good biscuits for my husband who grew up in North Carolina. He says my biscuits are better than his grandma's. But I've only used baking powder. So, I like this recipe using the yeast, too. It's like my far Northern family tradition is meeting up with my husband's Southern tradition. I just love it! Thank you for sharing! 😊
It was so nice of Jonathan to cook the Angel Biscuits with Mama. They looked absolutely delicious! Thank you all for this wonderful UTUBE channel! I love hearing the bibe readings and appreciate all the prayers. God bless you all..❤🙏
Hi Corey and Ms.M.!!! That was nice you had your handsome Son/ Uncle on here. The Angel Biscuits sure do look super delicious. This was a fun video. I watched Phyllis♡ also. It's good when a man can cook and bake. Thanks for the readings and prayers. Take Care and GOD Bless...Great Video!!!...🦋
A Precious Lady from my church use to make these and place on top of homemade Chicken Pot Pie. Delicious. I miss her. Thank you for the memories. Bless all.❤️🙏🏻❤️
These look wonderful! I just told my daughter about angel biscuits this morning. I will need to send her this video. She called because she said her biscuits she made were awful. I told her to try angel biscuits instead. God Bless
Praise God. I so appreciate you reading God's word and you praying for everyone. I could just sense God's presence and his precious Holy Spirit when you were praying. God bless you and I plan to order one of your cookbooks ❤😊
Love these biscuits /homemade /a family and the home looking at back ground is a house full of memories and a family that has good and bad times that there blessings are each other and understanding. Watching them make these biscuits was like watching my brother Donny bake cookies. Love this home cooking and the flour cup how it was past down from generation to generation love that. My friend had a tablecloth her great grandmother made and was given to her. It's used on holidays only.the /prayer and comfortable feeling just watching this video was such a relaxing feeling. Also was my first time watching this family baking show. Blessings sent to all of you and everyone watching.
👋 Mamaw, Corey, and Jonathan! I can see where having Jonathan as a neighbor could only be a good thing! 👍 Lost my brother Jonathan at age 32yrs so just the name brings up memories. 🫶 Thanks for your time and bible reading. 🌞
Wowww!! Those biscuits look so soft and delicious! Im definitely trying this recipe! Thanks Johnathan! You are a very good Chef! I wished you would start making more videos. 😊
I'm loving grandma's cup too! Cory you need to find a way to duplicate it. And sell them call it Great Granny's biscuit cup same size to make perfect biscuits and holes on the bottom to shake extra flour on when needed how genius! Our people were so resourceful love it! ❤❤❤
Those look incredible! I will have to get some bread flour and give them a try! My grandmother never cooked with yeast (said she didn't have time for all that waiting around. lol), and she didn't roll and cut her biscuits; she squeezed them off the big mass of dough. She used a flour sack towel or a piece of muslin cloth dusted with flour for a pastry cloth and rolled her pie crusts, dumplings and fried pie dough out on that. We have a stainless steel prep table that is absolutely wonderful for kneading bread dough and such. My husband is a retired chef and restaurant manager and he insisted on having a stainless steel "prep bench" as he called it in our kitchen, but for many years, I used a flour sack towel like my granny did.
These look wonderful! I just told my daughter about angel biscuits this morning. I will need to send her this video. She called because she said her biscuits she made were awful. I told her to try angel biscuits.
