How to fix and replace hook for juki Lu-2810-7
Set the stitch dial to “0”.
Loosen clamping screw ,of the lower shaft set collar. Loosen two setscrews ,of the hook shaft
base on the top face of the bed. Adjust the clearance between blade point of the hook ,and the nee- dle ,to 0.05 to 0.1 mm by moving the hook shaft base ,to right or left to change its position. Then, tighten two setscrews ,of the hook shaft base.
Turn the handwheel counterclockwise to make the needle bar ascend by 2.3 mm from the lowest position of its stroke.
In the state described in align blade point of the hook with center of the needle and tighten clamping screw of the lower shaft set collar.,a clearance of 1.5 mm is provided between blade point of the hook and top end of the needle eyelet.
Align the largest scale mark of the standard stitch dial with the marker dot on the machine arm. Check to be sure that blade point of the hook does not come in contact with the needle .

I have the same machine and have unscrewed everything as you have including the little grub screw that should lock the case onto the gear..... but it still won't lift off, can anyone shed some light....?
