hahah you're not alone in that field, I'm an Estonian living in China right now and every time I go to the grocery store, it's a wonderful time of playing "no clue what's in this package but let's just hope it's good". My chinese is not that good, still have so many characters to learn... But hopefully you're still enjoying your time there!
Hi! I've recently watched some of your vlogs and I'm going to watch more and visit Estonia next year. Do you know if it's possible to buy Moomin products there?
What are you talking about, we have as many beef and venison products as we have pork and chicken. Look at packages that have "veiseliha" written on them. Our general meat selection is huuuuge in comparison to most countries.
3:03 There! Cow meat! "Veisefilee" 3:12 its packaged fish, of course its disgusting, you get the fish fresh or iced. Would reccommend "Angerjas" fish too, but its more of an aquired taste (kinda like salmon but squishier?)
Yes, quite right. Cake section at an Estonian pood sells cakes you would only find in USA from a gourmet bakery. In 1997, once my wife (Estonian) took me to a pood that looked similar to the one in this video th-cam.com/video/ZKVhrzhAI8I/w-d-xo.html @ 1:34 into the video. Very bare coolers, and same bare handling of chunks of raw meat. Already in 1997, Estonia had brand new Maksimarket in Lasnamäe which from when it was built looked like the pood you visited for this video. "This thing is disgusting @ 3:10 !!!!" hahaha... Pickled Herring in oval shaped plastic containers.... YYYUUUMMM!!!! Take some brown bread (Tallinna or Eesti Pagar Pealinna Peenleib) then some Saare Leet juust, and on top put one of those pickled herring.... YYYUUUMMM!!! Funny story, I had heard stories of people in Eastern Europe purchasing for their foreign guests very expensive foods. At the time, Estonia still had the Kroon currency. There was a sticker on top of the pickled herring container which I thought was a price tag... something like 500 EEK's! I was concerned so asked my wife, "No no, one of the least expensive foods at the pood... I may eat all I want of it!" Phew!!! Sicker was some sort of date / run lot sticker, NOT the price!
O and do not buy things noone buys, buy the same things everyone else buys, that means that's a tasty and a good thing ;) There so many htings in the stores and can easily get fooled by the crapp they sell, i have few times myself (as i like to try new things time to time). If you need any pointers then let me know.
You should really go to smaller villages and similar smaller places. You'll never see what the estonian culture is like if you don't. Tallinn isn't great really. It's wayyy too crowded and has been modernised and mixed with other cultures.
No shit i was in my grandpas garage and it was -4.3° out side even a heater was not warming me plus im making a wood plane and yes if u think or any body else would think that im im prop like 20 no ima FUCKING 10 year old

The way you talk and move is VERY westernized
Why should we have lots of beef? Pork and beef have entirely different tastes. Pork is good, beef is disgusting.
