His amps aren't even strong enough very underpowered you can absolutely throw them around American bass makes bulletproof subwoofers. Vfl amps aren't very good they don't test well get some wolfram amps.
Looks like it needs alot more power. Those subs barely moving.
@Lex check description... You're right. I thought same thing. he has them on an 8k VFL amp which would be a good match for the ratings on those 2 subs but I'm sure they can handle a lot more factoring in impedance rise & such. Think he'd just got them installed around time vid was recorded so he probably put more power to them afterwards.

@@lex4758 I cannot add much to this as I'm not real familiar with VFL amps (or American Bass). I came across this video from searching trying to help me decide if I wanna buy one of these American Bass Xmax 15" subs. If they made it in a 18" I would've already bought one. Prefer to run one 18 this time instead of a 15. With so many different brands out these now days it has been stressful trying to decide on what gear to run this go around lol 1st world problems.

@@lex4758 i have looked at the resilient sounds before. They seem to be nice woofers. I'm wanting to stay at a minimum of 4k rms rating for the sub that I go with. I'll only be running one sub in a trunk. The RS Team 18 is a 5k rms sub but its also $1100. If I do end up going 18 & spend a grand on a single subwoofer then it will either be the Undertaker sub (7500 rms) or the new Deaf Bonce 45 18"... Wish Skar hadn't discontinued the DNR 15 for the money that sub was a BEAST! (And I know some ppl hate on Skar, to each their own but both the Skar ZVX & DNR have more than proven themselves as stout, reliable subwoofers imo)
Their are so many great subs out nowadays. Gotta admit I was a tad excited when I first came across the AB Xmax 15. It's high rms & excursion capabilities along with its low price tag versus all the competition was a breath of fresh air. Only thing is I do not know much about American Bass nor their quality. I wanna make sure I get something that can take abuse & handle well over its rated power. Lex thanks for your input. I'm always open to suggestions... Do you have a Resilient Sounds sub.

Just go to big vell lithium. Com without spaces get a good lithium it is cheaper in the long and short run lto cells so they r safe and non flammable and built by a bass head

@@hazerain7354 by cheaper there over a grand easy i know i sale them if your doin everyday a simple easy way to go is have your alt charge at 15 and change the batts to a 15v or higher charge compacity youll hit 150s and itll be under 600$ tate cracked his ws with just 2 bats an that small upgrade on 4 12s and does a 155spl

My car driving around is at 14.8v but Idle is 12.4-13, can I just replace my battery with a 15v one or do I need a new alternator?

I saw this build at the xspower show it has a lot of potential. That amp cant be doing more than 3k with stock alt and 3 small agm. I'd say that voltage is starving and that amps board is begging for power.

honestly one of those in a box tuned to 23 running an orion xtr 4k with two 370 amp alts would be plentty lol still a fun setup, wish i could have heard it.
I got one of the xmaxx 15 and only got about 3200 rms to a single 15 wired to .5 on a kicker d class amp but mines is 8500 Watt Max yours too? Or 7000 thousand as advertised??? I haven't begun to break her all the way in 6000 rms coming soon to my xmaxx trunk of the Buick literally coming apart

1 ohm or 2? Mines 1 ohm insane drop and with the carbon fiber dust cap sounds like 12's and 15's although I only have 1 15.

Your gonna need the audio control with the acubass. The dodge radios automatically cut the bass at high volumes. Been through that myself. Or get a aftermarket head unit

I got the same subs on an X3.71. My box is almost half the size of his and tuned at 30.4htz. The specs say 30.78. THESE SUBS QUAKE HARD! Low and loud.

For now just go on here and look up decaf music...big pimpin...or slowed bass music....u can go on Facebook and have people send you usbs full of music....decaf white clouds gets down...but like the other guy said it's all system dependent...👊

@@Simpleman1078 as a rule of thumb box EFFICIENCY is the most important factor in an everyday setup.for example those 15s do a 140 at 800 watts at 40hz.not the amp not the subs.its all in the box i know i built it and there is no resin or poly fill.just a little spl dust from the bass ferry

Americanbass subs are great,I had 2 of the cheap Dx12s single voicecoils 400watts on a kicker 1500.1 with factory 95 jeep alt and 1 stinger d60 I believe and was hitting 143.4 and beat those subs to death for 1 year before I coil came undone so I found a bnib tnt15 then another used one in perfect shape at a pawnshop and stuck those in but didnt get to meter it after but it was definetely knocking a little harder and guessing about a 144 maybe 145.
I had the vfl4480.1 on then,but crossmember in the jeep rusted where it mounts so now I'm cruising a civic and using the same amp but I've got a oldschool t2001bd I stole for $200 and a elevation audio dx1500.1 that knocks for a 1500 watt amp and does about 1900 at 14.8v I believe but running the vfl4480.1 and 2 48lbs cheap md sounds 12s that have humongous baskets and take up all the air space in the box I've got for now but it sounds like I'm close to what the jeep was doing.
I wanna throw the tnts in but 15s just seem too big for a 01 civic trunk without tearing shit out and building custom boxes so my plan is to get some xfl 12s and put the Rockford t2001bd on em.
But I'm gonna be happy if I can get a 146 daily at 40 or under,just enough to make it hard to breath in when up.
Md sounds have 3in VC so I may even be able to put a good recone in the future,800watt 1800watt max specs and 175oz motor but for what they are and was $120 each new I'm pretty sure theyll hit the 145 146 daily without hurting them if I get the right box.
Your commander is nice. I wanna do some exterior upgrades like this to mine... but it’s not 4x4 just base model.. think I wanna trade my commander in for a 4x4 now. I have 2 5” DS in dash, 6x9s kicker DS in front. 2 6.5 DS in rear. 2 tweeters and 2 15 kicker CVR running off 2500 watts. I know it’s basic. But it gets everybody pissed when I pull up next to them

Mdf man i toldem but you know how it is your wrong all the way up untill your right thats 3 3/4 inch sheets with L ports and corner bracing with fiber resin and body filler and of course poly Ethel coat.he come off with some cash i wanna do an african mumbuoo wood.one of the most dense woods you can find.

Your gonna need a lot of eltrical upgrades to even support a amp to push those
I would use a taramps smart 5 each sub so one 12 gets a taramps smart 5 and the other one gets a taramps smart 5
Most importantly, just make sure your amp and subs rms wattage is pretty evenly matched, for example a 2300 watt amp you will need 2 subs that are rated at around 1000 to 1200rms each.
Big thumbs up I have the same jeep 1wo 12' Orion on 5k dc audio two 15' evx two 10' ev pro line on 5k colossus pro four 8' Orion in doors four pyramid super tweeter tw67 on oldschool zues amp. Now work on my power but sounds great

I love it man that’s bad ass ! Like I’m getting two of those in a few days there on there way . I’m trying to figure how manny cubic feet to build my box. Also port size. This is what I’m looking forward to . Wow mirrors moving yeah I got everything sound deadend and a lot of reinforcement placed at week points . But I love this right hear his brother is really good at building boxes it’s a winner we listen to him say that at the beginning! I’m not going to compete I just want a real deal like this !
I'm running dual 2 @1ohm stable American bass Xmaxx subwoofer on a 8k it hits hard especially my big 3 and Mc 370amp alternator going to up grade to 2x 15" xmaxx on 20K more power battery's and a 500 amp alternator dual with my already 370 amp alternator 24x 10" mids 8 super tweeters on 3 8k incase I upgrade again lol 😆

Only problem with these subs is that you can’t find anywhere specs for a box. Dang what is it a secret or a just guess at it. And the people that do have them acts like the sub didn’t come with spec sheet. Now where can I find what cubes the 12 or 15s need

1st let me say i built that box outta the vehicle at 8.45 cubes internally its trippled baffled up top double all the way around mdf the screws where being blown out out of the box from the pressure.lesson it takes cash.jacob thanks for showing the build room was hard to come by the subs required so much room.as you know we are the first in the world to compete and win with these subs.so we are still in the testing phase.also that is an everyday set up that still has all the seats and can be removed if beed be.thanks again sorry i missed you hope we see you at worlds tell cru to buy a headunit from me.that bluetooth lighter is garbage bahaha love you bro.

Well we didnt put it in at his shop we put it in at my house in the rain at the last minute it's my fault bc I rushed him to do it.an his shop is 2.5 hrs away for me
Actually its on purpose all power wires and grounds must be visible and easily accessible to be clamped and probed and visible for competition purposes and must have only 2 leads from the box to the amp with no extra or exposed speaker wire.attached to or ran from the box.as per the rules of the class we competed in.its like like im a bass rainman or something.

@@daytrace4635 yes by 24.25 inchs tall on each side with a cfm of 87.86 and a musical climb of 12 hz.wich really i would of had a smoother audibe decline and better time delay if id hade made it an inch or so smaller givin the hight of the port the with is almost irrelevant i could had done a 2 inch and almost 27 square inchs of port surface area given me a 3 square inch diff in port to cone in almost 9 cubes.
