    That was a great video especially the part where you put the soap into the bottle then realised you were wearing your slippers, you always give me a good laugh! I did think when you were washing the car and after your previous video washing the dogs 😳 never mind the washer battery, has he checked the camera battery? I think you produce the most entertaining videos that I watch on TH-cam, you are just naturally funny! That’s a compliment by the way 😁 Thanks as always for sharing your adventure.

    never laughed so much at a video in a long time lol great review. think you'll find the snow foam is fine, the actual foamer you get in the kit and lack of pressure is what lets it down. have the hydroshot myself and use it to give the car a final rinse down with deionised water to save getting water spots.

    Thanks Ian for another great helpful video
    i was just working which item would be best for washing your dogs the Mud Daddy or the Worx Hydro shot ?
    thanks again for all yurvery helpful and funy videos 👌

    • @TravellingfromScratch
      @TravellingfromScratch  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would go with the mud daddy for washing the dogs when I’m out in the car but when I’m away in the van I will definitely be trying the hydro shot.

    Nice one Ian, how many buckets did it take to wash Julie's car? I've been thinking about those for a while as I use water butts at home for car washing. Will it replace your mains pressure washer for cleaning decking, flags etc or is it not powerful enough. Cheers K. Oh and slippers really.

    • @TravellingfromScratch
      @TravellingfromScratch  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That’s a very good question. It took one bucket to put the snow foam on and two buckets to wash it all off. I could have done it all with one battery if it had been a full battery when I started. It can’t replace a mains pressure washer. No way. Not nearly as powerful. One the most powerful setting it is a very thin powerful jet of water but it’s so thin it would take ages to clean decking. Good for car cleaning bike cleaning dog cleaning and many more things but not massively powerful. 👍🏻

    I don’t have this particular pressure washer, but aren’t you supposed to connect the lance to the bottle attachment (ie the bottle fits between the lance and the handle part)? It’s usually the lance that creates the pressure spray that would improve the foaming?

    • @TravellingfromScratch
      @TravellingfromScratch  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s what I thought but there’s no way to connect it. I tried connecting the water to a hose pipe and a tap instead of the bucket but the water pressure was the same. I think it must be a limitation of the pressure washer. I’ve done an update showing the power of the pressure washer. 👍🏻

  • @VantasticAdventures
    @VantasticAdventures 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Like this very much, it seems to deliver good pressure for such a portable size and being able to use a portable water source. Seen a few mountain bikers use similar so will check it out but also like the idea of cleaning our van on the go 😂👍 The snow foam attachment made it look like a paint ball gun, you could start a new craze there 😉

    • @TravellingfromScratch
      @TravellingfromScratch  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      To be the honest the snow foam was disappointing. Not enough pressure for it I don't think. The pressure was great for washing the van or cleaning a mountain bike and the dogs even stood still while I cleaned them on the shower setting. All in all I would say that it's a bit expensive for what it is but it does what it was made to do. Thanks for the comment.

    got one to clean dog, clean decking after dog accident. But, for the van I decided to add an external bullfinch shower attachment. well its not quite external as its fitted on the seat end inside the back door. the good thing is that it is temp controlled so can have warm water.

    • @TravellingfromScratch
      @TravellingfromScratch  2 ปีที่แล้ว

    great video. I know I'm a bit tight, but wouldn't a bucket of soapy water do the whole thing just as well ? im looking at collapsable fire-pit's for camping at the moment and would love your honest/funny review of these. One is a snow peak at about £100 and the other looks similar but is only £30 on amazon, can't remember the brand. xx

    • @TravellingfromScratch
      @TravellingfromScratch  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have got a mesh fire pit thing but most campsites won’t let you use it. I will have a look at the snow peak one and see if it’s the same sort of thing. If it is I will set it up in the garden and do a review. A bucket of soapy water is always a good cheap option. Sometimes you can overthink a job. I do think this is a good bit of kit though with multiple uses. 👍🏻

    Enjoyed the video Ian always guaranteed a laugh.Ive not used snow foam but I think once you have spraed it on the vehicle and then leave it to do its job for about 10 minutes then you just rinse it off with the power washer rather than useing a brush or sponge.Im sure Graham from Wizard in the Wild cleaned his CV 20 like that.

    Might of been usefull if you could of shown people how powerful the actual water jet was, and also if it blasted the dirt off the car. The only bit you showed was the snow foam that you said was a waste of money. Pointless video really.

    • @TravellingfromScratch
      @TravellingfromScratch  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You have a good point. I try to keep the videos to a certain length so sometimes hard to get all the information in. It’s difficult to show how powerful a jet of water is on video. I will do a little update to that video showing the different power settings so hopefully you’ll be able to see. It’s a good point you make so I’ll do my best to give you a better update. It didn’t blast the dirt off the car. I washed it with the brush. It did wash the soap off but I wouldn’t say it was a blast. Still a really useful bit of kit. Thanks for the comment.
