I'm so happy Razor Leaf is getting its time to shine. This is a fun build to play. LEAVES GO BRRRRR.
Without a tank and a support it is still kinda useless, but if you manage to get ahead and have a solid team you can cause damage, much damage
I call it the machine gun.
@@diegoemanuel8641nah. Even before (when mewtwo didn't exist), you didn't need a tank or even a support. Now that it's buffed, it has become much better.

@@ze-prestooobro in great class standard mode you might not need a second player, but if you get a single good attacker in the enemy team your toast.
Razor leaf is literally looking a lot better. That many leaves streaming out at faster intervals looks so good.
It needs to get nerfed now

I'd personally swap out Float Stone for Cused Bangle. You'd be doing a lot more damage that way and shredding through enemies much faster.
You aren’t doing more damage that way but you are possibly picking up more KOs for sure. I did try it also as well as crown.
More damage in the sense that your enemies get shredded much faster because they cannot outheal you.
What about rapid fire scarf?
Not needed. Decidueye already has extremely high attack speed as is.
@@spragelshow was crown? Decidueye needs a lot more sustain like greninja and that could solve a lot of problems if crown did good hp recovery.
I was actually loving razor leaf when Lapras/Umbreon. Spirit shackle just didn't feel very impactful into them, but raw DPS seemed like the only way to kill them
it doesn't work, its either be a long range sniper or be deadmeat, razor leaf is asking to die
As someone who mained razor leaf decidueye for a while in the earlier phases of unite, I was genuinely shocked to see how fast it was the first time you used it. “Mewtwo DeciduWHYYY”

If you don’t have a teammate willing to frontline a bit or they are playing super timid you’ll still get mowed down but it does do a lot of damage

You can buff your health with the white emblem, and pair em with brown for more attack

I don't know why they decided to buff Dy but nonetheless, its good now. I just tried the Razor Leaf & Shadow Sneak build yesterday and it was good. Dy for me is in stable condition right now, no need to buff or nerf it anymore.

Other than leaf storm move it is completely balanced.
Your all wrong. Your taking the lowest hp mon in the game into fights with a mid range build. Decidueye still sucks it's just shoots faster now

Finally, I always thought Razor Leaf was being slept on when it has the potential to be the best of the character.

Was genuinely shocked when I was instantly vaporized by razor leaf (I didn’t see the patch notes)
As a Decidueye main I wish that Razor Leaf was viable. But the only good niche that it provides is applying the curse bangle passive continuously on multiple mons at once. Other than that Spirit Shackle is downright better in every way. Same for Shadow Sneak being better than Leaf Storm for the value Sneak has in free non-committal scouting whereas Storm just does nothing.
I've played allot of decidy, leaf storm is amazing for defense. When agressive attackers try to get close to you. I've even cancelled an azurmaril unite move by a well timed leaf storm. It's a great move for Pokemon that need to be close to do damage I've had so many garchomps struggle to damage me cause I'm able to stay out of their attack range
@0DarrenMeredith0 the problem with leaf storm is once you use it, nothing is stopping them from jumping onto you again while it's on cooldown. Nothing is stopping the enemy from using another move to gap close and bursting you down. Shadow sneak doesn't exactly help much either, which makes it an exploitable weakness for the mon.

Also, Shadow Sneak barely does anything. If we're talking about niche, Shadow Sneak is only good at finding the location of enemies. Leaf Storm actually saves you.
@quamorant133 Shadow sneak is one of the best moves in the game. Non-committal free scouting on a low cooldown. The move gives you free information, and information is one of the most broken things in any competitive game. Leaf storm only pushes back at point blank, which is sometimes usually too late to save yourself. Even if you blow the enemy back they can just run up up to you again and decide decidueye can't do much about it without a teammate. Shadow sneak can scout ahead and gives you info on enemy locations so you can increase your chances of avoiding situations that Leaf storm is supposed to save you from. On top of that, leaf storm is a skill shot you have to aim with up close, whereas Shadow Sneak auto locks to targets that are further away to help maintain the distance Decidueye wants to be at. Shadow sneak is way better than Leaf Storm in every way and it's not even close.
I know draining crown is bad but like with how fast you shoot not requiring the scarf you could honestly fit both scope and crown and you'd probably live fights you shouldn't by just holding in the attack button
i LOVE decidueye!! but obviously with that meta and how squishy it is i could never play him much without losing in games. now i’m super excited to play my owl boy again!!

I dont think itll be the meta, but it can be pretty oppressive with a proper front line.

Looking back, Razor Leaf was already the call in the Tinkaton event but with this buff it would've been even more broken. 😆
Does mathcord say a Rapid Fire isn't needed anymore? Curious about the differences in it vs not having it vs having the float.
You're far better running Cursed Bangle over both.
Yeah it’s pretty similar without scarf while razor is active. I think there are a few good options to swap it with right now
Razor leaf if one of my fun builds so I'm happy it got buffs
I like it cuz i normally have 54% attack speed but with the buff you can do ability based builds better
It's nice to see some Decidueye buffs for sure. Maybe Spirit Shackle is still the way to go, but Razor Leaf surely is more viable than before.
Of course, you're still dependant on you allies with Decidueye, as many teammates love ignoring enemies walking past them just to KO the owl...

It melts targets now, got to 1600 with him last night just by melting rayquaza without the other team noticing😂
When I first grabbed Decidueye Razor Leaf was all I used. It was easy to use, strong, and got me tons of kills in matches. But then I heard that Spirit Shackle was way better so I switched over to that. I've gotten some practice with it, but it never got me kill counts anywhere near as high as Razor Leaf. It hits hard, but takes 2-3 arrows to kill something which really just doesn't work if you find yourself with few allies around. SS is definitely a backrow build. Fun, but I think I let people talk me out of using Razor Leaf and that was a mistake.
Razor Leaf functions more reliably when you're on your own, shredding wild Pokemon, objectives, and opponents very quickly. The tracking really helps with knocking out opponents as well, as my sometimes questionable aim will have me fail to secure a kill with Shackle now and then.
SS is really fun when you want to get those satisfying snipe (the loud SMACK sound effect is so much fun), while RL is for when you want to be a machine gun making leaves go BRRRRR.
I'm so glad RL got buffed, and I can't wait to get back to playing it more!

HAHAH. I was using razor storm already. And the shadow as 2nd ability works better. Leaf storm is only better when the enemy has too much gap closers. Otherwise you better kite than push them back.
I'm just glad they buffed razor leaf after they introduced cursed items, seems like timi is finally doing something good
Also the ripping Ray on spawn with such characters is still an issue
I feel like Decidueye's numbers have been buffed too. This morning I got 3 kills as Rowlett,, which has never happened to me ever, and in a ranked match to top
It got defense buffs so maybe you're living longer and getting more kills

Is drain crown a good choice for this build?
I have yet to understand why leaf storm and not shadow sneak 🤔 ofc i’m open for discussion, but shadow sneak has some mobility that decidueye lacks, can find hidden enemies in a game with no ward and even reduce their defense
All i know about leaf storm is that it pushes enemies away
Depends on the enemy team comp. If your using razor leaf (and you never should) and the enemy team has people that can run you down then leaf storm is basically your only option. You can shove and stun and hopefully kill them before they get to you. Shadow sneaks let's you run but all they have to do is x speed into you and kill you

Razor Leaf is fun and all but I don't think it can beat the fun I have with Spirit Shackle
Does red emblems and rapid fire scarf together make razor leaf faster at all?
It looks more fun to play because you are more engaged in the fight rather than disengaging and stayin back for sniping but as far as value goes i think spirit shackle takes the win. Burst, secure, snipe is way more valuable i think.

Best part of the patch so far is that even though decidueye and inteleon are annoying to fight, i feel like i can play melee characters again (and have fun). Gengar is back in business and i have a new weird laning build 😂
My biggest wish is for it to get Shadow Sneak or Leaf storm at lvl 5. I think it would not only make lane Decidueye viable, but also Leaf storm way more popular
I wonder if this build will ever surpass spirit shackle, although frankly I don't really want it to since spirit shackle is more fun and unique imo

No it will never be better. Razor on paper sounds cool but it's a joke. It forces the lowest hp mon in the game into mid range combat.... really stupid idea

It’s an option for sure.
It doesn't matter what they do to razor leaf. It'll never be good because of how squishy decidueye is. You can't stay around and auto attack for more than half a second without dying from 1 boosted auto attack from a blissey
which pokémon should every player purchase/learn to use? i always use lapras but looking to try something new after the nerfs
Aegislash after its buff in the last patch and Mewtwo finally getting nerfed, Its really viable now
Mew, hoopa, eldegoss. Good luck with mew and hoopa because they are both very hard to play well but elde is surprisingly powerful and alot easier to use
They should really fix the weird camera zoom-in bug in Ipad(and others)cus the only thing u can basically see is your self
And they should also add a menu to customise the controls cus the joystick is way at the edge

You get bad enemies, get ahead early and when you break the second goal zone they surrender

Nah, I went on an 8 games win streak with crit flail Snorlax and I just put them to sleep and knock them out. It needs to stay long range or dies, unless you're up against bad players😂 but you are a great player so I'm not surprised to see you make it work 👊

Oh no. I always used shadow sneak - razor leaf and performed a lot better that the spirit shackle, because almost no one suspect a waterfall of projectiles and get ko'ed mid range instantly, instead they tend to expect a slow charging move that do a single big damage. But now people will use more razor leaf, and even if it's not broken, we know how unite works :') Unite be like: pick rate of a move go up? Nerf go brr. That's why we see something stupid like Azumarill waterpulse nerf that was okay
As a defender main I absolutely hate that this move got buffed, Razor Leaf is so oppressive to defenders.

I've watched him for a while now and I think his biggest flaw is waiting for the perfect moment to unite and usually ends up waiting way too long and wasting it

To be honest I was wodering about the defense Buffs anyway and thought they would bassically do nothing anyway. It were just early game stats anyway. Raizor leaf is fun for sure but Spirit shackle is still more fun, snipe someone feels just to good^^ .
I kind of understood why the espeon was pinging you in the first game to be fair, you broke the Goal at 7:35 with a turtle 0n Lvl 6 at this point. he needed another 1:40 to evolve and had to do this risky play, pushing regieleki alone to do so and blastoise needs a ton of exp. I know pinging is annoying and not helpfull and toxic most of the time and you should not do this.and i am really glad we have no real chat in Unite. But Cris would be Mad at you breaking the Goal so early xDDD
