[FULL] I Believe What You Said - Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Gou (2020) OP - Piano [Synthesia]

- I'm a bit late to the party, but since the full version released a couple days ago I decided to take that task! Here's my arrangement of the opening theme to the new Higurashi anime, "I Believe What You Said" by Asaka!
I knew the artist previously from her works in Occultic;Nine and YU-NO (and something I didn't expect, Yuru Camp and Heya Camp), and I have to say that her songs always carry that sinister feeling, while also sounding great and melodic. I have tried to implement that in my arrangement, through the usage of dissonance (particularly noticeable at the beginning and end), as well as melodic lines (which go into arpeggio hell at the bridge).
This is definitely one of my harder arrangements, and is also exhausting (it's another rare 10 pages long), but I really enjoyed making it and I hope you guys enjoy listening to it too!
(P.S. I can't guarantee any more uploads after this because midterms are coming up)

A: Well... all jokes aside, all my arrangements are made to be played by one person!
Q: My hands can't reach that far! How is this possible?
A: All my arrangements can be played if you can reach a 10th (C to next octave E). If there is a stretch that seems longer than that, consider using the other hand, or possibly the sustain pedal! Keep in mind that my Synthesia videos are based on my sheets, so the colours may not match the hand it's supposed to be played with.

i remember binge watching this show around 2014 when i loved horror, satoko was my faviourite character then. I'm so glad it got a surprise continuation because this is one of the only animes i've ever enjoyed, this musical composition makes me reminise on such times, thank you
Idk why, but it feels like this piece of arrangement would have made an excellent Battle theme for a JRPG
nah, the best jrpg song is "compete with the honor of the land" and "flaming bonds are being testet" for rpgs. all others are trash. ^^

完結（と言っていいのか？ ）しましたが，
一部登場人物が鬼隠し・綿流し・祟殺し各編の記憶を引き継いでおきながら，もうひとつのバッドエンド（過去編からする「ありうべからざる今」？ ）に突っ込んでますからね…
これで過去編から推定される結果（「詩音の大〇走・大量)ry」または「雛見沢大災害」）に至ったと考えていいのか，
加えて過去の出題３編を蒸し返したと考えていいのかは，「騙し」各編の解答編にならないと分からないのでしょうかね．
少なくとも，「綿騙し編」はここからバッドエンドに持ち込むとなると視聴者の大半が心理的に殺されそう…

You don't have to. Well I mean of course watching the original anime is gonna make things easier to understand, the the new one can be watched without prior knowledge of the series. There's a lot of details for older fans that may fly over the head though lol.
The new anime spoils one of my favorite plot points in the original, so if you plan to ever watch the original do that first. If you don't you can just jump into the new anime.

Yes. The new version is not a remake, so you should watch the old series first. The order you should watch in is Higurashi no Naku Koro ni-----> Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai----->Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Rei and then Higurashi no Naku Koro ni (2020). There is also Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kira but that season is just fanservice and has nothing to do with the main series. ☺️ I hope this helped.

I'd say it's on a complete new level, particularly if you're not familiar with the genre. If you know Happy Sugar Life, it can somewhat compare to that level.

Then, in revenge, she made Rika suffer again and again in summer of 83 being killed by everyone she knew and loved. She suffered being decapitated alive multiple times. Hanyuh disappeared, leaving here alone to suffer. Satoko then performed the ritual on Rika while she was alive while blaming her for wanting to leave the village that killed her over hundreds of years non-stop.
She suffered all of this because Satoko refused help and had a grudge against Rika, because two childhood friends were distancing themselves. It always happens.
Rika did (almost) nothing wrong.
In short, Satoko did everything wrong

Yup. Only it has a very interesting storyline as well. The first season starts off with full on horror and mysterious lore and the second/third season become more focussed on the mystery and lore part. Certainly recommendable. Oh and also do remember that this is technically the fourth season, it continues somewhat from the ending of the third
Uh no, it's basically a mystery with added horror elements. The yandere stuff is just added flavor, not the main focus. Treat it like any other mystery stuff where you have to guess the plot until they explain it to you in the end.

The anime confused me and older version had me lost
As long you watched the first 2 seasons, you should be able to follow the story just fine. Though Gou can be newcomers friendly as well, you just have to make it to the final episode later on for the plot or else you'd understand nothing.
