ภัทร หนุ่มทะเล้น กากเกรียน และ ปราณ หนุ่มเนี้ยบ มาดคุณชาย ผู้ที่ถูกฟ้าลิขิตให้เป็นศัตรูกันตั้งแต่ยังไม่เห็นหน้า เพราะพ่อแม่เปิดร้านอุปกรณ์ก่อสร้างอยู่ข้างกัน แข่งกันตัดราคา แย่งลูกน้อง เกลียดกันชนิดไม่เผาผี ทำให้ทั้งคู่ถูกวางตัวเป็นคู่แข่งกันตั้งแต่เกิด ไม่ว่าใครคลานได้ก่อน เดินได้ก่อน เรียกพ่อแม่ได้ก่อน ทุกอย่างล้วนถูกเอามาเปรียบเทียบเกทับกัน
แต่วันหนึ่งตอนที่ทั้งคู่อายุ 12 ปี กำแพงความเกลียดชังของทั้งคู่ก็เริ่มมีรอยร้าว เมื่อ ภา น้องสาวของภัทรขี่จักรยานพลัดตกน้ำในคลองหมู่บ้าน ระหว่างที่ภัทรยังทำอะไรไม่ถูก เป็นปราณที่กระโจนลงน้ำไปช่วยภาขึ้นมา เหตุการณ์นั้นก็ทำให้ความสัมพันธ์ของคนทั้งคู่เปลี่ยนไป แม้ภายนอกจะดูเป็นคู่แข่งกันเหมือนเดิม แต่ลึกๆ ข้างในก็ไม่เกลียดชังกันเท่าเดิม
จน ม.3 อาจารย์ให้ทั้งคู่ฟอร์มวงดนตรีด้วยกัน ทำให้ทั้งคู่ต้องใกล้ชิดกันมากขึ้น
4 ปีต่อมา โชคชะตาก็เล่นตลกเมื่อส่งให้ ภัทร เข้าเรียนปี1 เป็นประธานรุ่นฝั่งวิศวะ ขณะที่ ปราณ เป็นประธานรุ่นคณะสถาปัตย์ โดยที่ทั้ง 2 คณะเป็นคู่แค้นกันมานาน ทำให้ภัทรและปราณต้องกลับมาตีกันอีกครั้ง เมื่อภารู้เรื่อง ก็วีนแตก ยื่นคำขาดห้ามภัทรทำร้ายปราณเด็ดขาด เพราะบุญคุณที่เคยช่วยไว้ ทำให้ภัทรไปขอทำข้อตกลงกับปราณว่าจะแอบแลกเปลี่ยนข้อมูล เพื่อหาทางหลีกเลี่ยงไม่ให้ทั้ง 2 คณะทะเลาะกัน ปราณเองก็ไม่ชอบมีเรื่องเลยยอมตกลง
ทำให้ทั้งคู่เริ่ม “ความสัมพันธ์แบบลับๆ” ที่จะเป็นเพื่อนก็ไม่ใช่ ศัตรูก็ไม่เชิง แต่บันเทิงใจคนดู
สุดท้ายแล้วมิตรภาพบนความขัดแย้งของภัทรและปราณจะไปสิ้นสุดที่ตรงไหน ความลับจะแตกลงเมื่อไหร่ พ่อแม่จะยอมรับหรือไม่ หรือสุดท้ายจะมีวันที่ความขัดแย้งคลี่คลายหรือไม่

This show takes toxic parents to a whole new level. They are not only forcing kids to live their lives based on their prejudices but also carry out their personal feuds, what does their fights have to do with their children future. These parents are the worst than those parents who just say no you can’t be gay.
Exactly, I had hopes for Pat’s family, they seemed closer than Pran’s I though it’d be fine. Guess not?

i love how pran didn't immediately get angry when pat told him he might quits the play. he listened to his explanations wholeheartedly and cheered him up. a+ for communication

This is why this series was so well accepted and loved. It has all the right signs- a total green flag. They behave in a childlike manner with each other for fun or to lift up the others mood, but are really mature when it comes to solving problems or communicating with each other. Pran doesn't yell at him, and goes on to listen what he has to say. He's aware that Pat is upset over something, so he is patient with him and doesn't make his mood worse. He also understands Pat might have a reason for saying that, so he's willing to listen. In previous incidents, we see how Pat doesn't give up on Pran either. So, both of them are equally into the relationship. They don't just leave things like that when some issue arises and actually work on it, which is why their relationship works. This was so lovely to see. It's something everyone would aspire to have in their lives. Another thing I'd like to add is how realistic the scene looked when the phone call was happening and he couldn't hear for a brief second and asked to repeat. Also, when they were throwing the tshirt and earphones; the look on their faces was so genuine like how it normally is, the way they say catch it, the way they take time to throw it, totally focused on throwing and catching. They don't look overconfident like some superheroes. I don't know if I could express myself well, but that minor detail did come to my attention. Also it's very consistent, some little incidents are properly followed up like Pran losing earphones all the time, like Pat remembering to get a new pack of condensed milk for Pran as promised in the note. I love how genuine this series looks.

A+ for communication, problem solving and the balcony scene would seem a bit cliché but their chemistry is just so [powerful it looks natural.

Nanon said in Safe house Ohm really made him happy otherwise he was sad from the beginning. If they become real it would so great nd cute. Honestly, I can't imagine how all the social platforms would have exploded if this series happened instead of 2gether at the height of the global pandemic. It would have been so indescribably phenomenal perhaps even double or triple the effects of 2gether.

@@aparnasalini Right? It's not saying that 2gether is bad. But so many new series released after it that could easily overtake it especially in the storyline and acting departments. Personally, for me its level is at best only on par with series like Fish In The Sky or The Shipper. Anyway, thanks to it for increasing the BL fan base worldwide 😉

This is the side of Pran that no one has actually ever seen. He is goofy, sassy. Him doing the elevator joke, those virtual back hugs was what I never expected. I love how this scene shows how much Pran is ready to come out of his comfort zone just to make sure Pat is ok. Also Ohm is the one who usually asks Nanon to give him a smile when Nanon is down. This time it was Pran making sure he gets Pat to smile. Their faces in the last scene of Pat hugging and inhaling the tshirt as if it was Pran and Pran listening to songs with Pat's headphones as if it was Pat who is whispering in his ears was so full of love and longing.
It gives such homely vibes tbh.
@@sonalisamal2009 Yeah even though the back hug was a bit cringe, it actually means a lot for their relationship so I'm ready to accept that over the unnecessary drama that most series would include to extend the plot.
@@SherlockHolmesBS i totally agree with you. Given the kind of person I am, I felt it was a little too mushy/cute for me, but they didn't make it that cringe so I accepted it. I think that hug was the only thing I felt was a little too sweet to my taste, but other than that this series is no cringe at all. It's just a green flag, totally healthy portrayal of a relationship. I mean I'm no one to judge or say it's cringey ofc. It's just a bit too much for me. But I think Nanon and Ohm downplayed it a little bit, so it was okay for me. But they have the right balance. :')

The fact that when Pat was feeling sad about his talk with his dad and the first person that he want to talk is Pran... no hidden feelings, no holding his thoughts back, made me realize that they're the most healthy bl couple I know

@@raziisthunder4481 Asian parents have a different sort of obsession towards creating a vision for their child and forcing that child to fulfill that vision, without asking what the child really wants . 🤣 almost every Asian child has gone through this.
The phone conversation was so REAL, literally the authenticity was at 100%, the fact that at 8:45 there was even a stutter where they pretended they couldn't hear added so much to the realism of it all. Those small details really made that scene come together!

But like, this is a side of Pran's that no one else sees. Even when he's trying to cheer Wai up earlier, its with this air of calm and collectedness. With Pat, and its probably because of how safe he feels around him, he can drop the perfect child and be as goofy as he wants. Its such a good look on him. And the fact that he's cheering up his boyfriend by just being his uninhibited self makes me feel so many things.

Because this is the first time he felt that there’s someone that will not judge him or get mad for choosing what he really wants. He’s been living according to what society and his parents labeled as “right”.
I so agree with you, but there's this fact too that they have known each other since childhood.. these are the things they'd like to have done in childhood together too. They always keep the child in them intact when they are with each other. This goofy, childlike person is the side of Pran that nobody but Pat can help bring about. I absolutely love that. It's also a place of love, and safety for them where they know they can be themselves, will not be judged and can actually breathe free.

Even not just in the BL category, I think this scene is one of the best representation of how a healthy romantic relationship should be. Kudos to the writers for bringing this on screen, and to our great actors who made the scene looked so natural and genuine. And to all the team involved, you have my utmost respect and admiration for creating this wonderful series.

To be honest: I am tired of Drama :/ Life has enough of it already ^^' And yes, I know there must be some kind of "excitement" and struggles to overcome, but this BL shows another way: the normal struggles to and in a relationship! Until now noone is homophobic (rather the opposite!) and the only "drama" comes from toxic friends and family! What is wrong with a "feel good" BL? I am scared for the annoying drama in the next arc (I will way overthink everything LOL) and all the stress the characters MAKE THEMSELVES! I mean... just tell everyone to FUC* OFF and be happy :P "I just want to smile while watching" is the perfect sentence for what I feel and wish for :)
The only drama I predict is people accepting them ex: (friends and family)

In the catalogue of BL series, Pat and Pran’s 8 minute phonecall scene from 03:00 is a wonderful vignette of a conversation between lovers, made up of humour, trust, affectionate gestures, shared worries, small confessions, and above all, total belief in each other. When adolescent love in most BL series stops at the catchphrase of “I like you”, it’s refreshing to see what that love looks and sounds like after that. Credit to Nanon and Ohm, who are great partners for each other in both fun and sincerity.

This is what true chemistry between two people is, and I think it’s hardly ever portrayed this accurately in media. I think it greatly helps that the main actors are like best friends IRL.
The phone conversation is one of a kind that I'll ever find in any other series. Its not cringey at all like the other series...where most of them have the same phrases like "I love you" "I like you" a dozen times, but they wont speak out their inner feelings that bother them and other chats include "Who were you talking with? and all those extra stuff. BB is unique...Pat called Pran to share his sorrow, but hung up and decided not disturb Pran...Pran knew something was wrong with him and so called him and even came to his house to make him feel better. This is what we need...there is pure love...an healthy relationship...amazing.
5:11 Pat and Pran's interaction here are so natural. They're like real couple. Honestly, they make me so happy every Friday. I would surely miss them when Bad Buddy ended. Btw, this is my seventh watch.

One of the defining moments of this series for me was after Pat's dad tells him he's disappointed about the play, and Pat actually talks to Pran about it. Instead of hiding out of fear or letting misunderstandings happen like most BLs, he actually talked to Pran about what had happened and how he felt about it. This made me realize this show is this good because their relationship is actually healthy and they can rely on and trust each other. When confronted with a real issue Pat chose to trust Pran and open up to him, and I love this show for that.
That Balcony talk was so fricking adorable, but I was so worried for them not to get caught by their parents, my anxiety level was: 📈📈📈📈📈📈📈

I honestly love how Pran is help Pat when his down , the chemistry between them got me giggling and smiling.
The balcony scene is one of my favourite scenes. It's just so sweet and pure and really shows how much Pat and Pran love each other.
Fun Fact #1: The balcony scene was shorter but they kept improvising and P'Aof decide to not edit it
Fun Fact #2: At the beginning where Pat is talking to Pran through the phone, Ohm was actually not hearing anything, Nanon recorded his voice later

Damn that hits hard. His father saying he doesnt interfere much in his life yet actually pressuring him unintentionally on almost everything (competitions and rugby). He even chooses what sports pat has to play despite pat saying he wanted to try other sports. Its relatable for me. Sometimes i even wonder if im a human with free will or a robot that can be controlled.

the balcony scene... just perfection. Phat being all needy and cute, Pran showering love and shootings stars out of his eyes. Isn't Phat the perfect lover we are all looking for? he bought Pran a earpiece holder because Pran was scatterbrained and left the earpiece behind, and Phat even took the extra mile to embroider their initials on the earpiece holder. I CAN'T
and the acting was just superb. it was a simple scene, but it flowed so nicely and naturally between the actors that you can feel so much love and yearning between them even without skin touching skin. love the little detail towards the end of the call when Phat went "huh" cuz he couldn't hear Pran properly. that was so natural! like something that happens to you in real life when you're talking to someone on the phone 😭
That's it.. the detail and the way they act soooo natural is the reason this series is top tier..

I am so, sooo happy this show exists. Can't describe how glad I am that I got to stumble upon it. It's such a serotonin booster with some moments of angst that get resolved in an unproblematic, reasonable way without detracting from the love between the two main leads and their fluffiness. Oh my lord, Bad Buddy deserves all the praise and awards it has received. It's my comfort show. I am a 20 something year old who re-watches it whenever I am in the dumps; these two are too pure for words!

Pat and Pran moments are just too pure, I wonder if the actors improvised few line because it seemed so natural. I knew Ohm could act his socks off, but I'm totally in awe of Nanon's acting and body language, he has a great understanding of the scenes and emotes effortlessly. Wish they both have other projects together with great cinematography like ITSAY.

The kissing scene on the beginning of the episode was improvised by Nanon, the scene where they practicing for the drama in orange dress was by Ohm.
And so was the sscene at the end of episode 7, I think, where they are arguing about who should open the door for Pa. I heard they were doing too many takes for that scene so the director told them to improvise and that is what they came up with

We don't usually get this kind of soft moment between couples. When Pat says he wants to hug Pran you feel that in your chest, he loves him and wants to be with him and around him. Nothing would make him happier than Pran.
I love how they portrait the characters, the struggle in their relationship, the romantic things, it's show perfectly, and also I love the small detail like the 'secret' word in pat shirts, which I can assume that it is the situation of their relationship
