Gotta cheer for BNE and ITB, super cool guys and especially the fact that BNE beat Faze after they won the major AND after their grand slam!! Much love for both teams ❤
I feel like the core issue with this whole Tier 1 vs. Tier 2 discussion all comes down to the fact that its not the best teams that reach tier 1 but the wealthiest. I feel like this whole Partner team system is giving us an unrealistic image. Tier 1 teams always play against each other and the moment they face an opponent they havent played before they start to struggle. If you cant beat these tier 2 teams you shouldnt call yourself a tier 1 team and the last thing you should do is complain about the system on twitter.
@@skittlesindadum1625 How do you know they couldnt? Or how do you know that the "top teams" could compete for an entire year if they dont get invites through their partnerships? Thats why the major is and will always be the most important tournament of the year because it doesnt have any partner teams and every team is equal
I agree with the stance on Astralis. Their players don't take a lot of initiative, except Dev1ce. BlameF is such an excellent rifler but his role is wasted in a lurky play style. I think Xyp is fine for his role, and for how passive/supportive his roles are. The team needs an entry fragger. They lost K0nfig which was a blunder. Sometimes you just have to let it... slide, you know. I hope they can get the team to a stable position with the coach and conflicts of roles as CS2 is coming.
Xyp does his best considering his position. Game changed a lot and even prime Astralis couldn't survive from this era. If you are not fragging, you lose easily. This is the era. Astralis need a beast, trusty rifler. Faze has 3 huge riflers but astralis has 0. Maybe blamef. But he cant carry. They need a monster youngster with a 60 percent headshot hitter. Eternal fire played well and played worst at the same time. Disagree to Thomas, team doesnt need Xantares that much right now. Teamplay is very good. Calyx and imorr fragging too. Problem was the reading the game but not Majer's perspective. Site holders, lurker holders and anchors screwed a lot. On T side, noone looked back. On CT side, no anchor expected the 2nd T man. No multi kills means u lose the round. Thats why they eliminated.
I been saying this, -Xyp - Gla1ve +Patsi +Magixx switch blame to IGL and see these young players frag. Just as an example, that roster is scary. Imagine a little thought into the correct players to bring in, astralis could be dangerous asf. Like i said its an example but imagine Blame, Devve, Buzz, Magixx, Patsi. with some time to adjust to an english system and Blame working a gameplan, that shit could be like Spirit on crack!
@@sneaco Cannot say 100% Blame is still calling on Mirage. He was a few months ago, but it was a transitional period. Its not the call style, its there T sides. When you have Blame, Xyp and Glaive. Who is gonna be the Rain and run out on site to create space and get traded. Astralis trade percentage is very bad, they lose 4v5s and 4v4s all the time. Its not blame, its Astralis.
? What is this RMR B coverage lol There are so many storylines and results just left in the dirt here.. "G2 made it through" There is so much history behind this since they didnt make it through to rio, "BIG i dont think anyone is really super surprised" yea sure but there is so much more to talk about here aswell! k1to having an amazing tournament, the numbers hyped picked up at times.. "NIP kinda scraped through" DUDE they lost 2 BO1's both of them against teams that made it through and both were fairly close just to go 4:0 in their BO3s and that C9 statement out of nowhere? What are you guys DOING? This podcast really needs spunj I'm sorry but wth is this xd
This last RMR threw out the whole seeding thing every chance they got. We got teams like fnatic, gamerLegion, who've hardly been in the top 30 for the last year getting put against eachother round after round while the tier 1 teams are all duking it out on the other side of the qualifier and eliminating eachother. Fnatic was a prime example. They got 3 cheesedick matchups in a row, all of which were close and yet somehow these guys are legends? The guys who went to triple OT vs viperio? They bombed outta Rio 2 weeks later. Meanwhile we got teams like Astralis, C9, faze, NIP (any of these teams beats fnatic or gamerLegion) fighting for their lives against eachother on the other side of the "bracket(?)"
BOROS is more like a YEKINDAR character He needs to be let off the leash to create space, I think both need to learn when to reign it in and pair up better, even though YEKI is getting better at this
Astrais loses way too many 5v4s and semi ecos. And 2 days of bootcamp before RMR? The team doesn't look hungry. BlameF and Gla1ve seem cold to each other. Adding one rifler should work in theory. But the chemistry and hunger are just not there.
Sometimes I think striker doesn't fact check the things he says. "Faze had to go through all tier 1 teams to get there" That is a lie. Faze faced: OG (low end tier 1), Apeks (not even tier 2 consistently), Navi (tier 1), BNE (tier 2), Mouz (Tier 1 but really?) Faze should have spanked every single team here except Navi. Then in the last chance their first match up was Aurora (who tf is aurora), and Cloud 9 (tier 1, but unlucky that they bombed out). Then look at cloud9, same situation, Forze, Monte, EF. Then b03 they had G2 and Ence. Objectively C9 had the harder run than faze by a mile, because after they got B8, BIG, and Faze. Niko honestly has no right to say what he is saying. G2 had objectively an easy run, only facing C9 and vitality. They struggled against aurora and lost to 9ine. G2 needs to be spanking every team they face, but no, they keep losing to tier 3/2 teams.
Xyp9x wasn't even that bad. Carried Astralis against Vitality. He was great against Mirage and Ancient against Spirit. He wasnt that bad against NIP as well. He did really well against them on Veritgo.
@McSkillet vertigo against EF everyone sucked so can't say much about that. Of 6 maps that Astralis played he was good on at least 4 maps. With Vertigo EF being very bad and NiP Nuke being bad. Again I am not posing Xyp9x as a super Star player. I am posing him as a 3rd option.
The perfect solution to seeding is by having handpicked seeding. There needs to be someone who is an expert, for example, Pimp, who can sit down and look at the teams and put them in groups/brackets that look fair and interesting. Sometimes you see the same two teams play each other over and over and over again, we are tired of it, and then we see tier 3 teams matched with NAVI, C9, G2, and its like...wow, that is the hardest group in the world for them. It needs to be fair, balanced, and properly mixed, and using some "system" for it, just doesn't allow that.
