I enjoyed the discussion around mr12 but there is 1 point I havent heard. Why mr12 specifically? Why not mr13? One thing I dislike about mr12 is that half can end in a tie. In mr13 one team always wins the half just like in mr15.
@@raz6446 I havent tried mr12 but on paper definitely prefer mr15. I just enjoy the discussion around it. I would make matches shorter by reducing round time 1:55->1:45 and bomb timer 40->35sec (also defuse without kits 8sec).
@@Jonsson95 Off the top of my head, the round and bomb timers you mentioned are about what they were in pro play years ago, until Valve decided that they wanted to keep it the same across both matchmaking and pro play. They lengthened out the pro rounds and slightly shortened the matchmaking version (it was 2:00 rounds and 45 second bomb).
I honestly think that Dupreeh in the future could be a great analyst. He has all of the experiences a pro player needed and I could only imagine him being on the front desk with Spunj, Pimp and others, on big tournaments. He explains things so simplistically, though with thoughts and in depth understanding behind the game.
Bit of a hot take but i think closing the "partner teams' system is a wrong call for the scene. People say that this decision will bring in more orgs but tbh looking from org's perspective, any org will be much less enthusiastic on spending knowing that their team might not even qualify. This will straight up discourage them from picking up teams. Also, benching and changing players will also take a hugh hit as any team which swaps player takes a hugh hit in ranking and thus missing out on invited slots. Idk, lets see.
On the topic of Ax1Le playing worse recently - he definitely seems to be being pushed towards going for more T-side entries. Seems much more aggressive in this version of C9 than the one of old. Might need more sample size to find out if this is true but on maps like Vertigo & Anubis he seemed to be very regularly challenging for openings, which I don't really associate with Ax1Le's normal playstyle. His T side rating in this new C9 is abysmal. In 2022, his T side rating was 1.11 vs Top 30 teams. Tied 4th highest in the world with KSCERATO, the only 2 riflers in the Top 5. In the last 3 months, his T side rating is 1.01 vs Top 30. Big drop off.
i think he hides really well how much it really hurt him.. and the fact that he has a family surely helped him in the process because family life instantly took over like he says
Even if Dupreeh wants to have more success and play on a good team, I just don’t see any team of that championship caliber looking for a roster change right now, let alone wanting him. It is unfortunate for him as he would have won more tournaments and maybe a major next year if he was still in Vitality.
Return to Astralis makes most sense imo, they should remove Borup, or maybe eveb Ence, as strong as Ence has been lately, Dycha is their obvious weak link, would love to see Dupreeh Replace him

You can made MR15 shorter - just add "save option" for: -CTs after bomb plant, -Ts when is low time (30s?) or number advantage of CTs (2 or more?). Saving team has bigger propabality of succesfull save, so they are incourage do use this option. After save is call, there round is over with this standard few secound of delay (as after normal end of round. It would be a vouloutary option - you can always choose to not save (almost instantend of round) and go for a clutch. With this We would ge shorter matches, but same number of round.
Gotta say, I just think about adblock as objectively saving me time and cleaning up cluttery websites. I dont feel at all for the advertisers. The internet would be much cleaner to look at without them. Especially the fake download button ads. Those guys should get lined up against a wall

I think the reason people will try to fight against the “drop off” allegations is because it’s a bit disingenuous to say ZyWoo drops off against better opponents. His stats drop off, but not necessarily his level of play. In the same way that plopping a gold nova into a faceit 10 lobby would have their stats drop off, not necessarily their level of play. Playing against better opponents means your stats suffer and you don’t get away with as much even if you play just as well.

I’m not devaluing him, his performance is insane but it’s just not as game breaking as we see from his counterparts in the biggest matches. This means even though he might mantain the same level of play against better teams, a player of his stature and ability should climb even further in the biggest moments against the biggest teams. I think the reason people will try to fight against the “drop off” allegations is because it’s a bit disingenuous to say ZyWoo drops off against better opponents. His stats drop off, but not necessarily his level of play. In the same way that plopping a gold nova into a faceit 10 lobby would have their stats drop off, not necessarily their level of play. Playing against better opponents means your stats suffer and you don’t get away with as much even if you play just as well.

But if actually watched the matches carefully, you will see that he’s not there in some maps of the big matches.
And maniac pulling out spreadsheets won’t make a difference when we actually watch the matches with our OWN EYES and see that he’s not playing the same as before or having the same kind of impact.
I’m not devaluing him, his performance is insane but it’s just not as game breaking as we see from his counterparts in the biggest matches.
I mean when niko carries the team in his entry roles for for consecutive events, even though his stats are worse, you know he’s the reason they are beating the best teams.
Zywoo is the best player this year but I don’t like people Maniac covering the obvious. You can see he’s winning the MVPs but he’s not necessarily the strongest factor by a big margin on his team.
And I also don’t like how zywoo fans will first compare zywoo and simple, then proceed to completely state s1 career as a toxic baiter AWP abuser, only to get corrected by stats then proceed to say they never said “zywoo was the greatest, only he could be because he played less years, more top 2” blah blah blah.
@tracque_5677 great point, but his role is star player. Team positioning and strategy is around him, meant to allow him to pop off. This means even though he might mantain the same level of play against better teams, a player of his stature and ability should climb even further in the biggest moments against the biggest teams. That's all thats missing from zywoo's arsenal
