Back in the summer of 1960, my family traveled to California to visit our uncle. We visited knot's Berry farm that was western themed Park and entertainment center. I remember the old timey saloons and I went in there and ordered a saskparilla like some big man (I was only seven). There was so much to see and shop around and I was in heaven because I was in a western type setting like I had watched on TV. We found out that there was going to be a show with music and action later that night -featuring a covered wagon, and cowboys shooting . This featured Marty Robbins singing and acting out this song with Teresa Brewer as the girl in the song. She also sang several songs as did Marty Robbins. This special outdoor musical action play lasted about 1 hour and I was so thrilled by everything including the music and that song which was very popular during this time on the radio. A very wonderful memory whenever I hear this song! 🤗👍🥰 .
As a young boy in Texas. I would turn up the volume on my dad's AM radio when this tune happened to come on.I would strain to hear the details of this wonderful ballad. In my imagination I tried to picture the scene as it played out. Hoping each time I heard it that somehow the cowboy would not have to die in the end. And wondering if love had to be so sad.
Karafun :: Please, upload the karaoke for *"Running Gun"* of the very same Marty Robbins. It is not anywhere in TH-cam, some videos present the music but with no lyrics. It is a very famous song, almost as famous as "El Paso". Many people like "Running Gun" very much, it is very melodic.
It is so fast because it is so long. It is the first #1 hit to go over 4 minutes. Radio stations were all set for 3-3:30 to fit their commercial spot timing. This one and Hey Jude pushed the limit and the stations did not like it.
@@realfunnykidhahaha I mean, not to where you can finely tune it in 5% increments. Even so, digitally tweaking the speed would make it sound unnatural.

sad song at the end, but awesome melody! been to el paso twice! love it!!!
Why does it go so fast?
Agreed. It's too fast. The best part is no horrible backup singers like other versions.
Muy bonita csncion
slightly faster than original song, timing was way off after the half way mark.
This is the best! Thanks.
Make a kareoke of the song 'Utah Carol' by Marty Robbins.

Why do all karaoke versions of songs sound like they're sped up?
