When the call comes you don't ask any questions, you just say yes. That was the case with this 2000 Audi S4 B5 from CarTrek, I didn't know what year it was, what was done do it, only that it was $4,500 and it might get me home. Of course that sounds like a disaster waiting to happen so I booked a flight with Jake and we headed east. This car ended up being way better than I expected, it makes plenty of power, shoots fire, and eats up corners... all that's left is getting me home.

The Audi S4 is in good hands and can't wait to see what you are are going to do with it. I love the Audi's sedan's because of the movie Transporter and so anyway car looks good besides the ant's, the issues with engine. The car is going to be cool to see what's going to happen to it.

Ed is my least liked person out of the three, act's to dang arrogant. I like Freddy, they seem to give him a hard time, and I thought tyler really wanted to stab him for talking about his car. Freddy actually work's on his car's, and they gave him a hard time about his dream car. JR work's on his car's, which is better than tearing them up. JR will be doing some work on this ride, he should put one of those ozone machine's in that car, would probably kill the ants lol.

There's a box from Bayer, it's easy to use and bullet proof, there's a pesticide in the box, the ants take some of it, to there nest and kill all of them, in 2 days, all clear
The timing chains on these aren’t that bad too, its the same as the 1.8t cam chain, but main timing wise its still a belt.

Use an ozone generator in it it will kill everything in it.
Was thinking the same, ozone kills all biological things. It's way better than lots of insecticide.

Came to suggest this. It’s harsh on rubber seals and some other soft surfaces, but still better than ant swarms

So looking forward to this. My wife had a B6 A4 for 8 years. We replaced it with a 2001 A6 with the same engine and 6 speed but sadly only had it for a couple months before losing it to an accident. As much fun as that engine was stock in the heavier A6 it has to be a blast in the A4.
I used to use meth injection in my stage 3 SRT-4 in order to stay in High Octane Mode. It worked great!

That's where that car went, I was looking for it, hoping to snatch it up.... Best way to remove the ant's is use 2 house foggers. I did that in the past, works great.

As a joke someone probably smeared odorless animal grease outside and inside the car. Attracts ants in droves. The only other answer is that *someone* has been snacking too much in the car and their is some empty cheetos bags under the seats. Thanks Tyler.

This makes me miss my 99 A4 1.8t Quattro 5 speed.... It was chip'd, had neuspeed sways, bailey dv, RS4 grill, S4 fender liner, a pillar vdo boost gauge, UUC shift knob, and on and on....
The B5 S4 is a must have for any Audi fan... IF you can keep one in good condition they're stupid fun
Fortunately it's a timing belt, so it just snaps, not stretches :) Enjoy! Both you and Elliott could have this puppy running well. I still think you should have gone halvsies on both cars.

My car got infested with sweet ants (the little black ones) in an indoor parking garage at ATL airport while I was on a business trip for 2 weeks. Which, coincedentally, was exactly how long it takes for a sweet ant colony to take over your car. We love to hate our ants down here.
Have the same problem in my Scion and it's driving me nuts, got some any gel to put on the outside of the car while it sits there. What did you do to get rid of them?

Ah, I was wondering where this car went - now I have the answer. I didn't have this particular version, but I had a B5 Passat (with the 1.8T - no I didn't have problems with oil sludge, but I was also top of doing early oil changes). Loved it a lot, esp how it drove.
BTW, it's not too difficult to disassemble and rebuild the drivers door (and passenger door) lock cylinder. I rebuilt mine - worked good as new after. Trunk not popping, key fob not working (any other things - perhaps the fuel door, etc) - check for water ingress of the control box under the carpet of drivers seat (veeeeery common problem - but as a former owner, I'm sure you know stuff like that). :-)
What are the odds the Audi is modded out exactly how John Ross would want it to be? Ironic that all 3 cars are a match for Jake, Elliott and John. Christmas came early this year.
The odds are very high if they arranged it.
It's a timing belt motor, belt on the front, no chains to worry about.

Lol yeah after seeing that video I was 99% sure JR got it. I was pretty sure in elliot's video, but Jake's made me sure of it. I freeze framed in Jake's vid at the O'Reilly's and could see the S4 parked nose to nose with the Maxima.
I wonder if using an ozone generator would help with the ant problem. Stick one inside, another one in the room, close the room shut and let it run for three days. Might kill everything in the car. Humans included so no people in the room.

JR, for sure you need to change or adjust the coil overs, though the car look nice slammed and doesn't affect it in a drag race, but if you're doing an autocross then the car will suffer and might damage something.

I never knew exactly what the saying "wing flaps" meant until now. Did anyone else see the wing flap " flapping around on his plane.
You need to take it to the dyno and see what power its putting down.
You can put straight water in water meth systems. It was originally water injection and methanol was meant as a de icing agent.
Unless it's doing something funny i don't know about.
If you really want to get rid of any interior critters you need an ozone generator. Stick one in the car, seal it up and Bob's your uncle. Just don't try getting in the car if you like breathing.
Depending on the type of ant you can just take a spray bottle with some dish detergent in it and spray the ants and that will kill them. The detergent breaks the surface tension of the water and the ants drown. No stinking chemicals, just detergent and water. I don't know why it doesn't work on some types of ants but it works perfectly on the ants that come in the kitchen every couple of years.
