The only thing that I have done differently is doing the Portland cement cuppelation twice using fresh Portland on the second go around in hopes that it absorbs the base metals easier as it affords more unused surface area.
Those contacts will have to be chemically treated to separate the high quantity of cadmium thats in those contacts which is a toxic metal, it's best to leave the individual contacts loose so the nitric acid can dissolve them quicker.
Nice silver bar! Any idea what the purity of that kind of process was?? I know it was almost 2 years ago, but I'm looking to start my silver recovery in the future and I'm looking at different techniques!!!
Hi. Iv been getting silver out of contacts for the last few years and there is about 63% silver in each contact. Doing this way is much easier than with acid and iv tried it, i dont think you can reach a purity higher than 90%, mybe even a bit less
@@kaylajjdahajj9636 it is said somewhere in there comments that it contains like 35% silver, lets say we downgrade this to 30% for fun, 30g of silver x4 you got 120g of pure silver, that's worth around 100$USD but you need to put some effort into getting it out into pure silver :) hope this helps even if 5 years late to this party

what if I mix platinum and silver what would happen.
taga montanosa if the silver to platinum ratio is bigger than 9:1 then some of the platinum will be dissolved by nitric acid
