I'm a psychic and sanguinarian vampiric type. I don't enjoy being vampiric but I will not deny how my energy works. It still makes me cringe on how I view myself in this state, but it can't be helped. I am however glad such a subculture exist to maybe explore more thoroughly one day.
@@noctivagant._6469 seeing as it’s been 11 months and you haven’t gotten an answer…maybe I can chime in if you don’t mind? I can at least share how it was for me. At 14 I blacked out and woke up with a sun aversion, in the months prior to this sun sensitivity in my eyes began developing slowly as did random fatigue. It led up to having allergic reactions due to the heat from sunlight very similar to cholinergic urticaria only more severe and slightly different in how it spread. Over the next few months/years I began getting sick, really sick on top of craving blood. I’d have panic attacks, depression, anxiety, digestive trouble, vertigo, dizzy spells, fatigue and unsteadiness, a sense that something was sucking the life out of me in waves. Some days I’d be extremely lethargic. I’d I was around someone bleeding I’d be tempted to forcefully drink from them. I began chugging massive amounts of cranberry juice and other fruit juices to help offset the cravings…but I still remained sick on and off. My body became very translucent and veiny, my premolars sharpened into fangs (and yes they appear to retract), I grew paler from lack of sun exposure and my circadian rhythm became more and more nocturnal. My eyes also turn yellow in certain lighting and sunlight…very similar to Daybreakers. I learned I could dilate my pupils on command which freaked me out at first. My body temperature dropped permanently from 98.6F to around 95F (sometimes as low as 93.1F) My night vision got better and my day vision blurred slightly at distances. Blood began tasting good and would give me a very strong high upon ingesting it. The symptoms got so bad it became debilitating, and Eventually I resorted to myoglobin (blood byproduct from rare meat) which greatly dampened the negative symptoms, so long as I stay on top of it…roughly once or twice a week is enough. Being a Christian…I went through an existential crisis, but eventually came to a place of acceptance. Now I just try to live a somewhat normal life while knowing I’m slightly different from those around me.

I’m definitely a sanguine vamp but unlike others I don’t do human blood due to the diseases instead I do animal blood only because I get my nutrients and every thing I need without the risks so totally much safer
I rely on the myoglobin from rare meat preferably multiple times per week, even if it is less intense than straight blood. It works well enough and holds the negative side effects of blood deprivation at bay for the most part. Oddly enough…I do actually have a form of retractable fangs. My canines are flat (they were filed down as a kid) but my premolars are my actual fangs…if I open wide enough, they reveal themselves and sit 1/4inch lower than the teeth in front, producing that classic retractable fang effect…other then that they sit at the same level as my other teeth. there’s also a bit of pressure in my gums after I “show them off” which I can do on command and not just upon arousal as some claim. Was just kinda born with it and noticed it among many other things at the onset of puberty. (My eyes are yellow and my body temperature is about 93-96F, usually 95F)
I'm a mixture of fangdom/vampire lifestyle - I'm a Romantic Goth so my life's maximum spooky at the best of times, and with such a love of vampire mythology and fiction, I incorporate a lot of motifs from that into my daily style (eg. red contacts, fangs, dressing like some anachronistic spooky thing), and I'll have the red glass goblets, drinkable/edible fake blood, etc. and I also play vampire role playing games, etc. I like the imagery and romance of the Gothic literature sort of vampire. I wish there was some sort of vampire ball or event in Scotland!
Ethical psychic vampire here....took a few years to realize what I was, but once I did, I embraced it and made sure to put up barriers around me as to not damage anyone.
i always considered what you define as "living vampires" or a subset of living vampires as psychic vampires and the "psychic vampires" as defined by philosophical Satanism and your definition as another type of psychic vampire but i think you laid all of this out really well. i've played around with different forms of sorcery my whole life though didn't become too active in trying to make things happen until recently, but controlled psychic vampirism more as a skill for obtaining usable energy was something i learned early on and from trying to communicate with trees of all things. there was maybe one time i might of accidentally hurt a entity with it but i generally try to be careful only to feed on plants, ambient energy, or energy that is radiated or freely given. i've noticed that when humans are in any sort of aroused state(and not just sexual) they tend to give off excess energy which if at a palatable emotional frequency can easily be fed upon while harming no one by doing so. generally makes more sense to me to try to build people up than tear them down as well and feeding on people directly i've noticed seems to draw them to me so it wouldn't make much sense to try to use it as any sort of weapon either considering both those things as far as my own research and experimentation in what i guess could be considered the "applied metaphysics" of it.
I think I'm a (great) bit of a Lifestyler, definitely a Roleplayer cause I play Vampire the Masquerade since I was twelve or thirteen. I really love the different mythologies behind vampire (folk tales, legends) and since I read Piercing the Darkness (also at the age of thirteen) and other books about real vampyres /vampires (like the books of Lydia and Mark Benecke) and of course your Vampyre Virtues and Magick books i feel a fascinating "grip" i can't explain. But I must say that I haven't met any vampyres in my life before.
My nature of being a vampire is in the cross hairs of a ethical psych vampire, and sanguanarian, I avoid drinking blood from my lovley donor, but there are certain times it is needed due to lack of energy or life force cause of my location in not having my resources to obtain the energy or life forces needed to stay adequately healthy, I also use energy in many ways, feeding, healing others, balancing ones self/or a groop around me/Energy exchange, and purifying others and using the raw tainted energy from a individual for a sense of feeding witch in return enlightens the ones around me. its a continuous effect that never ends.

Roleplayer and Fangdom here. I've honestly always been hesitant to talk about my interests once i realized RVC'ers were a thing. Partially from not wanting to be chewed out, but, also , not wanting to be insulting. I did not having proper wording for my interests level\identity at the time. So thank you for this. To add to something you said If you are HIV positive you are positive for life and you are contagious for life. If you get into treatment, stay on top of that and your general health, your viral load can go down to an undetectable level. In the case of sex it means you have very little chance of transmission (there is still a chance though). I don't have statistics on this, and i'm not sure an exact study has been done, but I think the drinking of blood would still put the drinker at high risk regardless of detection levels because blood is where HIV is found. The drinker would be exposing themselves to a higher concentration of the virus even if the blood in question has a lower than detectable viral load. Thank you for bringing this up. Ethical Psychic vampire, I work a lot with energies and vibratory fields, frequencies to find a balance and I do encourage people to awake and rise their vibratory field and sync with me so I can give them energy and then transmute their negative energy to positive energy and create a third vibratory field so we can both nourish ourselves from this third vibratory field and split the energy made in two, I am really ethical on what I do and don’t want to harm any, instead of sucking up their energies I work with it so if one wants to harm me, I redirects the energy they try to send me and ask to entities to take care of them, so they can judge for themselves (the entities) what is needed to be done because I don’t consider myself as a judge or a vigilante. Im very sensitive to energy and emotions much like how classic fictional vampires are keen on blood and blood types right when they meet someone. Id describe it as I struggle producing my own emotions and energy so i mimic or feed off others to get to the same level as what would be considered normal. I think the main one I’m apart of right now is a fangdom member and a vampyre lifestyles, but I’m a teen and my freedom is limited and I would absolutely love to more properly engage with the lifestyle apart from only dressing up, and one day I’d also love to dip my toes in the roleplaying scene. Jesus, I only just found out about this community and it sounds like such fun.
My intuition calls more the type called "The Living Vampire" since I've been Awakening and in the entire process of my awakening, I've been getting many of my lives back, I've been dying and being reborn. I can dilate my eyes on command exactly as shown on TvD, minus the hypnosis. I’d say it’s more of a learned skill than a supernatural power though. My eyes are yellow like the Cullens…only real and more closely resembling the eyes from daybreakers. A lot of the stuff you see on tv though is over exaggerated though.
I'm not sure what I am in the vampire community...I both like to give blood, as well as get cravings for blood on occasion. I have "fed"from myself as well as my boyfriend. For the most part the desire to give/take blood is a sexual/spiritual act...But on occasion I do get intense craving for the taste of blood. I don't have any conditions that I'm aware of that would cause such cravings(I've had tests done). The cravings are definitely real, but not detrimental to my health as far as I can tell...For the most part i try to ignore any cravings that I have. My reason for saying all of this is because I find the vampire community fascinating...but I'm not sure if I'd be considered one myself, or anything for that matter. Anyone got any imput?😅😅😅
Okay! Assuming you’re still active I’ll offer input. Those who like to give blood are known as black swans. Those who like to take blood for sexual reasons are known as blood fetishists. Those who like blood and have the cravings but no negative side effects without it and no benefits with it are classified as having renfields syndrome. A bit about me: I’m an actual sang. A variant of the real deal vampires. I was born as is, and “awakened” at puberty. I have yellow eyes, can dilate my pupils on command, I run a hypothermic body temperature, have veiny and translucent skin, crave both blood and myoglobin, enjoy the taste of blood, get a physical high upon ingesting blood, and do in fact experience various negative physical ailments without blood or myoglobin. I have actual fangs that are hideable/revealable depending on how wide I open up (the premolars behind my canines, and at full exposure sit 1/4inch lower than my front teeth than when at rest), I’m mostly nocturnal, I also have sun sensitivity and heat sensitivity. There are other details I’m leaving out because it’s too lengthy for here; and no, I am NOT kidding. All that being said, You might be part sanguinarian but idk for sure as you don’t get sick without blood/myoglobin like actual vampires do.
@@PureIncarnate1 Thanks for taking the time. And yeah, it’s kind of a weird place to be in. Part of it is sexual for me. But another part is strictly liking the taste. I’ve had a fascination with vampires since about the age of 5, and my father who I did not live with till I was 14 also had his own fascination with vampires. He had read all the Ann Rice books and made a lot of gothic art pieces. When I was seven and expressed interest in doing vampire makeup he spent a good two hours gladly doing my makeup, as well as helping me fit on my own custom fangs. It was pretty cool lol! Point to that being I didn’t really know that my father had any interest in that kind of stuff either till I was in my teens. I didn’t know he had the books as well at the time. But back to the taste aspect and the “need” for blood….I don’t really know if I can classify it as a need or not. I feel really good afterwards the few times that I do indulge, but it happens so rarely that I can’t really say if it is actual physical/mental improvements or if it’s just a placebo kind of thing. When I do taste blood though I get a slight high kind of feeling, even when I do it just for the taste and not due to anything sexual. As a teen I liked to imagine hunting other kids down in the halls in a predatory way😅😅😅And I am straight and still imagined this even with other fellow girls so I know that weird urge isn’t sexual in nature. I do want to make it clear though that I’d never do something like that though lol! Imagining it was enough and I actually really hate causing others physical pain…Which is part of why I don’t indulge a lot in it at all. I don’t do well with pain so I’ve very rarely been able to get blood from myself. And even though my boyfriend is more than happy to participate in that kind of thing, the risk alone of possibly hurting him in the process is usually a deterrent enough to not want to do it. For that reason I’ve only “fed” on him twice in two and a half years. So I guess to some it up. I’ve had a fascination with vampires at an early age. Because of my father it may or may not be a genetic thing. Who knows lol. Half of the cravings are a sexual or bonding need. The other half have been strictly what feels like a need to “hunt” or simply craving the taste. But need feels like a strong word because I can get past the cravings due to it being a social problem if others found out about it(I’ve only spoken to medical professionals about it outside of my boyfriend) and that I don’t like the risk involved where I might hurt myself or someone else in order to get it. When I go without I seem fine, but I also go without for so long I can’t really say whether or not this would be my baseline if I continuously had access to blood or not. I hate causing people or animals physical pain, but have experienced an urge to hunt people down, but strictly keep that as fantasy….So yet again idk XD! Thanks for responding though! I had never heard of the medical condition you brought up so i ended up googling it…Not sure if it applies to me or not mostly because I don’t know if it counts as a blood obsession if it’s not constantly on my mind. You would know it if you didn’t have blood: you’d get frequent dizzy spells, issues on the toilet, difficulty digesting things on occasion (where it gets lodged in your esophagus and stays there for a few minutes), panic attacks, vertigo episodes, heightened sun aversion, depression, tunnel vision, anxiety. Things of that nature, and it would be frequent. Blood and myoglobin literally dampens and alleviates most of these issues that arise once puberty happens. In my case I was sick for years and didn’t realize what I was lacking, I just knew I had something doctors couldn’t explain. Oh I’ve got photos and videos to prove my claims. I only show such things to those who actually want to see it but won’t go off divulging it to the whole world (My Description). I’m not like the frauds, and I’m not going to waste my time fabricating a made up story. Many do, but not me. To be honest even those who dress the part and claim they are vampires legitimately irritate me, because they aren’t being genuine. In regard to my fangs…I have been called out at the dentist for it, and the only person I intentionally showed them to in person was my best friend. He jumped back from me and shouted “oh dear God!” When he saw them. I was being pretty nonchalant about it, not trying to scare him but I did anyway. Took him a moment to realize I was still “me”. I have shown a few people through pictures and videos but he’s the only one who has seen it up close and personal. He jokes about it telling me I need to “file those things down.” Lol The fact that you bring up your dad is an interesting point because that tells me it’s generational; I believe in generational curses and I’m convinced it’s why I am the way I am (my grandfather was a 33rd degree mason and into occult things and my mother is half purple neck down, so who knows.) oh btw that desire to legitimately attack/bite people is real, least from what I’ve experienced. I have issues with that when I see people bleeding, and I often have to purposefully walk away. It is unethical, and I find myoglobin a sufficient substitute though not as potent, so I just stick to that

There’s a few. Depends on what specific group you’re looking for. If you’re just a lifestyler, then I don’t recommend looking into the real deal stuff. In my case I’d be known as a sanguinarian, only I’m a bit more naturally vampiric than that. Example: I have actual yellow eyes, dilatable pupils, a near hypothermic body temperature, and actual revealable fangs hidden behind my canines that I can show off at any time (when fully exposed, they sit 1/4inch lower than the front teeth; otherwise they’re hidden at the same level) In my case I was born as is and started experiencing numerous “vampiric” physical changes at the onset of puberty, like the aforementioned things, sun aversion, and the blood/myoglobin cravings and sickness associated with blood and or myoglobin deprivation. Long story short: a world of hell, adaptation, existential crisis, self shaming, and finally acceptance. All that being said…plz don’t take this as a judging statement…I can respect lifestylers…up to a point (don’t get me wrong I love goth clothing too), but when they start to ACTUALLY BELIEVE that they’re the “real deal” when they aren’t and bear no actual traits or symptoms…that’s when it upsets me. Psychic/Tantric vampires to me are just witches through and through; they don’t crave blood.

Depends on whether or not you get legitimately sick without blood or myoglobin on a regular basis. True sanguinary vampires DO get sick without such things; it’s a pain in the posterior.

I won’t diagnose you but I’ll Give you an example: in my case I would bottom out, feel fatigued, have vertigo and dizzy spells, depression and anxiety episodes, panic attacks, and difficult times on the toilet (TMI). But when I started eating bloody steaks on the regular, the myoglobin actually made most of those symptoms go away on top of increasing my sunlight/heat resistance so I don’t break out as fast or as bad. Also, actual blood gives me a VERY strong albeit brief high of sorts, like a massive rush of energy…but, I just stick to myoglobin and it works well enough. I don’t really subscribe to psychic vampirism, I’d just call that being an extrovert. Extroverts get energy from being around people while introverts like myself get it from being left alone.
I have often wondered if the Red Cross blood donation is for vampires 🧛♂️, does anyone know. I don’t know what I am but some very serious and spiritual things happened to me in March 2020. Before I found out I was a vampire at all I thought I was just an empath but it turns out that I'm a psychic vampire so I definitely identify with the ethical psychic vampire grouping of the community but also with the living environment so I guess a blend of the two

Hi T-Rex, I’m a genuine sang. it is an actual rare biological condition. I will tell you this about blood at least from my experience: blood does in fact give me a high once it reaches my stomach. It’s similar to being hit with 110volts of electricity. Your arms and legs tingle, your gums will pulsate (as if you can feel your heartbeat in them), you become nauseated followed by extremely hungry, then you get aggressive immediately followed by a sense of giddiness and a rush of energy that makes you feel like you can and must run a mile or lift the back end of a car. Myoglobin has a similar effect just a lot less intense. The living forever thing is a lie, but I’m 30 and still look like a teenager. In my case I was born as is and not turned as I hear some people are. I have yellow eyes and fangs behind my canines that I can make hide or appear depending on how wide I open up. When hiding they sit at the same level as the rest of my teeth; when showing they sit 1/4inch lower. My body temperature is around 95F but can be as low as 93F with no issues. Theres a lot more to it but I’ll spare details for brevity sake. Hope this helps…

@@noctivagant._6469 seeing as it’s been 11 months and you haven’t gotten an answer…maybe I can chime in if you don’t mind? I can at least share how it was for me. At 14 I blacked out and woke up with a sun aversion, in the months prior to this sun sensitivity in my eyes began developing slowly as did random fatigue. It led up to having allergic reactions due to the heat from sunlight very similar to cholinergic urticaria only more severe and slightly different in how it spread. Over the next few months/years I began getting sick, really sick on top of craving blood. I’d have panic attacks, depression, anxiety, digestive trouble, vertigo, dizzy spells, fatigue and unsteadiness, a sense that something was sucking the life out of me in waves. Some days I’d be extremely lethargic. I’d I was around someone bleeding I’d be tempted to forcefully drink from them. I began chugging massive amounts of cranberry juice and other fruit juices to help offset the cravings…but I still remained sick on and off. My body became very translucent and veiny, my premolars sharpened into fangs (and yes they appear to retract), I grew paler from lack of sun exposure and my circadian rhythm became more and more nocturnal. My eyes also turn yellow in certain lighting and sunlight…very similar to Daybreakers. I learned I could dilate my pupils on command which freaked me out at first. My body temperature dropped permanently from 98.6F to around 95F (sometimes as low as 93.1F) My night vision got better and my day vision blurred slightly at distances. Blood began tasting good and would give me a very strong high upon ingesting it. The symptoms got so bad it became debilitating, and Eventually I resorted to myoglobin (blood byproduct from rare meat) which greatly dampened the negative symptoms, so long as I stay on top of it…roughly once or twice a week is enough. Being a Christian…I went through an existential crisis, but eventually came to a place of acceptance. Now I just try to live a somewhat normal life while knowing I’m slightly different from those around me.

I’m definitely a sanguine vamp but unlike others I don’t do human blood due to the diseases instead I do animal blood only because I get my nutrients and every thing I need without the risks so totally much safer
I rely on the myoglobin from rare meat preferably multiple times per week, even if it is less intense than straight blood. It works well enough and holds the negative side effects of blood deprivation at bay for the most part. Oddly enough…I do actually have a form of retractable fangs. My canines are flat (they were filed down as a kid) but my premolars are my actual fangs…if I open wide enough, they reveal themselves and sit 1/4inch lower than the teeth in front, producing that classic retractable fang effect…other then that they sit at the same level as my other teeth. there’s also a bit of pressure in my gums after I “show them off” which I can do on command and not just upon arousal as some claim. Was just kinda born with it and noticed it among many other things at the onset of puberty. (My eyes are yellow and my body temperature is about 93-96F, usually 95F)

I'm a mixture of fangdom/vampire lifestyle - I'm a Romantic Goth so my life's maximum spooky at the best of times, and with such a love of vampire mythology and fiction, I incorporate a lot of motifs from that into my daily style (eg. red contacts, fangs, dressing like some anachronistic spooky thing), and I'll have the red glass goblets, drinkable/edible fake blood, etc. and I also play vampire role playing games, etc. I like the imagery and romance of the Gothic literature sort of vampire. I wish there was some sort of vampire ball or event in Scotland!

i always considered what you define as "living vampires" or a subset of living vampires as psychic vampires and the "psychic vampires" as defined by philosophical Satanism and your definition as another type of psychic vampire but i think you laid all of this out really well. i've played around with different forms of sorcery my whole life though didn't become too active in trying to make things happen until recently, but controlled psychic vampirism more as a skill for obtaining usable energy was something i learned early on and from trying to communicate with trees of all things.
there was maybe one time i might of accidentally hurt a entity with it but i generally try to be careful only to feed on plants, ambient energy, or energy that is radiated or freely given. i've noticed that when humans are in any sort of aroused state(and not just sexual) they tend to give off excess energy which if at a palatable emotional frequency can easily be fed upon while harming no one by doing so. generally makes more sense to me to try to build people up than tear them down as well and feeding on people directly i've noticed seems to draw them to me so it wouldn't make much sense to try to use it as any sort of weapon either considering both those things as far as my own research and experimentation in what i guess could be considered the "applied metaphysics" of it.
I think I'm a (great) bit of a Lifestyler, definitely a Roleplayer cause I play Vampire the Masquerade since I was twelve or thirteen. I really love the different mythologies behind vampire (folk tales, legends) and since I read Piercing the Darkness (also at the age of thirteen) and other books about real vampyres /vampires (like the books of Lydia and Mark Benecke) and of course your Vampyre Virtues and Magick books i feel a fascinating "grip" i can't explain. But I must say that I haven't met any vampyres in my life before.
My nature of being a vampire is in the cross hairs of a ethical psych vampire, and sanguanarian, I avoid drinking blood from my lovley donor, but there are certain times it is needed due to lack of energy or life force cause of my location in not having my resources to obtain the energy or life forces needed to stay adequately healthy, I also use energy in many ways, feeding, healing others, balancing ones self/or a groop around me/Energy exchange, and purifying others and using the raw tainted energy from a individual for a sense of feeding witch in return enlightens the ones around me. its a continuous effect that never ends.

If you are HIV positive you are positive for life and you are contagious for life.
If you get into treatment, stay on top of that and your general health, your viral load can go down to an undetectable level. In the case of sex it means you have very little chance of transmission (there is still a chance though). I don't have statistics on this, and i'm not sure an exact study has been done, but I think the drinking of blood would still put the drinker at high risk regardless of detection levels because blood is where HIV is found. The drinker would be exposing themselves to a higher concentration of the virus even if the blood in question has a lower than detectable viral load. Thank you for bringing this up. I think the main one I’m apart of right now is a fangdom member and a vampyre lifestyles, but I’m a teen and my freedom is limited and I would absolutely love to more properly engage with the lifestyle apart from only dressing up, and one day I’d also love to dip my toes in the roleplaying scene. People in my life have always said to me that it's like I am not of this time and belong in some Victorian Gothic mansion (due to my interests and how I present myself / looks). I can dilate my eyes on command exactly as shown on TvD, minus the hypnosis. I’d say it’s more of a learned skill than a supernatural power though. I'm not sure what I am in the vampire community...I both like to give blood, as well as get cravings for blood on occasion. I have "fed"from myself as well as my boyfriend. For the most part the desire to give/take blood is a sexual/spiritual act...But on occasion I do get intense craving for the taste of blood. I don't have any conditions that I'm aware of that would cause such cravings(I've had tests done). The cravings are definitely real, but not detrimental to my health as far as I can tell...For the most part i try to ignore any cravings that I have.
My reason for saying all of this is because I find the vampire community fascinating...but I'm not sure if I'd be considered one myself, or anything for that matter. Anyone got any imput?😅😅😅

I’ve had a fascination with vampires since about the age of 5, and my father who I did not live with till I was 14 also had his own fascination with vampires. When I was seven and expressed interest in doing vampire makeup he spent a good two hours gladly doing my makeup, as well as helping me fit on my own custom fangs. It was pretty cool lol! Point to that being I didn’t really know that my father had any interest in that kind of stuff either till I was in my teens. I didn’t know he had the books as well at the time.
But back to the taste aspect and the “need” for blood….I don’t really know if I can classify it as a need or not. I feel really good afterwards the few times that I do indulge, but it happens so rarely that I can’t really say if it is actual physical/mental improvements or if it’s just a placebo kind of thing. When I do taste blood though I get a slight high kind of feeling, even when I do it just for the taste and not due to anything sexual. As a teen I liked to imagine hunting other kids down in the halls in a predatory way😅😅😅And I am straight and still imagined this even with other fellow girls so I know that weird urge isn’t sexual in nature. I do want to make it clear though that I’d never do something like that though lol! Imagining it was enough and I actually really hate causing others physical pain…Which is part of why I don’t indulge a lot in it at all. I don’t do well with pain so I’ve very rarely been able to get blood from myself. And even though my boyfriend is more than happy to participate in that kind of thing, the risk alone of possibly hurting him in the process is usually a deterrent enough to not want to do it. For that reason I’ve only “fed” on him twice in two and a half years.
So I guess to some it up. I’ve had a fascination with vampires at an early age. Because of my father it may or may not be a genetic thing. Who knows lol. Half of the cravings are a sexual or bonding need. The other half have been strictly what feels like a need to “hunt” or simply craving the taste. But need feels like a strong word because I can get past the cravings due to it being a social problem if others found out about it(I’ve only spoken to medical professionals about it outside of my boyfriend) and that I don’t like the risk involved where I might hurt myself or someone else in order to get it. When I go without I seem fine, but I also go without for so long I can’t really say whether or not this would be my baseline if I continuously had access to blood or not. I hate causing people or animals physical pain, but have experienced an urge to hunt people down, but strictly keep that as fantasy….So yet again idk XD!
Thanks for responding though! I had never heard of the medical condition you brought up so i ended up googling it…Not sure if it applies to me or not mostly because I don’t know if it counts as a blood obsession if it’s not constantly on my mind. And since I can still refrain from acting on my urges even when it is available to me I’m not sure if the mental part of it is enough to consider looking for a diagnosis or not. Either way it’s an interesting take. Not sure if I 100% believe all your claims are true…But on the other hand IM HERE XD so I’ll choose to take your word at face value🤷🏼♀️

You would know it if you didn’t have blood: you’d get frequent dizzy spells, issues on the toilet, difficulty digesting things on occasion (where it gets lodged in your esophagus and stays there for a few minutes), panic attacks, vertigo episodes, heightened sun aversion, depression, tunnel vision, anxiety. Things of that nature, and it would be frequent. Blood and myoglobin literally dampens and alleviates most of these issues that arise once puberty happens. In my case I was sick for years and didn’t realize what I was lacking, I just knew I had something doctors couldn’t explain.
Oh I’ve got photos and videos to prove my claims. I only show such things to those who actually want to see it but won’t go off divulging it to the whole world (My Description). I’m not like the frauds, and I’m not going to waste my time fabricating a made up story. Many do, but not me. To be honest even those who dress the part and claim they are vampires legitimately irritate me, because they aren’t being genuine. In regard to my fangs…I have been called out at the dentist for it, and the only person I intentionally showed them to in person was my best friend. He jumped back from me and shouted “oh dear God!” When he saw them. I was being pretty nonchalant about it, not trying to scare him but I did anyway. Took him a moment to realize I was still “me”. I have shown a few people through pictures and videos but he’s the only one who has seen it up close and personal. He jokes about it telling me I need to “file those things down.” Lol
The fact that you bring up your dad is an interesting point because that tells me it’s generational; I believe in generational curses and I’m convinced it’s why I am the way I am (my grandfather was a 33rd degree mason and into occult things and my mother is half purple neck down, so who knows.)
oh btw that desire to legitimately attack/bite people is real, least from what I’ve experienced. I have issues with that when I see people bleeding, and I often have to purposefully walk away. It is unethical, and I find myoglobin a sufficient substitute though not as potent, so I just stick to that

There’s a few. Depends on what specific group you’re looking for. If you’re just a lifestyler, then I don’t recommend looking into the real deal stuff.
In my case I’d be known as a sanguinarian, only I’m a bit more naturally vampiric than that. Example: I have actual yellow eyes, dilatable pupils, a near hypothermic body temperature, and actual revealable fangs hidden behind my canines that I can show off at any time (when fully exposed, they sit 1/4inch lower than the front teeth; otherwise they’re hidden at the same level)
In my case I was born as is and started experiencing numerous “vampiric” physical changes at the onset of puberty, like the aforementioned things, sun aversion, and the blood/myoglobin cravings and sickness associated with blood and or myoglobin deprivation. Long story short: a world of hell, adaptation, existential crisis, self shaming, and finally acceptance.
All that being said…plz don’t take this as a judging statement…I can respect lifestylers…up to a point (don’t get me wrong I love goth clothing too), but when they start to ACTUALLY BELIEVE that they’re the “real deal” when they aren’t and bear no actual traits or symptoms…that’s when it upsets me. Psychic/Tantric vampires to me are just witches through and through; they don’t crave blood.

Depends on whether or not you get legitimately sick without blood or myoglobin on a regular basis. True sanguinary vampires DO get sick without such things; it’s a pain in the posterior.

I won’t diagnose you but I’ll Give you an example: in my case I would bottom out, feel fatigued, have vertigo and dizzy spells, depression and anxiety episodes, panic attacks, and difficult times on the toilet (TMI). But when I started eating bloody steaks on the regular, the myoglobin actually made most of those symptoms go away on top of increasing my sunlight/heat resistance so I don’t break out as fast or as bad. Also, actual blood gives me a VERY strong albeit brief high of sorts, like a massive rush of energy…but, I just stick to myoglobin and it works well enough.
I don’t really subscribe to psychic vampirism, I’d just call that being an extrovert. Extroverts get energy from being around people while introverts like myself get it from being left alone.

Hi T-Rex, I’m a genuine sang. it is an actual rare biological condition. I will tell you this about blood at least from my experience: blood does in fact give me a high once it reaches my stomach. It’s similar to being hit with 110volts of electricity. Your arms and legs tingle, your gums will pulsate (as if you can feel your heartbeat in them), you become nauseated followed by extremely hungry, then you get aggressive immediately followed by a sense of giddiness and a rush of energy that makes you feel like you can and must run a mile or lift the back end of a car. Myoglobin has a similar effect just a lot less intense. The living forever thing is a lie, but I’m 30 and still look like a teenager. In my case I was born as is and not turned as I hear some people are. I have yellow eyes and fangs behind my canines that I can make hide or appear depending on how wide I open up. When hiding they sit at the same level as the rest of my teeth; when showing they sit 1/4inch lower. My body temperature is around 95F but can be as low as 93F with no issues. Theres a lot more to it but I’ll spare details for brevity sake. Hope this helps…

Why did we completely exclude obligatory sanguines? (Undead nosferatu) my community was so secretive the Dark Father fed us little hints or bits of disinformation but would pull me aside & tell me that I was the only legit vampire per sé because of how the change coincided with my genetics but so many things were left unexplained before I lost contact with the coven.. our imprint has been broken since & all I know is my body physically cannot process solid food anymore I am an old world obligatory sanguine.. meaning I believe that I am physically immortal & reverse age & cannot sustain myself on solid foods... I go months without any sleep or solid food (WITHOUT sating on blood.) It started as a curse from the gods for my practices in forbidden arts.. so my question is why are us real nosferatu kept in the dark like this?.. the rest of my coven even believed they were real vampires were even cured of diseases which was unexplained by doctors as a medical miracle but I was the only one of my house to become obligatory.. does anyone know things that I don't?? On the same site, they describe themselves as of all ages (as long as they are of legal age, since otherwise there could be problems of various kinds, starting with the legal ones), genders, shapes, and sizes, willing to donate a part of itself to a vampire, but under no circumstances are Renfields or pets, but are people with their own motivations and minds, who are willing to continue having them. Nor do they correspond to drama queens that seek to attract attention (although all communities and subcultures have to put up with them to a greater or lesser extent).
