It’s very hard to win against Rogue Wave on the technical side for Jairo so it’s the best way to perform like this because Jairo is better at musicality. Always hard to judge a battle of style like this.
I can see why Rogue Wave won from a battle point of view. They were hitting harder live and had more crowd engagement. However, Jairo are setting a new standard and just sound incredible... My new favorites for sure. Also, their recent videos were just absolutely crazy.
musical doesn't really win in a battle centered competition that has been pretty much since the inception of beatbox. jairo would really shine in bbu and creating their own music, really hope they grow big!
Imo, from a judges perspective, first round is clearly for Rogue Wave, covered all the categories while still battling and keeping it super complex. Jairo spent 1 minute singing and like 25 seconds beatboxing, and it wasn't as complex as any of the things rogue wave did in the first round, was just bass and yamori doing his technique like we have already heard before, not much variety or anything new there Second round I would say it's a tie both did complex melodic techniques, Jairo on teh second round had better pitching a little bit but sadly it didn't sound good with their mic techniques, don't know why the covered up their mic and you could barely hear them So for me it's clear to Rogue Wave, they ticked every box of every category meanwhile Jairo didn't hit every box especially in their first round. Not bad for a first performance for Jairo tho👏🏾
It is more difficult to boil the place with a simple composition. I know Rogue Wave skills are amazing, but he didn't really win my heart. I think Jairo win
Imo jairo spent too much time on singing in building up. I like and respect their style and musicality, but at the same time they need to do more agressive drop when it comes to a battle.
Yo sxin ! Everything aside pls let us know about the background beat in your video... Kinda the best drill beat I heard for a long time... Please please share if you have it...
Probably unpopular opinion, although nice to the ears I don’t think that singing should be the main element in a beatbox routine. I don’t think that good singing skills should be used as itself too much but rather as voice effects. As you said after Jairo’s first round, it doesn’t sound like beatbox anymore. I still appreciate the skills though and as I said it’s nice to the ears.
If it was BBU or another festival vibe, Jairo easily.. I think RW came with the battle routines that the judges are accustomed to and are looking for at GBB. Just my 2cents
If it were a singing competition Jairo would've won for sure! They're amazing, and super talented. But it's a beatbox battle and the majority of their first round had minimal beatbox involved. Again, super talented and skilled, but yeah Rogue wave smashed it.
No way Jairo won this from an objective standpoint. In no metric were they really better (maybe pitch - Rogue Wave were really still good here though anyway). The second rounds were close but the first round was a landslide win to Rogue Wave. Way more technical skill, diversity of beats, battle energy (really important - it is a battle), crowd hype. On top of this all, Jairo are doing cover songs only - they're also getting repetitive in terms of sound style and round structure. They had no battle presence whatsoever. It's clear how much good prep can ensure success - everything from Rogue Wave this year was so well planned and trained, from their routines themselves right through to their stage movements and mannerisms. Same reason why Colaps clearly won against King Inertia in 2021 - KI sounds sick and no-one does it like him, but Colaps's overall preparedness and structure and everything else was so superior. I'm getting similar vibes here. Jairo's sound is amazing though - fantastic for showcase/concert style performances. They just hit different.
I would say it's a close battle, although I personally hope Jairo could win, They're going full musical on the 1st round, which is hard to score high compare to a technical and well-rounded round from Rogue wave, and for their 2nd round it's a close one, but for quality of sound rogue wave is better, and for pitching, I don't like the melody rogue wave did, and as it's a minor chord melody, it's also hard to tell whether they had mistake from live, overall I think Rogue won the 1st round objectively, and tie on 2nd round.
Sorry transalte me : jairo na fait que de chanter dans un tournois de beatbox, Rogue Wave on vraiment étai extrêmement technique de leur élimination a leur grand final bref jolie reaction thanks.🇫🇷👍
the thing is that Rogue Wave is too far and too good beatboxing wise, the judge knew it thats why its easy win for them, Jairo is nice to hear but not enough, maybe only their 2nd round was pretty close, but from a non beatboxing person, im here to see beatbox not a cover, thanks that u and chezame are not judges
Decision was fine to me. First round was a clear win for RW, second round kinda even. Jairo were a bit more on point second round but they didnt play out their strengths as well as RW did. Especially the singing was not ideal in the first round. In the end you have a GBB champion and a GBB tag team winner plus whatever River's rank was last year. Thats a tough competition for a new (at GBB) tag team.
Very underwhelming tag team competition this year, maybe because you knew that Rogue Wave will mark most boxes, noone really was on Rogue Waves level and potential good tag teams were not present, didn't get through eliminations or if they got through didn't prepare enough or didn't even want to win anyways (@JackPot lol) there was literally no way for anyone else to win, sadly "music" or songs don't count as much in a battle environment
The main reason Jairo losing. They are not original, doing mostly covers. Very nice covers. But originality is a big one for me. Imho they have lost both rounds. Musicly I don't always like Rogue Wawe. Some parts are not the best sounding. But really great for a battle.
Pls tell me what does GBB mean?! beatbox competation not singing no question who won thats a rly stupid perspective to give any round to a 1 min singing.. than watch more American talent show.. cmon... xDxD
Jairo easily won this imo. Overall more professionally executed and in my opinion technicality is negated by poor execution which I think was prevalent in rogue waves rounds.
I’m sorry but you can’t call yourself a beatboxer if you think jairo won that battle, I understand we have opinions but fact weighs more then opinions and fact is jairo got dominated in the first round in every aspect except singing, ever other score on the judges scorecard definitely went to rogue wave, the second round was a lot closer but if you think jairo won the first round your kidding yourself
I hope jairo competes again so they can win the next gbb, every vice champ wins the next gbb apparently 🤣😂
Absolutely, Napom 2016 then win 2017, Dlow 2018 then win 2019, and now Rogue Wave 2021 then win 2023, also River in solo 2021 then win 2023 too😂
@@yfps2741middle school too
first time competing, it's already make it to 2nd and possibly 1st, imagine if they'll improved and comeback next year.
mad twinz too! damn
Jairo is NOT on pitch. But are more on pitch then rogue wave. Not nearly enough to give them a win though.
It’s very hard to win against Rogue Wave on the technical side for Jairo so it’s the best way to perform like this because Jairo is better at musicality. Always hard to judge a battle of style like this.
Need to see Jairo in the next GBB they were probably my favorite group

i hope u will have a new tag team partner...stitch and u?! that will be op
Congrats to Rogue Wave❤🔥. And Jairo is an amazing team. I freaking love their compositions😍🤤
Sxin with common W opinion as always 🔥
If Jairo used the round in battling jackpot in this battle they could potentially win
Exactly, I feel awful everytime I think about this. But maybe thanks to this, we may see more jairo next year.
Imo jairo spent too much time on singing in building up. I like and respect their style and musicality, but at the same time they need to do more agressive drop when it comes to a battle.

Completely agree, Jairo’s singing and musicality is great… but it is a beatbox battle.

Literally facts rogue wave wins fs idk what people on
off course i love jairo but jairo is always singing and base only
That's not beatbox, that's a cappella.
the codfish disrespect lmao
This is just my personal opinion, when it goes this far, It depends on the person's taste.
For me 1st round rogue wave and 2nd round jairo i thought jairo would win livs

Too much singing in beatbox for me. Take it to looping. Looping lends itself more for that style.
I think first round Rogue Wave won. Second round Jairo won
