This is design to Increase sanitation in the #parks, #schools, #churches, and public places with this foot pedal-activated wash station. Made with #hospital-grade #PVC pipe and simple #5gallonBucket, this station will wash approximately 60 people’s hands with each five gallon fill. This hands free wash unit was designed in response to the #WorldHealthOrganization and Center for Disease Control’s calls for increased attention to #publichealth and simple cleansing of hands to reduce the spread of viral and bacterial infections. Hand sanitizers can kill germs but there is no replacement for cleaning dirty, soiled hands with #soap and water. If washing after use of medical personal protective equipment (PPE), follow local protocols which often require taking off #gloves and gown together, performing hand hygiene, removing eye protection, removing the face mask or N-95 respirator, and then performing hand hygiene again. The uses are endless... offices, daycare centers, nurse’s stations, labs, food preparation sites, businesses, cruise ships, places of worship and social gatherings. The #CDC recommends a 0.05% bleach solution for cleansing hands, which can be achieved by adding 13.5 tablespoons of normal 5% concentration household bleach to five gallons of water. If used where children are present, make sure the unit is well secured to a solid object like a post or railing so kids won’t pull it over on themselves. Requires some assembly and PVC glue. Made in USA with 95% American parts. Due to high demand, simple do-it-yourself plans are available as well as a kit that doesn’t include the pipe and buckets but does include the hard to find parts.
