If you have not listened to En Espanol, do yourself a gigantic favor and do so. Brilliant doesn’t even begin to describe it! Even if Spanish is not your first language. Perceptive comments by all the guys, but I liked what Paul said about Raul at the end of the interview, and it applies to all the Mavericks. They do what they do with passion! Nothing important or beautiful in this life can be done without it! And, finally, I need to say this. In this interview there are two Latin guys and two Anglos. They have been together for years and they refer to each other as “brothers”. With so much division in the world today, this is so important. And I think it goes a long way in explaining why En Espanol is such a great record and the Mavericks are such an amazing band.
We just found the Mavericks during the pandemic at age 66 and recently got to see them live. This has to be the most accurate comment I've ever seen on social media, for my wife and I music has been a big part of our journey in life and the Mavericks are an amazing new (for us) way to experience the joy it!
These gentlemen are amazing musicians and true professionals.I just discovered the Mavericks last year and have been hooked on their style of music ever since.I bought my tickets for an Oct. Concert My first live Mavericks concert.I can,t wait.
I love the Mavericks En Espanol album. I love when Eddie gives a shout out to his family in La Puente. I'm native Californian .......and La Puente has special meaning to me. I adopted my Llaso Apso from a family in La Puente. I loved that dog to pieces. Years ago there was a deejay........Rick Dees who was on KHJ radio. I bet Eddie listened to him. He had a recurring character on his show......Chuy from La Puente......so naturally my dog became Chewy from La Puente. I love that Eddie comes from there. Jerry Dale comes from Mesquite where my brother lived for years. I lived in Texas for a few years as a kid. And Raul......when I was about 12 we had new neighbors move in. They had escaped Castro's Cuba and had 2 small children that I would baby sit. They were a wonderful family and I remember her Black Bean Soup. I watch them and listen to them and find them so relatable in a few small ways.

Saw then for the first time at Churchill's Hideaway in Miami 30 years ago. They had enormous talent back then and it continues today.
