Fire some of the key “union” leaders and get the unions in line. Getting the airline back in good health is more important than what the unions want at this point. BMI requirement seems kind of unfair but remember its a private airline now in a very competitive business, feel free to leave the job if you’re unhappy with such rules in a private company.
I am not in favour of PSU's being privatized but in this case ,i have massive respect for the TATA's esp for the way they treat their employees ,customers .This is a very inspiring group
Well, for those who've flown AI know, that the AI staff, like any other government run entity, act like they are doing you a favor. Now, hopefully that will change, and more people will want to fly AI again.
Flying when Tata owned Air India earlier was a great experience but after takeover by the government - total disaster - I remember a flight with Air India from Delhi to UK and its true there was no service at all during the entire long flight and only reason that was given was turbulence and that is when I decided that I would never travel with Air India again. Till date I have not but now that Tata is back I will and so will a lot of travellers around the world. All the best Tata ...... in spite of being given a loss making venture but I am sure that with management change will come profit like it was before with the Tata Airlines.
Airlines from India has a unique advantage. Due to the country’s dominance in IT sector and its associated travel needs and presence of massive number of Indians around the world, Tatas should provide the connectivity to major cities around the world (through code share etc) and take away business from Emirates, Qatar, Singapore Airlines etc. I Never liked travelling in Air India. Moving forward, I will always try to fly in Air India when possible and give my business to the airline from India. Like IT sector, India should rule in Aviation and healthcare sector and provide massive job opportunities to the citizens.
The employees were the primary cause of the plight of the Air India flights If they themselves feel not worthy enough to be associated with TATAs, they may very well call it as Day period
BMI is going to be a big hit for cabin crew, anyone who traveled in this airline know what I mean and top of it existing staff shifting under TATA are gonna feel tremendous pressure of work ethics.
TATA did a great service to the national tax payers by taking over Air India. Government companies are hard to change, but ya there are many success stories. Thank you Tata group.
Maybe you dont have complete information. AI had 60000 crores debt. Tatas took over 15K crores debt, Govt will service 15K crores debt theough sales of AI properties but it is not clear what happens to remaining 30K crores debt with Govt. Looks like Govt wanted an Indian buyer and Tatas got a sweetheart deal. It is business transaction for Tatas and nothing about doing favor on anyone.
@@amols101 ur talking about the current transaction. But, ur not thinking about current situation of airline industry. Our two big airlines jet airways and kingfisher both private closed down or taken over. Covid restrictions has crippled big European airlines. In this situation TATA group came forward to buy a government company with huge employee issue. Yes, the deal is sweet. But, how many companies came forward??
B4 I hated d sloppy service of d stupid cabin crew, cause they knew whatever they did, nobody cud take their job. Tatas will make it 1 of d best airlines n d staff shud know how d Tatas operate, definitely not like politicians.
The luggage transfer is in connection flight is terrible, mostly they will loose it and get it back after weeks, this must be changed. This is height of mis management, also connection flight frequently cancelled without prior notice or getting the passenger to other flights, this issues are prior to covid.
Lot of changes for Maharaja is needed 12 -36 hours delayed flight No respect for passengers and kids Bribery as Extortion otherwise ticket is cancelled or agent error Overbooked flights Limited food on flights Pilots stealing food at overseas stay hotels Flights are not cleaned well HUB like maharaja hospitality for the crew Aircraft crews delaying flights The rest pray to God the Maharaja is safe Jai Jawan Jai Kissan
Union employees have to understand that it's not public company anymore . If tata didn't buy air India the union would have lost everything. Including arrears
The biggest challenge to Tata's is the attitude of employees- they are accustomed to be part of babu work culture. The government employees(majority) want perks without responsibility, benefits without providing good customer service etc. The rewiring of the mental attitudes of employees from government job to a private sector work environment will not be an easy task. It is better for Tata's to recruit fresh and instill their work culture from day one than to change older employees attitudes and work culture
Very well mismanaged and well sold; part of sale. If everything goes back to its owners what is left there for the rulers to rule over...everything belonged to someone before nationalization...in every sphere of India...
I 🙏 respected Tata Son's n Group, but unfortunately RATAN Tata being a Philanthropy how come he couldn't speak against the Government regarding what is happening in India about the minority problems n the hate speeches. 😢.
It's time to lay off entire Air India staff and recruit new ones.. these staff thought no one can touch them, and they used to treat the passengers like sh!t.
Only 5% populations are traveling by flight. Whether Tata or Baba it does not matter to common people. We are injecting rocket to moon to find out water, but we can not run the airlines that is our line of governance.
Tatas will have a tough& rough time with unions who are the master cause for failure of air india. Earlier everybody thought they are the owners of Air line.
Tatas are already in deep financial trouble with Indian Hotels, steel, autombile all doing very bad. Govt wants to dump things to private sector so they can focus on core objective ....staying in power.....Iam sure lot of NPAs of Tatas have been wiped of as a favor. Managing an airline is a difficult business and dont think Tatas have the skill to manage this. JRDs era was different when airline field was just starting up. They may end up having to sell it few yrs down the line.....though I hope well for them and airline...I am not too optimistic.
these bloody unions, the bane of all properly functioning enterprises, either should fall in line without any whisper to make this great endeavour of tatas an unprecedented international success, or, if ťhese wretcheds are playing the beaten left liberal track, retan should show no mercy, leniency & boot out such incalcitrant incorrigibles!!!
Please privatize Indian Railways too, why only IRCTC should run , any travel company with 20 years in business and of great repute can be given including airlines running for atleast 10 years, let them design coaches as per their requirements, have its own staff like in airlines, only engine should be owned by Government

Surely TATA will bring back the lost glory of Air India
I am not in favour of PSU's being privatized but in this case ,i have massive respect for the TATA's esp for the way they treat their employees ,customers .This is a very inspiring group
Thank God it was not given to Adani or Ambani.
Why you bid higher then other take it
Well, for those who've flown AI know, that the AI staff, like any other government run entity, act like they are doing you a favor. Now, hopefully that will change, and more people will want to fly AI again.
Good news for air travellers. Good news for the country.
Airindia is best.
In flight meals or snacks is a great positive thing. The travel is more lively with the revised new Tata management.
Tata group will pass through all hurdles 👍👍👍
It is important to work as winning team. Need big change in SARKARI attitude of employees.
Great news! Thank you Tata!

The Maharaja now gets its Empire
Hope to fly soon...!
God bless TATA the king of hearts and the Samaritan of the needy.
One of best news for India. Got rid of ever bleeding govt company who are eating out tax payers money. Now all loss making PSU to be sold out
On time performance surely needs to be looked into seriously.
Voice & Pronounciation of ARTI are very nice.
The Public should be With Tatas now by booking Only with them as much as possible to keep the Indian National Name flying in the air
I think that everyone agrees that the old staff were not good enough. The company needs a fresh beginning and fresh blood.
Nice !
The employees were the primary cause of the plight of the Air India flights

TATA's were the original flyers in India dating back to 1953
Air India's home coming, Best Wishes to TATAs.

No doubt
Tatas can bring back A to the old glory
Lot of changes for Maharaja is needed

No respect for passengers and kids
Bribery as Extortion otherwise ticket is cancelled or agent error
Overbooked flights
Limited food on flights

Flights are not cleaned well
HUB like maharaja hospitality for the crew

Economy class ticket price to Goa from Heathrow return is £1060 🤑
What about Airindia employees and houses 🏠

Maharajah will now stand erect. The logo is ever living and stand proud now for coming home.

Exactly.

Mate, you are a living and talking dictionary. 😂😂😂
It was the worse airlines I ever travelled. Complete third world country picture was depicted in the aircraft. Hope now better.
AIR INDIA SAID TATA TO THE GOVERNMENT 😂

Dissolve the unions for good
Throw away the Maharaja Logo- get a new logo to move forward. Cheers
Remove overweight crew, you’ll save money in fuel.
Sad News
Distress Sale of Government's Assets show
