I’m so sad to see the Mirage closing. We have stayed there 14 times in the last 20 years. Our home away from home, I will miss it.
My absolute favorite memory was taking my mom to the Mirage to celebrate her 80th Birthday. ❤❤She had an incredible experience! She won a lot too lol 😂
I’ll forever hold that memory in my heart. She’s 93 now and in the Nursing Home.

My wife and I saw Shin Lim this past April, had seats 3rd row, my Wife even got a to participate in the show. Very audience interactive through the show, overall a very fun experience with great illusions!!
We will GREATLY miss The Mirage, the Volcano, Heritage Steakhouse, and Beatle LOVE!!! Vegas just won’t be the same without this Iconic property

We saw Shin Lim and we were blown away. We sat front row and were blown away! No clue how he does his card tricks he's amazing!

It was just announced today (the day this video came out) that Shin Lim would move his show across the street to the Venetian beginning this October.

The mirage is the first (and only) hotel i stayed in last year & i fell in love with the place. The pool area was great, the location on the strip was prime & just the whole tropical vibe when you walk in felt very reassuring.

Thanks for the video, it was real nice. We watched it being built, and saying goodbye to it is bittersweet…..my own memories, times and experiences with my family---age creeps up on everything! Sometimes everything just needs to go and Brand new everything needs to come in. Definitely Younger!!
my brother moved there to open the Mirage in the 90.s he loved it. I spent a week there We had a good time.

We LOVE Mirage!!! We just got back from staying there one last time before it officially closes 💔 Also saw The Beatles LOVE show one more time!!! I hope they keep the atrium as well, but I have a feeling that they’re going to tear the whole place down 🥺

My favorite memory at the Mirage is seeing the Siegfried and Roy show with the white tigers in the late 90's or early 2000's - so awsome!
This one hurts so much. We started with the Mirage in 2001 and back there every year since. Back then the white tigers were up front behind glass where Diablos is now. My favorite spot at the pool is alongside the fence across from the waterfall under the palm trees. Also, favorite spot watching the volcano was in the backside also where you were. The very first show we saw was Danny Gans as he opened up again as we were there the week of 9/11 for our anniversary.
Costa is a favorite of ours, along with the quietness of having breakfast at Paradise Cafe poolside.

@@TurnItUpWorld I remember when you covered the reopening of the Mirage during Covid and the lady attendant sweeping the pathway to the Dolphin exhibit was the same very nice ladies restroom attendant on the casino floor. She was always with a smile on her face, said hello and sometimes we carried on a short conversation.

I was just there last month to say goodbye. In my mind, Mirage began the "mega resort" phase of Las Vegas. I say that because, as I recall, resorts like Caesar's Palace, MGM Grand, etc were not as extensive as they are today at the time the Mirage opened. This was not only began the mega resort phase; however, it also was the crown jewel idea of Steve Wynn. I think we have to recall that resorts like Mirage, Treasure Island, Bellagio were Steve Wynn ideas before they were owned by MGM. And even though I am a loyal MGM fan today, these wouldn't have been possible without Wynn, and I appreciate his ideas as I kind of believe that the Wynn/Encore are still one of the jewels of the strip today. Goodbye Mirage! Let's bring it on Hard Rock!

I remember in 2019 running out of my room in Palazzo to find you & Dave by the volcano!!! Mirage was my first hotel I stayed at in 1990 ❤️
my mom and I are staying there on Sunday July 14, the last day they are allowing hotel reservations. so sad! thank you for this video :)
They will probably tear down all that Greenery and trees. Which is so sad.

We just got back from Vegas and said our goodbyes to the Mirage. It’s one of my favorite properties. We haven’t stayed there in a long time, but I will miss it! It’s such a beautiful property!

We are considering staying at the Hoover Dam Lodge to do some hiking and tours because there’s no resort fee plus it’s not a far drive into Vegas strip from there 😊 I love your videos! 🥂

Hey guys ! Congrats on getting closer to 200K . I live in south Florida and frequent the Hard Rock in Hollywood. When they built the Guitar hotel they still kept the existing hotel and just connected them. Hopefully they do that with the Mirage . I agree the atrium is pretty cool . A great property all around . I am looking forward to the Vegas Guitar hotel though . 😎😎😎
I remember the grand Opening and what a fabulous Hotel Mirage is/was. As a Poker player, Mirage was he premier poker room on the strip for most of it's existence. I don't know how many times my wife and I stayed at the Mirage. It was ALWAYS a first class property!!! Goodbye old friend!!!

Great video. I’m so sad. My husband and I loved the Mirage back in the early 2000’s.
He died 3 years ago and we had so many great visits to the Mirage. I’m sad😞🥲! Went to Tropicana for our honeymoon in 1968, which is also so sad! Damn!

I remember on my 1st visit to Las Vegas in 1988 age 11 saw the building being finished. Which opened a year later. Came back in 1991 to see it up and running. September 2022 had the pleasure of staying there. Will definitely miss it. 😢 RIP The Mirage 1989 2024
I subscribed today, l love you and your husband's content and your detailed accounts of where to eat, where to play, places to avoid, etc. I have never been to Vegas, not really planning on going but your insight would be great if l ever do decide on planning a trip there!!! Never been but sad 😢that's going. Especially for Vegas Lovers.
We just returned home from a 8-day stay at The Mirage and were very sad to say goodbye to our favorite hotel. We hope that they will keep the beautiful central greenhouse as well as the pool and surroundings of it. Will see in 2027… and in the meanwhile, will have to find another hotel for next year. Thank you guys for this precious video. ❤

I've stayed at the Mirage and it was really nice and smelled wonderful.... I want that scent.... I also went to the Beatles Love show, wasn't impressed and not my thing, but I won't begrudge others from enjoying it. I also don't know how I feel about Hard Rock taking over. I do like old Vegas charm BUT I also like sleek new futuristic Vegas... who's with me???

I miss the buffet so much here was so good. The california pizza kitchen overlooking the sportsbook. Samba steakhouse. Miss seeing the white tigers. The pool so nice one of the first of its kind. So many years of visits. Mgm really sucks how the forgot who made them. For years they've wanted to get rid of the mirage. Like it was nothing and focus on the aria, bellagio vadara cosmo. Mirage was still upscale but a resort theme. They can keep the city center hotels all the same. What really gets me is the hard rock is a music themed hotel but they aren't keeping the beatles love show. Makes zero sense. Happy bday guys this was another great video.
