- today's vid is about my favorite girl group choreos to learn!!! i absolutely love these dances so hopefully you can learn one or two in quarantine!!! these are all girl group (and female soloist) dances, mostly from 3rd and 4th gen kpop.
DISCLAIMER: I am NOT a dancer by any means, i did some ballet, tap and hip hop classes when i was younger but that was a LONG time ago! so when ranking these i ranked them based on my own experience learning them- the ranking is SUBJECTIVE so DON'T TAKE THIS TOO SERIOUSLY!! i do know that interpreting the dance in a certain style while also singing live and making sure it's in sync with other people is just as difficult (if not more) than learning the moves on their own so please take that into consideration too!
*so in conclusion, if you want to:*
• break your bones, dance to ITZY
• exhaust yourself worse than a HIIT exercise, dance to LOONA
• make yourself even sadder because you don’t have friends to do dance formations with you, dance to IZ*ONE
• feel like a cutie, dance to TWICE
• trip and probably ( most probably ) fall to your face because your footwork sucks, dance to GFRIEND
• feel hardcore, dance to Dreamcatcher
• feel like a queen, dance to Chung Ha
twice's songs are getting harder each comeback TT (not including alcohol free)

Ikr before I could easily learn like the choruses by just watching the mvs, now I need to watch tutorials and dance practises and slow it down to like 0.25 to see all the detail 😅

yeah learning it isn’t hard, but do you have the details down? textures and angles? have you cleaned it also? didn’t think so lol
also they're harder because co-ordination and sync with other dancers is way harder than it looks
as a professional dancer for 11 years i agree. people just learn it but it might look horrible if they perform it without cleaning up their moves.
Well i mean if you can do it right it is not hard but like me I like to learn and it almost takes me like 2 days to learn the dance and then 4 to 5 days to learn everything else that I missed and what I have to go and do lol

I literally don't know how to do this, this is literally my biggest problem. I'm learning easy dances, watching tutorials, .. but still I look really awkward and stiff and not sharp and I don't know how to improve without taking some kind of dance class

People honestly need to appreciate Dreamcatcher choreos because they are honestly just so hard and the girls work really hard on them. If you don’t think their dances are hard and complex, just look at the start of Good Night
Dreamcatcher has some of the best dances I have ever seen. They are amazingly talented and their dances are other level. Other girl groups have awesome choreo too, but NO ONE comes close to dreamcatchers choreo. They are masters of the stage.

I tried to learn Good Night dance but after trying to learn that intro for like 2 hours i gave up lol
It took me 2 days to learn Chase Me and that was just rough learning, it took me another day to get every small detail right. Dreamcatcher really is something 🥶🥶 seriously, they're the longest I've taken to learning choreos!
I tried learning scream and gave up very badly it was the first time i gave up i learned a lot of dances including dalla dalla and loona's butterfly and also wanna be , Black mamba and more but i can't with Dreamcatcher's choreo they are hard idk if it's only with me
Ok about Dalla Dalla: it’s actually fvcking hard😭 you look at it and think:”oh this will be easy” then actually try it and realize you missed half of the steps.

Mine is opposite 🙂 i thought it was SO hard. But when I tried to learn it was easier than I thought(sorry I just flexed-)
I swear these choreos look so easy but when you do it you'll look like a broken toy
those small details really brings the performance to life and I respect these idols for that

Even trainees were so afraid when they were told to dance to it lol

I self taught myself the dance to violeta in just two days and im not even a dancer... im proud of myself :D but i still need to work on the small details in the dance
Literally me buddy, i learned it in 2-3 days. Violeta is so easy, well for me but it somehow made its place in "hardest".

Maybe check again, trust me, when I was a beginner, I thought I had Wannabe down but realized I missed like 20 little movements. That’s why I get the little details down from the start, even if it’ll take me like a week.
I self taught myself violeta in 30 minutes I practice everyday and I record videos of me dancing, violeta isnt hard its just tricky sometimes

Yes. 4th gen focus better on dances.
Well on the bright side, fourth gen focuses on dance because of Gfriend. Gfriend’s synchronisation and their dances encourage other girl group to focus more on sync. You can see before Gfriend actually girlgroups won’t do such hard dances.

@@kongyathong I agree SNSD has hard dances. But Gfriend has a bigger influence than SNSD in this case. Dances of a lots of 2nd gen girl groups is still easy and not in sync, but dancing in sync is a requirement for 4th gen.
The main problem with Wannabe dance is it's energetic moves. I learned Wannabe just for 2 hours without details just main choreo (I memorized everything very fast, but I danced like a praying mantis😂😂) and when I've done at all details, it was hard to dance without getting tired easily. I just can danced till second chorus lol, and when I forced till the end, my legs was shaky😔 idk I'm overdanced or nah...
Kinda late, I know, but it might be a stamina problem! I've had an issue similar to yours about a year up and I kept dancing and building stamina. To help build stamina, you could go on jogs, or go to the gym once they open up again and it is safe to do so 😊

As a dancer i find this ranking pretty accurate but tbh if a beginner sees this video a lot of the “easiest” songs are actually quite difficult lets take boom boom by momoland even tho it looks very easy it isn’t, just because of the hips mouvement that a lot of beginners would not do it the right way! I hope it kinda helped! :3
(Edit; for exemple pick me by ioi being ranked a 2/10 is understandable if ur not a beginner even tho i think this dance would be a little bit difficult to master for beginners just because of the tutting and hips mouvements who are really difficult to actually grasp perfectly when ur just starting to dance)

The difficulty depends on the person, Love Whisper is one of the most difficult gg choreographies for me. But Time for the Moon Night is medium, Fingertip and Glass Bead...
really when it comes to ranking the hardness and easiness of dances it mainly but not all the time depends on whos learning the dance . like here fever ranked in the hardest choreos while for me it wasnt hard

Gashina is actually very easy I learned it in less than a hour it’s definitely perfect for beginners as it was the first kpop dance choreo I learned

I memorized all itzy dances just watching the performances. They're so tiring but not that difficult. (Obviously I have no dance technique so I can't execute it well lmao)

Yeah I wanted to try and learn not shy as my first dance because I could do the chorus by just looking at it (the chorus is so easy to memorise) but when I tried to learn the whole dance I gave up at lia first verse lmao I should learn an easier dance first
Yeah, I agree. Like the thing that makes it hard is that it’s so fast and “sharp”, if you know what I mean. It’s not that the movements in itself is extremely hard. But it’s the fact that it’s so many fast movements in so little time. So I agree that it’s easy to memorize, but really hard to execute.

from the "hard dance" categories, some choreo i learned is, more and more, fever(half of song), violeta (unfinished), fiesta, dont know what to do, and wannabe, and i swear, [ for me ] its quite difficult to learn the details, like, for example, violeta have some step tempo in the chorus that you should know so you be able to dance the choreo rightly
They have so much specific footwork that goes with the arm movements+it’s tiring.

This bring so many memories hahaha. I remember wanting to dance to Butterfly and So What but got intimidated of the difficulty. Not just that it looked hard I think it was indeed hard. Then now I dried dancing again after a long while of not to gfriend's Mago but damn. I didn't expect the difficulty. It looked easy to me but was not. I haven't practiced for two days now. I just need polishing now. And when bboom bboom was trendy I remember how I had to dance to that infront of thousands pair of eyes only by memory at an event and infront of class to get out of an embarrassing situation. Thanks to that I was saved and even won a mug. It was so easy.😂 I also once danced to a BP choreography for an audition at my school. Bp was already popular at the time but more popular now. I wonder if they still remember the girl who auditioned with a kpop song as I'm the only one among the many to do that.

Many dances can seem easy because you are probably dancing solo, but if you are going to dance in a group it is likely to be much more difficult. sjsksj
I most often learn faster by watching only performances or those programs that idols go to promote the comeback / debut.

my favourite dance to ever learn was oh, my mistake by april, i don’t know why but it was more enjoyable then other dances i have learned - it was fairly easy and i could chill out with it but it had just the right amount of power

The hardest gg dance I learned was dreamcatcher scream and it took me 2.5 days but when you start to memorize the details it gets easy

Likey may look like an easy dance when you look at it and dancing in solo, but trust me for 9 members it's difficult for them to keep up with the beats and their positions....and the same goes for all the dances, no dance is easy but all of the girls work really hard

I find most girl group dance more difficult. Bg dances are powerful but you can do it hard, rough and relax a bit but for gg dances you have to get every little detail, hand gestures right or it won't look pretty. And you also have to dive into the charisma, facial expressions too. Coz for bg cover dance, I can just do a bare minimum expression with straight face and there I already look ok. But for gg dance if I put straight they'll say I lack stage presence. So I often enjoy watching sensual dances of boy groups like, BTS - Black Swan, Vixx - scentist etc

I taught myself wannabe (my first chore learned) in 2 days, but ofc dance it like everyday for more practice. it is so fun dancing😌 i know like 7 chores now!!

gfriend is the proof that 'innocent and cute' songs can be super hard at the same time
imo:
- La vie en rose was definitely not a 2 and Don't know what to do was not an 8
- Me gusta tu was harder than Adios
- Gotta go was harder than Roller coaster, Gotta go seems slow but it's hard to nail the right angle of the move

the thing about geshina is that it is harder than it looks. cuz not only do you need body control and be able to move you hips. you gotta oose with confidence.

Izone's La Vie En Rose - It's fine. Just the hand work.
Gfriend's Me Gustas tu - had a lot of footwork. You also need to be in beat. Plus it's tricky, especially if you don't have full body control. And your expected to jump and constantly move your body. (Which means you won't be standing in one place, you have to move).
Oh My Girl's Fifth Season - body control at it's best. It might seem easy but even during the introduction ur expected to stand using your feet without your hands and to carry your weight. The hands and footwork at the chorus are difficult to memorise. You need to be fluid too.
Izone's Violeta - Your knees are ganna die thou. You really need to be in beat and you need to be fast. Especially in the chorus. The handwork is strong thou.
Izone's Fiesta - that specific part in the chorus where you bend down. Ouch. Imagine the footwork and jumping then tightening your core after. It's like a workout.
Twice's Dance the Night Away - Try at your own risk.
Gfriend's Love Whispher - Don't get fooled. Huge Warning.
Twice's Feel Special - if your stamina ain't good, don't try this. You'll be losing your breath at most.
I've tried these dances and well...yeah good luck hehe.

omg finally someone put wannabe high! i saw some other raters that said it was easy and I almost gave up on learning any others if THAT was easy to do (the whole thing)
y'all have to remember that in really easy dances like very very very, it's still really hard to not look awkward, that's why i look better while dancing to hard choreographies
