Davina Radonic me an I'm sad to say my very own friends have said to my face that horseback is not a sport, it's like ice skating it's not a sport. I honestly don't care WHO I'm arguing, horse back IS a sport we risk our lives every time we sit in that saddle
whenever someone tells me it's not hard and I just sit there, I always say "how do you know? ever tried it? do you even dare to try it?". it usually shuts them up, because they are completly terified of horses 99% of the times
Horseback riders break everything. We give everything to a animal with a mind of its own and 10 times out size everything. We trust our lives with animals that could kill us if they wanted to. We fall down. We get back up.
Exactly. I started riding before I learnt how to speak. But it took 2 broken legs and 2 years of recovery for people to understand how dangerous but exciting is our sport
I love riding... Next time someone says to me that horse riding is easy I'll say: We risk our lives every time we ride, we have the same sport but the ball is unpredictable and can kill u in less than a second, it takes years and years of practice, u dance with something 10 times as big as you that also speaks a silent language, how well do u think you could convince a 5-7 foot animal to go over a jump while " just sitting there" I would like to see you go over a jump while "just sitting there"
It's not easy to get back on a horse after you fell but if I wanted to stay happy and follow my dreams I had to get back on so I did we jumped a few more times then the horse I was riding was pretty sweaty so we were done. Every rider has falled off but we have to just get back in the saddle!
+Isabelle Howard when my horse does something wrong I blame it on myself I did something wrong my mom and dad flip out sometimes but I say "Mom I'll be fine" and I want to be a jokey when I grow up and win the triple crown with my partner yes the scrawny little skinny girl wants to risk her life winning playing WORKING with an animal u have to trust because this animal can kill u in one step...I've been riding since I was three I've been riding the same horse over and and over since that age in one year older than my horse and honestly after my papow died I think she trust me the most bc I've been the one to ride her and ride...if I had the time if give up my tv iPad computer and phone to spend 10 hours working hugging kissing my horse I board my horse at my uncles with another horse witch my uncle has kinda gave me her and I ride her aswell today I'm going to spend hours with her brushing and hugging kissing her and I'm so excited some people are like "pfft fun hah I call watching tv
my friend said "horse riding must be easy, you just sit there"I said "oh okay" so after school I took her to my yard and made her ride my horse and she started crying cause he sneezed and got scared but she said "its a lot harder than it looks" xD
I did that too after my friend said that....only my pony is quite..."fizzy". He thought it would be hilarious to canter off and buck. Needless to say my friend went into a flying somersault over his head and vowed never to set foot near a horse again.....oops 😳
Rachelll.B yeah someone made fun of the way I rode a 3 year old jumping pony and how they could do better😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 NOPE, I put them on that damn horse (they had never actually ridden before😂) they got so scared when he started trotting and she started crying😂😂😂 so yeah, then she ran away crying after I literally had to hoist her down and me and my friend were LAUGHING so HARD😂😂😂😂
This video actually made me shiver... Because damn, I'm proud of what I'm doing and come on... we sit on a 1200 pound animal just for fun, we're badass
Equestrian sport is the only sport in the world that collaborates with an animal for international acclaim. It is also the only sport in the world that exercises every muscle in the body including the brain where one has to not only be very physically fit. They have to gain the cooperation of their equine partner who can weigh over half a ton. Before anyone poo poohs what I've just written - this was taken from a scouting manual from the 1940's and nothing has changed since because a horse is still a horse. Most measurements are based on horses - horse power for engines, the width of the railroad tracks, road width - each lane is two horses wide if pulling a carriage or wagon, etc, etc, etc. If anyone wants to sit on their ass, fine - I would rather ride a horse.

My best friend is an equestrian and the respect I have is unreal. She goes the the yard every day I don’t have that time or patience. I was riding and about an hour in my legs were dead yet she does it every nigh. Like wtf respect to you all 👊🏻
Interesting fact about ERs - if someone has a horse accident, they are instantly placed at the front of the line to be handled immediately in the ER since so many of those accidents can be deadly or fatal. Raise your hand if you, as an equestrian has been in the ER more than 3X from a horse accident. Hell, when I cracked my shoulder and had a concussion I got right back on that sucker for 20 minutes so he didn't think he could pop me off and run back to his corral again. Husband had to say, "Maybe you should go to the ER." Me: "Ummm, yeah, I'm starting to feel a little sore and headachy." This is a great video.
When I read “Equestrians find a friend in that powerful creature” I almost started crying because I’ve never thought of it that way, I’ve never thought that my horse is more than a partner, but my horse is my best friend because we have a bond that nobody can have with a human nor dog or cat.
Best video absolutely love it ❤️ our sport/passion is so unique, if I’m ever having a bad day with my riding or with my horse in general this video helps me realise how truly lucky we are. I’ll never give up horses ❤️
too bad i found that video from taht guy who "stole" it but i came to your channel, checked it out and holy shit.. i ahve seen millions of amvs in my 5 years of editing and this is one of the best! couldnt have been better. i just had to subscribe you xD
Amazing video! I wish everyone who underestimates us would watch this, and finally understand that we don't just "sit there" and there is "no risk". Sometimes they just like to say that because they are afraid to get on the horse's back and ride.
My horse really pissed me off today, but after watch this wideo I want to go to stable and give him so many apologise-carrots :P My "little" boy is the best horse ever, I don't know how I could be angry with him c:
Ive loved horses throughout my whole life. Yes, i may be only 12 but even people my age think being an equestrian is easy. When i leave school early people always ask, "why do you leave school early so much?" My response? Well my response is "im an equestrian." They think its silly that i spend so much time out where my barn is, on a horse, in a paddock, field, or in a stall. I have almost everything horse related. I have paintings, videos, my calendar is even horse themed. When i invite friends over and they come in my room they ask, "why do you like horses so much? Whats so great about them? All they are, are animals that poop and eat grass." However i say, "The reason i like horses some much is because i find them better than us human beings. They may be unpredictable, huge, small, any size or weight but i still think their great. Its great that they have such a high respect to us, and that we can have a great partnership with them." When people make fun of me for liking horses and for riding i say, "have you ever tried it? Have you ever rode something ten times your size and trusted your life with that animal. Have you ever had a bond so strong that you would rather be with your horse rather than being at home watching or playing video games or whatever you do?" Of course they say no. One time my brother and i were arguing and he said. "Youre so lazy." I asked, "how am i lazy?" He said "you dont play a sport or anything." So i tell him, "i ride" and he laughed and said "riding a horse is not a sport." Its those things that drive me crazy. All i wish is that people understand what us equestrians go through.
this is just amazing i have gone through so much trying to get people to see the light. I have been hurt in so many ways, because people don't know what I risk and they think its funny to see such a devoted person love something that they don't understand. thank you!!
OMG this is amazing! So inspirational! I wish my 'friend' would listen to me and take the time to watch this coz she's a dancer and said to me the other day that equestrians (she called us just horse riders) just sit there and the worst that can happen is we can fall off or get kicked! I felt like killing her and if she took the time to watch this video I'd love to see what she'd say! :D
Tell your friend people die for a simple fall, because no fall is ever that simple. I fell and broke my femur, a bone that was said nearly impossible to break and the only thing I wanted was to get back on. A friend of mine got in to a coma from a "simple" fall, broke bones and burned 30% of her body. Also a man I know lost his leg from an accident with his horse yet got back on, because that's what we do, we acknowledge the risks yet we never think of quitting even when we nearly look in to death's eyes. Honetly getting kicked is kinda the least of our fears, our biggest fear is getting injured so badly to the point where we are told to stop, beacause that's our fear, to stop.
I am an equestrian and my friend is a dancer too and she says the same thing but yet she doesn’t even want to be around horses ( I think she is scared of them but doesn’t want to admit)
OMG this video is the best thing on TH-cam .. It made my eyes water because everyone just assumes we sit on a horse and do nothing. They don't understand the bond a rider and their horse have with each other and they don't know how dangerous it actually is to do what we are the most passionate at
THIS CLIP IS AMAZING! It's not only that we can control our animals and risks are lives, we ride because we have a bond with the animal. when we ride, they make us forget our worries. they make you see why you are living and especially, they make you get confidence!
My teacher when we where learning Spanish she said Spanish will become a second language to you I was thinking about I already know a second language of trying to commicate with the horses I ride I guess Spanish will be my third language
I love how you incorporated other sports as well. It gave me goosebumps and I freaking CANT STOP WATCHING IT!!! it made me (as an equestrian) feel proud for what i do;)
....footballers break there legs by tripping on air😂 There’s a boy I know and he thinks that footballers are stronger then equestrians meanwhile I stub my toe I say shit and I’ve seen his reactions 😂 this 19 year old guy screams and nearly cry’s about a stubbed toe
this got me through my day today I have been hurt in so many ways, and so many times it is hard to keep track. People see what I do and don't realize that I could lose my life, and they think it is funny that I love something that is out of the ordinary for them. I can't tell you how many times I have cried about words idiots who call themselves athletes through at me. thank you for putting it into words and for helping me through a bad day :)
No it's not. It doesn't. The most dangerous sport is skiing or free climbing. At Least in the UK that's what it says. I am an equestrian and have been for many many years but I hate it when snobby people try and claim that it is dangerous to make it seem worse. It's very risky but it's not the most dangerous.AQHAddie
In America at least, over one hundred equestrians are killed, while skiing is only about half that. And I couldn't find many sites with numbers on it for free climbing, but the one I did find was around the same as equestrian deaths so personally I think it's the most dangerous.
This gave me so much inspiration. I was thrown off my thoroughbred Jake when running a race on him. I broke my arm and fractured my right leg. I was told I wouldn't be able to ride ever again, but when I got home after three months and saw Jake in the paddock I started crying because I knew I couldn't give up on him or my passion no matter what. So after I saw this video a month later, I actually pulled myself to try again with Jake. Ever since we've been practicing to try to get back into racing. I really loved this video.
I'm happy you are okay, and even happier to know you got back to your horse after what happened, it takes strength and my heart is full with happiness to know that this video helped you out! It inspires me to keep editing videos and share my creativity with others. Thank you so much and good luck to you and your horse, you'll get back to racing in no time!
i seriously think this is the most amazing video i have EVER seen. i can't believe how well it sums up us equestrians. i've literally watched it like 10 times...and counting.
This is one of the most Amazing videos I have seen ! I have watched it over and over ...spent 15 years riding horses . Only added scene I think would have been even more "bad ass " is with the music a slow motion scene of a horse without bridle or Saddle , long wild mane , slowly and up close with his muscles getting up on his front two legs ready to buck , and with the music a "fast pace buck" to REALLY enhance the power a horse has : )
This is so amazing, brought tears to my eyes and made me feel like why do we even argue between us? We are one, Equestrians. We should stick together and not argue so much about which sport is better or worse. This was so well done! Amazing!
one of the best videos on youtube :) i have been watching this everyweek scince youu uploaded it and it still gives me goosebumps! the only sad thing is that no none equestrians will see this video because its on the horsey side of youtube
I absolutely love this! it shows all the aspects of riding, not just show jumping, cross country and dressage! I'm a big fan of racing and especially polo! so I love this video even more:D
Two things One why dose this make me wont to cry Two I love how this was put together as I dosent just say oh we do this realy dangerous sport but instead it acnoladges the risked other sports take but still says how dangerous horse riding can be but in a amazing way that dosent come across as we are better then other sports ❤️ (p.s I a equestrean)
I love, love, love that you featured vaulters. Most equestrianism videos spare us out. I mean, understand it, because what we do is different from all those different forms of riding. But still we work with a horse. It's our partner and we love it as all other equestrians do, too.
This is so cool, i really like how you edited it, however im not a big fan of how most of its horse racing. I don't support the racing industry. Everything u said in it is so true though.
I normally don't curse in a comment, but this video is FUCKING INCREDIBLE!!! I got the chills. You captured everything that we all feel with our horses every day in a 2 minute video. Thank you so much for sharing this with all of us. = )
wow this video is amazing. i'm proud of my horse, best guy ever. never trusted a horse in my life as much as i trust him. equestrians> your video editing tools are so awesome btw!

...Five feet? That's a pretty short horse, lol. Great vid. Thumbs up mate
A foot is 12 inches... and a hand height is about 4 inches... so a 5 foot horse would be 15 hands high and 60 inches that's pretty fricking tall
Not really my horse is 16.1hh and I still consider him as small for a thoroughbred

15 hands is just above a pony. Tall would be 17.3hh and up, which is where my guy is at

too bad i found that video from taht guy who "stole" it but i came to your channel, checked it out and holy shit.. i ahve seen millions of amvs in my 5 years of editing and this is one of the best! couldnt have been better. i just had to subscribe you xD

This is amazing!! Never before have I seen what we are, and what we stand for so clearly defined! THANK YOU!
No words....i started crying cuz im equestrian and i know how it feels to be🧤
We are equestrians and we are proud of it. Nothing can stand in the way between us and our horse.
oh wauw.. nowords
Jesse! you - here? nice.
Amazing video! I wish everyone who underestimates us would watch this, and finally understand that we don't just "sit there" and there is "no risk". Sometimes they just like to say that because they are afraid to get on the horse's back and ride.
Holyshit.. amazingg
This needs a million likes and a billion subs
My horse really pissed me off today, but after watch this wideo I want to go to stable and give him so many apologise-carrots :P My "little" boy is the best horse ever, I don't know how I could be angry with him c:
I once threw up while I was sitting on a saddle and then got back to work again. Equestrians are badass athletes💪🏻
My class: “Horse riding ya right it’s not that hard go do a really sport
Me: “ Oh ok then..... come for a ride then....
I LOVE this video! It says all, what a normal human need to know about us :D
Wow. That gave me goosebumps. It was absolutely breathtaking, and very true, couldn't have been done better! Amazing job!
The only people that under stand are us equestrian people!!it's true!!!!!!!🐴🐴🐴🐴🐴🐴🐴
This actually brought a tear to my eye, ok and now I'm crying. This literally speaks words which so many people can't say out loud; and it's amazing
Chills sooooooo much better than ANY other "we are equestrian" type video
Makes you want to ride right now
Oh my god, this is just PERFECT!! Show this to any person who dares to say, 'You just sit there' or 'It's not a sport'. BEST SPORT EVER!!
I love this video❤️❤️❤️
this is just amazing
i have gone through so much trying to get people to see the light.
The hardest thing about horseback riding is the ground....
They don't understand the bond a rider and their horse have with each other and they don't know how dangerous it actually is to do what we are the most passionate at
this is amazing! Where did you find this moving texture?
THIS CLIP IS AMAZING! It's not only that we can control our animals and risks are lives, we ride because we have a bond with the animal. when we ride, they make us forget our worries. they make you see why you are living and especially, they make you get confidence!
My teacher when we where learning Spanish she said Spanish will become a second language to you I was thinking about I already know a second language of trying to commicate with the horses I ride I guess Spanish will be my third language
love love love this!! as an equestrian this made me get so many chills... ❤️❤️
IM AN EQESTRIAN!!!!!!!
LIKE IF YOUR WITH MEH!!!
#LOVETHEHORSES
I love how you incorporated other sports as well. It gave me goosebumps and I freaking CANT STOP WATCHING IT!!! it made me (as an equestrian) feel proud for what i do;)
....footballers break there legs by tripping on air😂
There’s a boy I know and he thinks that footballers are stronger then equestrians meanwhile I stub my toe I say shit and I’ve seen his reactions 😂 this 19 year old guy screams and nearly cry’s about a stubbed toe
Do you have a horse? Put him on your horse and see what he thinks😂
@@horsegirlmaysen1900 Lmao I would but I’d be charged for murder my horse is fucking insane and she’s nearly killed me a few times 😂😂😂😳
this got me through my day today
I have been hurt in so many ways, and so many times it is hard to keep track. People see what I do and don't realize that I could lose my life, and they think it is funny that I love something that is out of the ordinary for them. I can't tell you how many times I have cried about words idiots who call themselves athletes through at me. thank you for putting it into words and for helping me through a bad day :)
Equestrianism is a sport. But it's not the most dangerous.
It is the most dangerous. It has the highest mortality rate out of all of the sports. Unless your sport is jumping off buildings lmao
It is the most dangerous sport actually. A horse can kill you with his own body, or with just one kick!
Then what is?
This movie is so insanely good! You have rely captured what it means to be an equestrian! I absolutely love it!!
Only added scene I think would have been even more "bad ass " is with the music a slow motion scene of a horse without bridle or Saddle , long wild mane , slowly and up close with his muscles getting up on his front two legs ready to buck , and with the music a "fast pace buck" to REALLY enhance the power a horse has : )
The part where it said, "And that passion will never stop flowing through our veins" that part ALWAYS gives me goosebumps!!! I love it!
The people who disliked this video, just couldn’t wrap their minds around how hard we work each day to ride.
I absolutely love this! it shows all the aspects of riding, not just show jumping, cross country and dressage! I'm a big fan of racing and especially polo! so I love this video even more:D
got goosebumps watching this
This gave me chills! Wow, everything is true. It's a delicate balance, between passion fear and dedication
Thank you for putting what a equestrian is and does for everyone to finally understand it's more then a sport
Two things
One why dose this make me wont to cry
Two I love how this was put together as I dosent just say oh we do this realy dangerous sport but instead it acnoladges the risked other sports take but still says how dangerous horse riding can be but in a amazing way that dosent come across as we are better then other sports ❤️
(p.s I a equestrean)
this is amazing!completely captures what equestrianism is about:) *shivers*
I am a proud equestrian. this video is so powerful, I cant stop watching it. great job in the creation of this video... you spoke beautifully.
By far one of the best equestrian videos I have ever seen great job!!
This is amazing omg it's so moving and inspirational
Very immaculately put together. Wonderful to watch. Thank you.
I love it!!! Your Footage that you use is really good! Love the music and your voice for Equestrians Everywhere!!
I love, love, love that you featured vaulters. Most equestrianism videos spare us out. I mean, understand it, because what we do is different from all those different forms of riding. But still we work with a horse. It's our partner and we love it as all other equestrians do, too.
I have never seen such an inspirational video...
This is very well done and highlights almost everything equestrians do. Good job!
Love the background music supports the video
This is so cool, i really like how you edited it, however im not a big fan of how most of its horse racing. I don't support the racing industry. Everything u said in it is so true though.
I normally don't curse in a comment, but this video is FUCKING INCREDIBLE!!! I got the chills. You captured everything that we all feel with our horses every day in a 2 minute video. Thank you so much for sharing this with all of us. = )
this made me cried because its so true I lots my mother in the sport but I still ride I still risk my life every day but its worth it❤
Holy shit under the ship!
The best video I've ever seen, and everything in it a huge true.
Thank you for making such a great videos :)
the last bit was amazing with the slow motion gallop. FANTASTIC i had goose bumps through the whole thing. i had to pausse to get a blanket hahaha
WOW. Simply WOW. Thank you for making this. This was just absolutely beautiful and amazing.
wow this video is amazing. i'm proud of my horse, best guy ever. never trusted a horse in my life as much as i trust him. equestrians> your video editing tools are so awesome btw!
This video gives me the chills no matter how many times I watch it
This is the truest Equestrian thing on youtube.Great work!
In class I was talking to my friend, She told me that she was an artist, I told her I was an equestrian. She was like *"The horse does all the work, and horse riding is easy, all you do is sit on a horse and hold onto the reins"*. I was about to make her hop on a horse and do what equestrians do.
This gave me chills! Good job! One of my new favorites!
wait this is perfect. like I wanna show this to my friends who say this is an easy sport because like I'm obsessed with this video!
This edit is so true! People don't give us enough credit for what we do. Where do you find all your footage and what app do you use? I'm keen to start making edits myself!
wow, this is amazing, you are an awesome editor and i love the way you explain what we are! omg i love this video so much!
