About hard times make strong men, it doesnt apply on induvisual basis but in civilizational basis, once a nation or civilization becomes too strong like Ottomen Empire, or Russia(Soviet union) or America they start getting complacent and start going downwards, its a socioEconomic trend on macro level, but good reminder that it doesnt work induvisually or in small groups.
