When will people realize that just because workaholic parents are very busy with their jobs doesn't automatically mean they are negligent? I'm sure the parents wanna spend time with their kids, but they still have to provide them with housing, food, water, and schooling! Is it important for a parent to spend time with their kids? Yes, but it's also important to have enough money so they can survive and provide for their kid!
Weird I had that exact same rant on the Nine Lives video. It annoys the shit out of me how much Hollywood demonizes parents that work long hours. We complain about things like violence or sex, but we don't think that showing hard working parents as bad will have any negative effects?
Funny thing is, back when I saw this in theaters with my friends, we thought the "unnecessary character" Pigeon Toady was the funniest part of the film...We literally couldn't stop laughing every time he was on screen
Surprised you didn't like this movie much! I'll have to check it out myself; didn't think it'd be another Lego Movie, but I thought it'd be pretty decent.
What's more cliche: workaholic parents that are never around or workaholic parents that struggle to be around but the child can tell how tired they are?
I did not expect you to actually hate this film. Though I respect your opinion on it. Also, at least we can all agree; this is better than both Polar Sh*t and Ice Age Collison Course.
Well that isn't saying much. Norm Of The North was a direct to DVD film that somehow got a theatrical release and Ice Age: Collision Course is from a series that has gotten stale over probably the last 2 sequels.
At least you didn't watch The Wild Life, I heard that movie was all kinds of shit and makes Storks look like The Lego Movie in comparison. I have very very mixed expectations with Storks so I don't know how I'll feel once I see it but I'm hoping to like it. Great review/rant Tony! I got a good laugh throughout the entire review.
I'm with you in a lot ways, albeit not as animated or to some of the lengths you went. In my review I discussed some of these things and I think the filmmakers missed some key opportunities with this movie. So many good actors mostly wasted with generic material.
I haven't seen this anime yet. But let's look at these characters on the cover here. So on the left hand side we got Elsa, Jack Frost before he became Jack Frost from rise of the guardians, Pokemon go kid's older brother. At the top we got the rockruff evolutions for Pokemon sun and moon. On the right hand side we got one of the Madagascar penguins and some bird that looks a bit like a younger Donald trump. And finally at the bottom we got a seagull from finding nemo, some redhead and baby starfire from teen titans.
Yeah, I understand your opinion, but sadly, it was a good film, just like my most memorable thing in the world. "Looney Tunes"! :D It been decades that I absolutely love this show for a very long time. And little do I know about the most disappointing animated kids film, for me, was "Thumbelina". I remember one thing when I love this film as a kid, and I was a bit scared for "not" seeing this film as an adult. It just broke my heart for me. Heck, I don't remember anything about "A troll in Central Park", and I already know it was bad anyways.
I have to hugely disagree with you Tony, I really LOVED this movie which was I didn't expect to. I went into this movie thinking I would find it okay after but it surprised me by how creative and really funny it is. This reminded me of the Lego Movie which I also went into thinking it would be just "ok" but I ended up loving it too. I couldn't stop myself from laughing all the time and I got the feels a few times during this movie. I would highly recommend this movie to both kids AND adults especially parents. Hell, I'm not a parent and I related to those scenes between the two main characters. I loved all the characters in this movie and I even noticed some anime VA's in this movie too but they were background characters for the most part and I have to agree with you that those wolves were awesome! I honestly thought you would really enjoy this movie but to find you ranting about it was surprising since this movie is DEFINITELY not rant worthy. I want to go see again because it was so funny and cause I probably missed a few jokes from laughing so much from the last one. I know I'm unfortunately part of the minority it looks like but I would say that everyone should go see this movie at least once, you will love it! ^_^
If you thought this movie's trailer was cringey, I invite you to watch the trailer for Sing and Trolls, both possessing soul-crushingly cringeworthy awful trailers.
Friendly reminder that outside of Pixar, animation studios almost always have different creative staff and saying that this is a "Follow up to the Lego movie" is like saying Alice Through the Looking Glass is a follow up to The Jungle Book because HEY they're both Disney.
16:34 BCG, you're right, it's cruel that the storks are sending The Orphan Tulip out to be with a species that she knows nothing about since she is so used to being around birds.
Who cares if they made this after The Lego Movie? It was still a fine movie on it's own(at least to me). It's fine if you dislike it though, but I found it hilarious.
I think the reason why some people don't like this film is because they were expecting this animation studio from Warner Bros to make the next LEGO movie. Last I checked the LEGO movie was their first movie they made. They need time to branch out and make stuff that isn't LEGO related otherwise they'll turn into Blue Sky Studios being forced to make sequel after sequel of Ice Age films. I thought Storks was great. The only downside I saw with it was some of the main leads were unlikeable, but could be tolerated.
wasn't expecting the next Lego Movie. I was expecting a good film with the hope that quality would at the same level. it was not. saying people dislike a film cuz they were expecting it to be like another film feels like an excuse to justify dissenting opinions. it could be right but not always
as would ANY film that follows up something fantastic. You don't think there wasn't any expectations for the follow ups to Toy Story or Shrek or even Descipable Me? Of course there were. It's inevitable buddy. It all just depends on the person watching and whether or not it lived up to their expectation.
+E1ite Yoshi I kinda agree with you on that. Warner Animation Group needs to make original work sometimes and not always release LEGO-oriented movies, otherwise, they'll turn into another Blue Sky, like you said. But, then again, this is coming from somebody who didn't really like "The LEGO Movie" and wasn't really interested in seeing "Storks", anyways.
Oh, my god. For the 2nd time this year, you are the only TH-cam critic I could find who did not like an animated movie. I respect your opinion, but trust me, BCG. There is another animated movie that recently came out that is even worse. It's called The Wild Life.
I thought the movie was hilarious! Just searching for reviews about it and found your vid. Your rant is just as hilarious! Haha. I agree with your point... Why need storks if you can have babies on your own :P VERY LARGE PLOT HOLE
You know what I just realized, remember at beginning of the film where Tulip was building those jetpacks for those flightless birds and do you remember at the end of the wolf chase scene, the wolves tried to transform into a plane, but it failed!! I thought this was huge foreshadowing of Tulip's progression where she would become the boss and she would bring the wolves into the company to further her "diversity" plan that she wanted, and she could make jet airplane packs for the wolves since they love babies and she is an INVENTOR!! After the Raft scene it was never addressed again that she could invent aircraft through out the rest of the movie!!!
Richie Osborn In his Let's Watch Something of The Lego Movie, he said that The Master was hilarious. It was definitely his favorite part of watching Storks in the theater.
Okay was I the only one who thought they passed up a major plot twist? In my mind it should have ended with the family getting their baby, and on the flight back it directs them to the house they just left. Heck they hinted at it with the storks brochure tucked away in the attic. They gave a bit that the two girls shared a birthday years apart. But her finding her family and realizing the baby is her sister would have been epic.
In my opinion it's not the worst film in the world it's just lack luster and ok. But that friggin "pigeon toady" character is absolutely without a doubt one of the worst animated characters ever put to film for me he's in the top 10!
Well to be honest it was not as horrible, insulting, and dumb as Norm of the North. The animation was actually decent, and the potential plot has some interesting concepts. The voice actors are not c listers like rob Schneider, and it doesn't ruin anyone's reputation like Ken Jeong degrading himself. that being said, it's a bit cliche and doesn't really handle the materiel as well as they could have. i like key and peele as the wolves but the whole scene was very cringe worthy in the second trailer, the first one is okay, in fact i think the trailer's for this film were so cringing and bad that they impacted my opinion of the film. What made me question how good this would be was when they kept claiming how it's from the same studio as what brought you the lego movie. meaning that they're trying to sell you of previous successes as if that should matter. not the writers of the Lego movie, the studio, which is stupid as hell.
I personally thought this movie was cute and heartwarming at a few parts, of course, I do agree with some of your complaints but I don't think the movie was that bad at all! Each to their own I guess!
True I absolutely DREADED THAT STUPID GREEN BIRD WHICH BY THE WAY WAS KINDA THE REASON I WENT FOR THE WHOLE "baby powder" scene in the commercial. I laughed at the wolf form scene, and other small things my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE was showing how gays, lesbians, single mom&dads, and people with disabilities can still have babies that was the best scene in the entire movie like yes!!!!thank you
I actually wasn't looking forward to this movie and I bailed out on this because the concept didn't look like it was going to be executed well. Good thing i decided not to review, let alone go see this.
I will agree on a couple of points you made: -Weak main villain (though Kelsey Grammer did fine with what he worked with). -While Pigeon Toady was funny a thought crossed my mind later on, what was his job at the Stork factory? It is never shown or addressed on what he specifically does. -After the revelation of Jasper the Stork he disappears from the film until the final third act. I was thinking the characters could have benefited with his help and could have been better executed with his story involving Tulip. -Jokes were hit and miss at times especially the humor like when the characters are bickering, and couple involving Pigeon Toady. -The climax was a tad disappointing especially on how the villain is defeated. -And finally the plot hole you mentioned on what is the point of the storks delivering babies since the movie implied that people can have babies without their services. Despite those missteps the film was surprisingly funny. While nowhere near perfect as The Lego Movie, this movie felt like watching a Looney Tunes or Cartoon Network Cartoon, nothing grand or special except making the audience laugh. Suprisingly just like The Lego Movie when as the film drew to a close I did not expect to be crying at the end. Final Verdict: Storks felt like a television cartoon that got a chance to be theatrically released and resulted in a not-great but hillarious comedy.
*goes to see channel page* *reads title* AN UNPOPULAR OPINION APPEARS!!!! *endless upon endless attacks* Always looks like this... although this doesn't look as bad as Kung Fu Panda 3...for now. Still, great video, BCG, keep up the good work!! :)
Ugh, Disney got the myth of Storks right in Dumbo and executed it much better! I don't think I want to see this simply due to how wrong this mythos is!
Why are the words on the box art shaking? Also, why do babies in animated movies nowadays LOOK THE SAME AS BABIES IN OTHER ANIMATED MOVIES? The worst baby in animated movie to me is THAT FUCKING BOSS BABY. I hope Tony does a rant on Boss Baby. I FUCKING HATE THAT MOVIE SO MUCH.
this was like-- 3 years ago, but being the internet-- i actually enjoyed this movie and the boss baby movie, the character designs were pretty appealing and they both get their message across! i didnt want to watch boss baby at first by the back lash-- but watching it for myself-- it made me tear up a bit. idk, i guess its kind of cool to step away from the crowd and think for yourself :')
So let me get this straight, because Tony hated this film when its getting good reviews. He's somehow losing his credibility as a critic for hating it or preferring other films over it. Also for all those people who are going to point out that he liked this certain film you though was bad, but hates this film you find good, then good for you can we agree to disagree and stop shoving are opinions down are throats. its one thing to disagree, its another thing to say hes bad reviewer just for 1 simple review out off 100 other reviews hes done.
Bud, you see how people reacted to his Akame ga Kill review? Opinion=religion on the internet. Hell, BCG is INFAMOUS, for how often his opinion is different from popular opinion. The man has guts, you gotta respect that.
I guess I was a little mad when I posted that comment after seeing comments of people doubting and questioning Tony, for simply not liking this film. Sorry If my comment came off as ignorant.
I actually want to admit that I REALLY enjoyed and liked Storks! My Mom and I both actually saw the Opening Day and I even LOVED the awesome beautiful colorful animation AND the good voice acting as well! :)
I have to disagree with you, I just saw this movie yesterday and I've absolutely adore it, definitely one of the funniest movies I've seen this year, but people can have opinions.
Sex doesn't exist in the Storks world? Then how would people enjoy their own sexual pleasure? Do people in the universe know about masturbation? Do homosexuals exist in this universe? We need answers Warner Brothers! We need it!
I actually liked this movie. I thought it was hilarious. But I can see why you dislike it since it has it's fair share of flaws.
I thought this movie was a very well done and hilarious take on the old ‘stork delivers the baby’ tale
When will people realize that just because workaholic parents are very busy with their jobs doesn't automatically mean they are negligent? Let's be honest. This movie is the new Bee Movie ( Human/Flying Animal relationships)
I think it was pretty cute and funny. Not terrible at all
I like your reviews Black Critic Guy.
This review was funny
Funny thing is, back when I saw this in theaters with my friends, we thought the "unnecessary character" Pigeon Toady was the funniest part of the film...We literally couldn't stop laughing every time he was on screen

Ice Age: Collision Course: you mean Mammoth Shit!
I loved Storks, it was such a beautiful animated movie!!!
Apparently opinions are not a thing.
***** fuck forgot the not hold on
The most disappointing animated film I've seen is my son. I am the mask.
Wow, what a weird RLM and Nostalgia Critic mash-up that was O_O
Storks was honestly funny to me i hope I'm not the only one lol. Especially that pigeon ("HOW YOU LIKE ME NOW...HU MA NA MA NAAA")
I'd thought the Storks movie is hilarious
Storks was fucking Awesome! My daughter enjoyed it.
YOU ARE A BAD FLIMMER
I'm with you in a lot ways, albeit not as animated or to some of the lengths you went. In my review I discussed some of these things and I think the filmmakers missed some key opportunities with this movie. So many good actors mostly wasted with generic material.
Still better than trolls.
better than polar shit aka (Norm of The North )
Yup
God I hated the pigeon so much.
CocoaClo иєκο SAME FUCKING HIGH CHARACTER
LIKE ON DRUGS
I absolutely hated this movie
I called the pigeon Donald Trump Bird.
Just came back from hearing him say "Really, Fox?", and now it's "Really, Warner bros.?"
Sadly, it doesn't have the same ring to it.
Undergrounder Underground what's next, really, Disney?
I haven't seen this anime yet. But let's look at these characters on the cover here. This review I was waiting for you to rant on the pigeon now I'm happy
This movie was SUPER CUTE! Like the cutest movie I have ever seen in my life! & the ending had be balling so hard!
I agree with you I cried at the ending😭
I Hate To Say This But I Actually Like This Movie
Nasir Pittman thats ok, I liked too, Tony even said says if you have a different opinion that's ok
Nasir Pittman Same. While there were flaws, I still enjoyed it.
me too
I love Storks, and I don’t care what you think, it was awesome.
Heck Yeah I agree with you
Yeah, I understand your opinion, but sadly, it was a good film, just like my most memorable thing in the world. "Looney Tunes"! :D It been decades that I absolutely love this show for a very long time.

...YOU FUCKED UP! lmao same XDDD
YOU DONE FUCKED IT UP!!!! XD
Lady: OMG the stork!.... Where's my baby?
Stork: sweaty, you and me are gonna make the baby. ;)
***** Family Guy. ;)
when family guy was entertaining.
anton riley-burton Yup. -_-

Saru245 hell yeah pets < storks
actually you're part of the majority. I'm in the minority. but I can respect that you like this film buddy :)
Nothing really against you, it just caught me by surprised I didn't know what to think lol
this is what I was expecting from critics with this movie
Choose your poison: Son of a mask or North of the North
I would rather choose actual poison
If you thought this movie's trailer was cringey, I invite you to watch the trailer for Sing and Trolls, both possessing soul-crushingly cringeworthy awful trailers.
*generic
And yeah, Sing trailers had me thinking, "Does anyone expect ingenuity from this?" And whatever I saw for Trolls, I already forgot.
I saw the Sing trailer yesterday and... yeah, I don't expect anything good to come out of this.
Friendly reminder that outside of Pixar, animation studios almost always have different creative staff and saying that this is a "Follow up to the Lego movie" is like saying Alice Through the Looking Glass is a follow up to The Jungle Book because HEY they're both Disney.

Well guess what? I actually liked it, therefore your opinion is invalid, so HA!
Just kidding, move along.
Can you sell copies of the cliche handbook?
Personally, I enjoyed the movie 💕 But I totally respect your opinion, because the film does have some SERIOUS flaws.
This opinion was unexpected, as I've been hearing a lot of really credible people praising this film :/
And that's probably a good thing.
I'll never get tired of your rants xD they are the best, so sad you had to suffer through this though
Haha it happens
***** OMG senpai noticed me! :D
Who cares if they made this after The Lego Movie? It was still a fine movie on it's own(at least to me). It's fine if you dislike it though, but I found it hilarious.
When I saw the trailer of that movie, I never intended to see it. They need to make another r-rated animated movie.
Yeah storks wasn’t my cup of tea either
What if there was a spinoff movie of the Wolves?
I hate the pigeon
I think the reason why some people don't like this film is because they were expecting this animation studio from Warner Bros to make the next LEGO movie. ***** True, but this movie had a lot expectations cause of the LEGO movie though.
as would ANY film that follows up something fantastic. You don't think there wasn't any expectations for the follow ups to Toy Story or Shrek or even Descipable Me? Of course there were. It's inevitable buddy. It all just depends on the person watching and whether or not it lived up to their expectation.
***** That's right. Everyone has their own expectations.
+E1ite Yoshi I kinda agree with you on that. Eh, never was expecting anything from this, so when I went in, I had fun but it wasn't anything special
Mediawatcher movie was funny I admit
i knew this movie would be pure shit
Aids Man I agree
that should be his intro every time he does a bad movie
Oh, my god. For the 2nd time this year, you are the only TH-cam critic I could find who did not like an animated movie. I respect your opinion, but trust me, BCG. There is another animated movie that recently came out that is even worse. It's called The Wild Life.
Are you leaving out Norm of the North on purpose or something??
No, I mean really recent. This movie came out, I think a couple weeks ago.
Have you seen Finding Dory?
I would love to know what you thought of it. I loved it.
Reny Rex He already has
I personally like Storks you can choose to not like it.
I actually liked that movie ♡
I thought the movie was hilarious! Just searching for reviews about it and found your vid. Your rant is just as hilarious! Haha. I agree with your point... Why need storks if you can have babies on your own :P VERY LARGE PLOT HOLE
Some couples are infertile. and some couples are of the same-sex lol
It was between either this movie or Kubo at the movies today, I think I picked the right choice.
it was okay. I thought that pigeon was annoying also.
funny and informative, I'm happy I found the this channel, great work
Well there could be worse, cough cough Minions (2015)
Okay, you're right of some points but it's not the worst animated movie of 2016 and It was nothing short but mediocre at best.
Oh I'm actually surprised.
I really enjoyed the movie and I thought you would too lmao-
Oh well.
And this came from the studio that made the Lego movie
Shrek the Third is the most dissapointing animated film I've ever seen
You know what I just realized, remember at beginning of the film where Tulip was building those jetpacks for those flightless birds and do you remember at the end of the wolf chase scene, the wolves tried to transform into a plane, but it failed!! BGC PLEASE MAKE A VIDEO ABOUT THE BGC CLITCHE HANDBOOK I WANNA KNOW ALL THE CLITCHES THERE IS
yes
one day :)
One day
I loved the movie. I thought ir was adorable.
What did you think of the short before the movie, The Master?
Richie Osborn
In his Let's Watch Something of The Lego Movie, he said that The Master was hilarious. It was definitely his favorite part of watching Storks in the theater.
I want a gif of Tony touching his face saying hmmmm that hilarious
I need a gif of 5:17-5:39, LOL!!
+Progrockdude LOL RIGHT
Storks and Angry Birds are examples of good kids movies, with good humor Unlike Ice Age 4... UGH! I found that movie offensive to child humor
Oh boy I can't wait for when BCG reviews Re:Zero (expects a long rant about episode 18).
But emilia is best girl ;-)
I hate that stupid workaholic parent cliche. Because God forbid a parent would want to work hard to provide for their family
My mom doesnt :/
Megan Watson true. It's kinda hypocritical to work so much and barely provide for your family.
Its in norm of the north too
+Megan Watson Same here. I'm kinda getting tired of the "workaholic parents" cliche.
Tulip's backstory where she wants to see her family copied Finding Dory.
The one thing I asked myself when I first saw this film's poster was: "Oh god how many innuendos are gonna be in this?"
Really FOX?!
Really Warner Bros.?!
Part 2! GODDAMN IT!!
AlbertoHerrera2000 he actually said really fox two times
The Vagabond I was just making a reference to his Ice Age: Collision Course rant.
AlbertoHerrera2000 I know, just Saying :)

I never expected you to rant on this movie.
I don’t think anyone did.
Ugh, Disney got the myth of Storks right in Dumbo and executed it much better! I don't think I want to see this simply due to how wrong this mythos is!
demolition day folks get ready😆 because it's BCG rant😈 🙉all over again hell yeah!!😮😛

this was like-- 3 years ago, but being the internet-- i actually enjoyed this movie and the boss baby movie, the character designs were pretty appealing and they both get their message across! i didnt want to watch boss baby at first by the back lash-- but watching it for myself-- it made me tear up a bit. idk, i guess its kind of cool to step away from the crowd and think for yourself :')
i'm surprised you loathed this movie
me too.... and heartbroken
Michael Argota no one said he's losing credibility
I guess I was a little mad when I posted that comment after seeing comments of people doubting and questioning Tony, for simply not liking this film. Sorry If my comment came off as ignorant.
im gunna do bird hunting lol :3
UH OH
SPAGHETTI-Os
This is a Monsters Inc ripoff.
And ice age
Why u so MAD Bro? I'd liked this movie
Did you do a Soul Eater review?? If not please do one! I want to see your thoughts :)
I actually want to admit that I REALLY enjoyed and liked Storks! My Mom and I both actually saw the Opening Day and I even LOVED the awesome beautiful colorful animation AND the good voice acting as well! :)
Aman Grewal Storks is definitely awesome though. This guy sounds a bit like a self entitled cry baby honestly.
5:18-5:39
This movie is like the Jaguars after three games this season. LOL
I have to disagree with you, I just saw this movie yesterday and I've absolutely adore it, definitely one of the funniest movies I've seen this year, but people can have opinions.
SuperKitaroShinX I agree but things like the parents was bad.
REALLY WARNER BROS?!?!
I like your enthusiasm!
Sex doesn't exist in the Storks world? Then how would people enjoy their own sexual pleasure? Do people in the universe know about masturbation? Do homosexuals exist in this universe? We need answers Warner Brothers! We need it!
Actually, It does exist :3 There was a throw away line that said something like "There are other ways to get babies," or something like that.
DerpyQwerty might I missed that.
