My answer is yes , but in the form of national security act ,if anyone found guilty then it should be taken as a traitor which punishment must be huge.
OSA must be there. It should be designed in such a way so that the violation of protection for nation from foreign threats gets penalized. RTI and OSA together makes confusion to act. But yes if we define it in some better way and clearly, it will come as a great gift to democracy.
OSA bilkul jaruri hai sir Nahi to koi bhi democracy or RTI k naam pur kuch bhi karega Iska example bahut baar dekhne ko milta hai Or iska ek solution ye ho sakta hai ki Kuch amendment kia jaye OSA act me Thoda or clear kia jaya act ko Jai Hind Jai Bharat
I think so, OSA need amendment on what 'Secrets' actually mean because some people are actually traitor in our country and they should be prosecuted by law and Govt should not misuse this law at all . So all, National Security Law must be Comprehended and Codify Properly .
As "peace comes with power" and "discipline comes with strict but corrective measures" the OSA proves to be worthy even in a democracy which professes 'world peace and tranquility' as security can enable social and all other well being in a nation. Moreover there are provisions of just taking the accused into remand room, on allegations, which is for any small crime too. Thought to draconian aspects of the act, needs a specialist review and modifications as well to keep the democratic spirit alive.
Mujhe lagta hai OSA current time ke liye hona chahiye but RTI ke jariye jankaari kuchh samay baad ho sake to 3-4 saal baad jaari kiya jana chahiye taaki secrecy bhi maintain rahe aur janta tak puri jankaari bhi pahuche , chahe bhale hi thodi der se ho.
Definition of secret is necessary regarding national security but in the name of democracy and RTI, decoments related to national security cannot be disclosed publicly... balance is an age old theory which always remain fruitful...
Everything is ethical and moral unless a bullet passes thorough skull or a blast kills innocent. National security is never a issue to be discussed and never to be judge by people who live in cozy world.
OSA would do wonders, but certain things has to change under that, Bcz there has to be something like OSA to stop those whose intentions are not good. Just like in Madhuri Gupta's case.
OSA gives Gov. so many powers and so little accountability, I am strictly against any espionage, spying activity being done by the citizens who have lived their whole lives in this country. But at the same time, we can not hold any person guilty until unless proven so.
Now a days except Defense & sensitive technical R&D related documents the extent of OSA is needless & it must me merged with NSA with some modification, otherwise it may be misused every time.
I think every country needs a secrecy act so that the country can punish the culprits who are giving our enemy an advantage over us but it must be defence related matters not political or diplomatic ones. Like if some is inclined towards a country but did gave any defence related information, so this people must be keep out from this law. And about ITR, I think we are democracy and we must have the right of knowing everything what is happening in our country. But there comes the defence related information. So I think common people must be keep out from the reach of such information even if necessary to the other elected mambers of the parliament for a specific time, because it's rule that the more person have the less secret it is. So that the boundary must be drawn or a middle path be made.
Even Socrates disliked democracy. If people's rights are given more importance, it can be misused much quickly. As a citizen, I think we all know upto what level we can enjoy RTI. But that's the point, we don't know how others will. If our country can have emergency clauses for any external threats, it doesn't mean that we have to wait for an external threat. Precaution is always better than cure. But ofcourse, the government must have accurate evidence to prove an infidelity if caught under OSA. Having said that, it makes sense to have such a law.
Sir I think OSA is not a problem but imposing these on any innocent is a big concern for the right to speech and express and lastly sir govt must definite what are the OSA in exact Meaning.
Thank you sir for providing this video, OSA is necessary only for those information which are very sensitive and become harmful for nation's security if information published by RTI. But need to correction in OSA of 1923 and need to bring amendment in it by our parliament. Need to clarity in amending new rule so all loopholes bypass and no clashes happen between RTI and OSA again.
Yes it should be there but not as a separate act and should be included in NSA as highly recommended for national security and cannot be distributed in plate to anyone but it should be defined
In a democracy everything should be transparent. But as per the sensitive information concern ... Government should define what can be call as "secret" and what not. Otherwise it'll be another tool to suppress the voice of the people which basically contradictory to a healthy democracy.
Of course, OSA should be there but it should strictly be related to National Security only. But there should be a transparent mechanism to differentiate between Indian citizen's basic concerns and national security matters.
sir, agar aise kam honge ki koi border ki deployment ek war time enemy country ko bata raha hai kuch paison ke liye to OSA must stay or any other law should be there.
RTI act give transparency. But the main objective (my opinion) to have the trust of people and simultaneously we also need to pretect our important information as it is the question of our intrigity. Hence I think both must exist but with more clear definition.
OSA is required but it should be merged with NSA.. coz activities like sergical strikes the correspondence we can not disclose.. again like RTI it should be made crystal clear that when it comes to safety and security to our country it should not be compromised..
Osa must lie in democratic country but simultaneously a strong independent institutions must exist to counter check the OSA.. so that a balance can be formed... Jai hind
RTI is more important than official secret act but in some scenario OSA is very need to create deterence in regarding national security. For example defense etc
किसी भी sensetive information को दूसरे देश को देना तो गलत ही है, इसके लिए 1 law तो होनी चाहिए, As like defence information, economical information, R& D information..... RTI का मतलब ये नहीं है कि किसी भी information को आप निकालकर, किसी दूसरे देश को भेज दे...
yes secrecy law is also much needed in democracy because some domains of governance in democracy come under the umbrellas of secrecy . these domains should remain in secrets , its better as a country and for the society. but i must say a detail scrutiny is required in secrecy act. there should be a detailed definition of secret domains. except these domains all other domains come under RTI.
laws like osa must sustain or maybe formulated in a better way so as our national security doesnt compromise. as a citizen i dont need to know all the strategic decisions as they might act against the country int the favour or our enemies..
RTI applies to government information only .So if there is complete privatisation of most of the government institutions and government owned companies then RTI will be preserved limiting OSA to military purpose only
There should be a balance as to how much information can be provided to the citizen of the country. OSA must exist with RTI. GOVERNMENT CAN'T SHARE EACH AND EVERY INFORMATION bcoz when they share information they don't share with citizens but information is also gets available to our rivals and enemy countries.
Even to discuss such things is stupid, this wannabeness to become a shining democracy is nonsensical and becomes too much sometimes. OSA is definitely required.
Though india is a democratic country OSA should be out of the RTI act as per national security is concern. Making everything in public can harm the sovereignty and integrity of the country. Oath of secrecy is administered to the Prime Minister also including council of Ministers. If the matter is of national security the matter should be out of RTI Act 2005. But government need to rationalize the law and make it much clear.
If government do not want to make any changes in it's laws , so why they are spending money on making these committees .. is it not the wastage of money that can be use for another purposes !!
at first glance it seems to be not for a democracy, but if i think since their are things which are not in public domain, i prefer not say anthing, also i dont see any arrests related to political arrests as their were none in video, so it seems ok
according to me there should be OSA because if everything will be transparent then other the enemies will be sitting at our door with gun and we will be in the hands of chin-chau (china) and if law gives freedom to journalism then they have to work for people of there country not for the one who is throwing money and you start barking for him whether it is enemy or friend
We don't need this law, we are democracy, we can share our nuclear bomb's blue print too, and military deployment information on Ladakh side, i condemn this act

RTI and OSA together makes confusion to act. But yes if we define it in some better way and clearly, it will come as a great gift to democracy.
Yes, for the sake of Indian democracy national security is priority
Yes OSA is still needed in country. We can't take any chance with security of nation.
OSA should define word "secret" in holistic way. OSA should be continue ...
OSA bilkul jaruri hai sir
Nahi to koi bhi democracy or RTI k naam pur kuch bhi karega
Iska example bahut baar dekhne ko milta hai

Sir from my point of view it should not be totally removed but some restrictions should be there.
Also the word "secrect" should be specified.
In a world full of barkh dutt and rajdeep sardesai we definitely need this law
OSA should be completely described "what comes under it" and it should not be removed.
OSA should be there just if it interfears with nation security, rather than this OSA must not include any failures of government.
Namaste Anirudh sir...🙏🙏
Thank You, Sir for such an interesting lecture... ♥ from patna !
We can do like this 🙏🏻🤍💙
BEST ONLINE TEACHING FACULTY.. THANKYOU TEACHERS.
OSA would do wonders, but certain things has to change under that, Bcz there has to be something like OSA to stop those whose intentions are not good. Just like in Madhuri Gupta's case.
OSA should compatible with RTI , we can not give absolute right over national security
I like Aniruddh sir lectures, informative and up to the point whereas Sidhant sir lecture are pure bakwas.
OSA gives Gov. so many powers and so little accountability, I am strictly against any espionage, spying activity being done by the citizens who have lived their whole lives in this country. But at the same time, we can not hold any person guilty until unless proven so.
Yes OSA is very important for our nation security ❤️👍🥰😍

Of course, OSA should be there but it should strictly be related to National Security only. But there should be a transparent mechanism to differentiate between Indian citizen's basic concerns and national security matters.

Very informative channel
Yes it is required....
OSA rhna chaiye.....to keep secrecy of our country else corrupts don't hesitates to provide confidential information to enemies.
RTI act give transparency. But the main objective (my opinion) to have the trust of people and simultaneously we also need to pretect our important information as it is the question of our intrigity.

FAN OF study iq😘

Some how it is important but with some transparancy as it can also be missuse .
Brilliant lecture 👏
Osa must lie in democratic

OSA ko rhna chahiye
Please make a video on papulation control bill
laws like osa must sustain or maybe formulated in a better way so as our national security doesnt compromise. as a citizen i dont need to know all the strategic decisions as they might act against the country int the favour or our enemies..
RTI applies to government information only .So if there is complete privatisation of most of the government institutions and government owned companies then RTI will be preserved limiting OSA to military purpose only
Mahipal Singh Rathore sir k vedio Q nhi aa rhi please btaye
Yes excit karna chahiye
I think important with some limitations
There should be a balance as to how much information can be provided to the citizen of the country. OSA must exist with RTI.
GOVERNMENT CAN'T SHARE EACH AND EVERY INFORMATION bcoz when they share information they don't share with citizens but information is also gets available to our rivals and enemy countries.
Sir, once you read out any paragraph in English, pls explain in Hindi too
OSA is very important as
to safeguard our Nation
Yes obviously there should be OSA
Even to discuss such things is stupid, this wannabeness to become a shining democracy is nonsensical and becomes too much sometimes. OSA is definitely required.
KOI bhi low or person Desh se bada nahi hota hai
Vishnugupt CHANAKYA
OSA hi nahi OSA ke tarah sabi law important hai
Amendment is required and govt what comes in osa which is not a public interest
OSA is require. Without that indias defence will be without borders...
Though india is a democratic country OSA should be out of the RTI act as per national security is concern. Making everything in public can harm the sovereignty and integrity of the country. If you need security then you need osa
Yes this low is important
U r ex dsp .wow
Yess
yes OSA is necessary because we have people who chants pakistan jindabad in our own country
This is a loophole of democracy
RTI
Osa needed
at first glance it seems to be not for a democracy, but if i think since their are things which are not in public domain, i prefer not say anthing, also i dont see any arrests related to political arrests as their were none in video, so it seems ok
Pm care comes under OSA 😂
Haan sir hona chahiye ! Ye ghar ke bhedhi hi lanka dhate he ! Pesa insan ko andha bana deta he
OSA is necessary
Ye kala kanoon hai,
Haaa bilkul OSA hona hi chahiye nhi to bikau reporters india ki pehchan hai 😂😂😂😂
👍👍
No
The govt is tring to divert the current situation nd leadng twards a fiasco..
RTI has to be empowered. There is no place for OSA in a democracy.
according to me there should be OSA because if everything will be transparent then other the enemies will be sitting at our door with gun and we will be in the hands of chin-chau (china) and if law gives freedom to journalism then they have to work for people of there country not for the one who is throwing money and you start barking for him whether it is enemy or friend
We don't need this law, we are democracy, we can share our nuclear bomb's blue print too, and military deployment information on Ladakh side, i condemn this act
OSA not need in our democracy.
OSA should be repealed.
