I imagine an alternate start to the Nomad intro where the drive to meet Jackie is down a longer highway, this is playing on the radio, and we get a "CD Projekt Red presents..." along with some of the actors/actresses names on screen. I think it would've gave a real cinematic feel while remaining dynamic and get us (more) excited for what's to come.
You could bend it to fit all the life paths. Nomad - your out in the wastelands dirt biking/ buggying when you get a job to protect a high value vehicle driving in from the outlands into the city perused by a bunch of gang bangers. You and your small family/tribe lads rev up the engines and join in on the pursuit and help clear off the gangers. This song could be blaring in between the off road driving and car battle. At the end you find the driver to be some rando named Jackie who was the hired driver of (insert important nomad family/leader). Street Kid - almost slightly similar but on the other end of a pursuit. Instead of forcing one off, your the guy getting pursued. You hijack some big Arasaka corps car down in there garage and an assistant net runner named T helps you out by downing security and opening the underground garage doors. The song would start blaring up as you rev the speed counter and release the hand break shooting you out into the streets with maybe some corpo security and turrets firing away at you as you drift around the corner away from them only to have a few persue on bikes/in cars or maybe (like David) your almost immediately set upon by Tyger Claws, having to drift and skid your way through the streets while dodging Claw barricades/gangers laying down the hate before running into friendly territory. At the end you’d meet up with T and share a drink (slightly changing up your starting “friend” from Jackie but still putting you in a similar position to meet them) Corpo - you know how you go to get Jackie and everything just fails. Well maybe not have that. You get sent out and you pull together a hit squad of Corpo troopers. Taking an AV to the site you’d be outside the main doors, music pumping up as you slap down the charging handles and bust through the door into a full on firefight with rival interest group in Arisaka. However soon you’d have a three way fight on your hands as proper Arisaka gunboys (and maybe smasher himself) show up to put peace to the internal rivalry through force. You’d end up fighting your way out but being branded a renegade or exile meaning your contract is bust and your forced to go merc. Hell could even add more lifestyles suing this: NCPD - just an everyday day on the job with you getting into a massive street fire fight with a bunch of gangbangers with this music playing. Other cops around you are throwing their weight in and “BOOM” just as your winning. Someone goes Cyberpsycho and starts tearing their way through everyone. You end up fighting this cyberpscho and winning just as MaxTec arrives. Could have it your job goes under due to underfunding or corruption in the NCPD (or your own corruption) and pushes you towards Dex as a permanent fixer.

Nomad V and Panam load into a heavily modified Type-66, punch the controls to life as the Aldecaldos behind them rev their engines to life. Panam flicks around the radio stations until she settles on Morro Rock, and this erupts through the speakers as they peel out of the camp, leading the family like Hounds to the gates of Hell. TIME TO LEARN
Absolute banger. Also didn't know a gurney can have these amounts of grip...
absolute headbanger this one
Morro Rock Radio is the superior ♡
I dig it along with ritual fm.
I just went from Japan in 1988 to Night City in 2077
Since the "The Diner" cinematic, I wanted to listen to this song in its entirety
🎶I don't wanna step on a lego!🎶
Well found my new gym song
Fun fact, the name of the song is also the name for the combat rulebook for the tabletop "cyberpunk 2013"
I can’t understand a word he’s saying but this goes so hard
bruh I got the lyrics up and I'm still having a hard time hahaha
Not understanding a word makes it slap a lot harder ngl
I wanna see this at a live concert , they should put out a cp2077 live concert
Really glad I found this playlist. Thanks for the work!
The Song of Night City
Funny. The song is named after one of the chapters of the CP2020 core rule book.
It's named after what the combat system is called for all the Cyberpunk tabletop rpgs.
Same for Red's . Also a lot of other song names are chapters from Red's corebook. Chippin'in , Black Dog, Never Fade Away..
@@hakuanquietpaws2307 those are actually named for songs from Silverhand’s band, Samurai. It’s just the book chapters are *also* named for the songs.
EDIT: Pretty sure Chippin’ In and Never Fade Away have been around in the lore since the game’s first edition (set in 2013).

when lucy is your uber and takes you for a joyride
Still listening to this all these years later.
I would play this in any drum & bass set. Floorfiller!!!
Why on earth would you be playing post-hardcore in a dnb set? I can see it now, the candy ravers would love it. You can follow it up with I Was A Teenage Werewolf by The Cramps to really spice things up for the Moving Shadow label dnb oldheads, and then Bela Lugosis Dead! That'll make those bodies move. And if you haven't been murdered at this point for being completely and utterly unable to read a crowd by a bunch of deranged speedfreaks in Zardonic masks or Dance With The Dead cultists you can end things with a bang by playing Spiritwalker by The Cult.
Wow, sounds awesome. I know if I went to a club for a night of dnb, big bass, jungle, maybe a little goa trance to spice shit up and someone started rubbing a guitar neck between their asscheeks and doing a bad impression of At The Drive-In circa Relationship of Command I'd be head over heels. What a treat, I'd say
The lyrics in this are really hard to follow, damn it's hot.
Nomad V and Panam load into a heavily modified Type-66, punch the controls to life as the Aldecaldos behind them rev their engines to life. This is just another job for them, but for V and Panam, each job is this thrilling, even before it’s begun. Panam flicks around the radio stations until she settles on Morro Rock, and this erupts through the speakers as they peel out of the camp, leading the family like Hounds to the gates of Hell.
A nomad brand of Edgerunning, to be sure, but one all too recognizable in Night City
The opening reminds me a lot of Shadowrun (especially the SNES game).
What genre of music would you call this? Whatever it is, I need a whole playlist of songs like this
punk rock
Post-hardcore. Listen to the Relationship of Command album by At The Drive-In, Unsane's Occupational Hazard album, Glassjaw, etc.
Punk…hardcore….good
@@orbitalbutt6757 Do you have more?

FIREEEEEEEEEEEE
This belongs in a Burnout game.
Thank you Edgerunners
Pour ceux qui l'ignoreraient (et ne maîtriseraient pas assez l'anglais): La Fusillade du Vendredi Soir ou le nom du système de combat dans Cyberpunk JDR.
I need this song for my driving lessons
This song makes me want to go HAM on some netrunners 😤🤘
“But I don’t know how to drive!”
“Time to learn.”
