Nice to see you posting again Michael, I wish the weather was actually like that now. Your stories and experience have influenced a few of my choices, I had a Leaf for a couple years and it was a great city car! Finally got a new Model 3, ready for road trips! Ordered a CCS adapter from Tesla a few days ago and it's alreayd shipped, you have to put in your vin to ensure compatibility or purchase the upgrade at the same time which I'm sure has a much longer wait.
That’s awesome Robin, congrats. I’d like to get the retrofit as well. It seems CCS is becoming the go to standard. Our Chademo adapter has been great, and I’m a big fan of having as many charging options available to you as possible. Not as Kuch of an issue now, but until we have as many charging points as gas stations it’s a good idea.
Nice to see the X out doing some towing again, if you were able to stop at the Supercharger and do the same charge, what would the charge rate have been? I always see you talking about 100 KW plus. So by having to use the Chademo the charge took longer? Glad to see your videos again, have missed you online and seeing what has happened to you over the past several months. Take care and look forward to more updates.
For the X we usually start out around 90-120KW until the battery is around 50%. Then is drops to 60-80KW until 80% and then it’s down with chase no speeds. If the battery is cold it’s slower.
Multi-tasking while charging! Just one great ability of having an EV!

Unless you have an early Model S/X, then you'll need the CCS adapter retrofit kit installed.
@@BryceCampbell I have a Feb 2023 Model 3, it will work.

Hello Mike. Long time!
Yes it’s been a while. We’re still living the dream!
