Loved this ! As an old Tuck ski patroller it was darn nice to see Brad Ray whom I worked with a few times. Way back in the late '60's, early '70's I shared that wholesome experience with many friends, many who now have faded into the twilight zone! How I miss those days and Tucks!!

The last time I skied Tucks, has to be 20+ years ago, a young Canadian guy was there solo, he had kayaks and bikes strapped to his car and everything he owned in the back seat. He asked if he could tag along with my buddy and me. We hiked up the lip, and he stayed right and got into the rocks on the headwall and did a total starfish most of the way down the bowl. Fortunately, he was fine. I was really thinking we were taking turns hiking him out in a basket. In the end, just a good story to share. Thanks for posting this.

Lunch Rocks is where I was hit by falling ice Memorial Day 1980 and needed 6 stitches.

Lots of old stock photos when the snow was over 50ft deep on the headwall which made much less steep. Today it's almost an ice covered cliff and an exposure rating way above being safe for 99% of most skiers. Only a fool would climb it without crampons and an ice axe!

Yeah as a snowboarder out west who has been to the Northeast, I know for a fact that terrain is nothing to play with. If you don't know, don't speak on it!!
