I am a bit sad Bulbmin didn't make it into the game along with the puffmin, but seeing all these Pikmin 1 and 2 enemies together is such an amazing sight. What a time to be a pikmin fan.
It would be nice if this game had DLC. Then they could bring back a lot of Pikmin 3 bosses and add Hey! Pikmin enemies, and who knows? Maybe they could include Puffmin and Bulbmin as well. They could also add an Ultra-Spicy difficulty setting for it as well as a classic Pikmin add-on for the menu screen At this point, not making DLC for Pikmin 4 would be a stupid idea since it's the number one Nintendo Switch game right now
They made DLC for Pikmin 3 on Wii U when Nintendo was just getting started with DLC. With almost every big Nintendo release getting DLC now, Pikmin 4 is definitely getting some stuff.

I like how the creeping crysantum notes talks about bulmin. Same with the 2 bloysters mentioning the raging bloyster. And how the armored can beetle is not the horned cannon beetle in its info.
My favorite bosses are definitely the Groovy Long Legs and the Ancient Sirehound. The Groovy Long Legs has so much personality! Love how it stomps to the beat and uses its mist to have the Pikmin dance with it. The Ancient Sirehound is just plan fun! It’s so fast paced and exhilarating! How it uses the different elements was so cool! It’s easily my favorite boss of the franchise! Not to mention that it’s actually kinda adorable.

However I am sad that Puffmin didnt make a return. Also Whiskerpiller, Doodlebug, and I had been hoping for a Muddy Blowhog since I created one in my head back in middle school. Basically it's an orange skinned Blowhog with a brown lip and sprays goopy mud that hinders movement speed and deals a little damage but it's mainly used to make terrain more difficult. Edit: Holy crap Doodlebug made it yes! Also they brought back Creeping Chrysanthemum and a Mushroom variant but I miss the design of the old one. And the Hermitcrabs?!!! Yes
@@radiantberserker8857Pikmin 3 was in development hell for literally a decade as it was tossed between systems, it seems that a lot of the game ended up kinda rushed because they needed it as a launch title for the wii U. Although the lack of pikmin 2 enemies is probably more due to the very different design principles that 3 use’s compared to 2 and it’s why i’m not really surprised that 4 doesn’t share any bosses with 3 due to just how different they would be compared to the rest of the game
So the big version explain the big enemies from hey Pikmin, plus they give us the Pikmin 2 Emperor Bulblax and a better version as well (closer to Pikmin 1 final boss).

Man, they make a giant ice blow hog, but not a giant watery blow hog? not to mention this was the perfect time to add a poison blow hog due to the new toxstool? Mannnnn.
I think its pretty alright. Many people are new to this franchise and they combined the enemies of Pikmin 1-3 pretty well. 125 enemies are quite a lot tho. :)
The only thing I don't like is that they make the Horned Cannon Beetle a new enemy, confirming us that the Armored Cannon Beetle did NOT return, when it clearly is the same boss we all knew and loved from Pikmin 1!!
I actually like that. Theres other invasive species in real life. The asian lady beetle looks like our native ladybug and takes his place. He does not look exactly the same, cause he has more spots. Same with the horned canon beetle, which looks the same but with 2 horns next to his mouth. They explain it in the piklopedia and I think its amazing.

@@maybefoxtart sure I get that, but they only showed 8 enemies, some of which being shown in footage in trailers, so you can't really blame them cuz they have to make a thumbnail that attracts viewers, I'd be more glad they didn't put the final boss in the thumbnail like most others would

I love the Piklopedia, but I feel like it's lost some of the personality and charm it had in Pikmin 2. The UI is more basic and generic, which is something I generally noticed about a lot of this game's presentation. The music, while some people may like it, isn't anything to write home about and isn't on the same level as "Flora and Fauna" from Pikmin 2. Still, though, it is nice to read up on all of the creatures and treasures we've come across.
@@kaiserwave5977 well yeah, I think one of the reasons it comes down to for me is the larger version of some enemies just being up scaled rather than changed slightly along with when looking at the bosses like the ice moth it really doesn't give off the same impact as past bosses did to me, maybe im spoiled by the boss set pieces in pikmin 3 idk

The biodiversity of Pikmin games is what drives me to them.
A lot of enemies from Pikmin 1 and 2 are making a big comeback.

I love how the game brought back a ton of enemies from the first two games after Pikmin 3 severely and for some reason cut out a lot of them.
It had a lot of unused assets and an entire unused area
