Hey Ken, I thought that the community should hear this, because it's a sad day for our Sport. Last Friday my grandpa Willy Oesterle passed away at the age of 92. He was not only a pioneer of Motocross, being a maico works rider in the 50s. But he also built a 500cc two-stroke bike out of two maico 250s, with which he won the Grand Prix in Brühl in I think 1959 or 60. So he was both the first man to race a 500 two stroke in Motocross and win a Grand Prix on one... To me he was just a great grandpa, I miss him a lot
This was my first real motorcycle after a couple scooters. I explored my entire county in 2 years, every dirt road, 40,000 miles in 2 years. Ive been waiting for this bike video.
Really cool to see you found one of these, not only still kicking but in good condition! You really never see these anymore and heck, I'd bet most people today never knew they existed, or have sinply forgotten they did! Sweet bike fellas!
🐝🏁 Your channel is a museum of motorcycle. It's showcases old and new motorcycles! Beautiful motorcycle from around the world i enjoy watching your videos 👍 😎
I like the 86 xr 350 with the single carb of course it's the dirt version, not sure if Honda did a DS of that year as the dirt only was a one or two year superbike , then disappeared along with it's excellent upgrades. Keep it up brother from another mother lol! We are three years apart, im continually amazed at the bikes yall drag out of the dumpster bringing new life! Thank you again i really appreciate it!
Man I gotta admit you come up with some real gems, I mean you find some survivors I would never guess still exist, these bikes are usually ridden into the ground within 5 years it seemed lol..I always have a spot for 80's dirt bikes, it's prolly my age which is 53...very cool SR...very cool ..
I had the 1985 XR350 and the 1985 XR200 as a kid. I put 283 miles in one day on the 350 in baja when I was 15. Looped from Mikes Sky Ranch down towards El Rosario, then across the peninsula to Puerecitos and back to Mikes through San Felipe. That bike did it all, even have a nice pic of me launching it a Glamis. My back still hurts from that landing.
Watched this vid of this old (minted out of its tree man)Honda again as Big Ken flicking the front up was outstanding....Bloody amazing control of an old 4 stroke 😮
My 81 xl500 had only 3500 miles when i got it. Not ridden since 2007 until 2019 and looked like it's age with some pin holes in the tank, this 350 looks lush.
Very nice looking enduro that I would love to have. The only thing different I would do with it is put gold rims on it, along with the blue old school seat.
I had the exact same year in 1987 great bike met a beautiful girl at the beach that I always liked Jen O’Connell she wanted to go for a ride on that XL 350 so I obliged great times! I took my motorcycle license teat on it also.
Even though my first Honda was a ‘76 Elsinore that was the coolest bike I ever had, especially for a 9 year old, ‘86 was Honda’s year to shine, IMO. I think I’ve owned every dirt bike, 3 wheeler and 4 wheeler Honda made in ‘86, and some of those are still untouchable.
Hey what score for my 1st responder PTSD. Lol cheaper than my horses .. at least for now 😂. I’m good now just reach out if you need help .. we as 👨🏻🚒🚑🚒🚔 all understand what it take a to be the ones ! Thanks Ken sr & crew for keeping it real 🇺🇸. God Bless 🙏🏼🇺🇸

Something special about a Dual Sport bike.

That's quite the story!
There's something beautiful about those single thumper trail bikes from the 80s They're so darn cool.
You can hear my 1986 XR250R coming from a mile away. Nothing like it.
Really cool to see you found one of these, not only still kicking but in good condition! You really never see these anymore and heck, I'd bet most people today never knew they existed, or have sinply forgotten they did!

I can only imagine those blinkers & mirrors were broken off by every high school kid riding this bike new in 1984.
1984.....same year the transformers came out
Seemed that year was a time when the entire world started to come alive..83 to 84 was a real transitional time in human history imo.
Sweet.
