I had a 89 with trinity stage 4 porting with a 44mm round slide carb running on methanol alcohol. There are a absolute beast... I know
I absolutely love the 89, it's great whenever Ken Jr's bike makes an appearance on the channel. Can't wait to see the dyno run. I've been following your progress with the machine over the years. I also have an 89 that's in fantastic condition, but not on this level. My bike has a sweet WP shock setup from a 92 model year, it originally belonged to a professional European rider (Gertjan van Doorn)
I had a WP shop on my 1986 back in 87 it was night and day better than the original suspension

When I was younger you brought me down to the garage to see the aluminum frame cr500 being put together and I got to hear the tz750 run another time. Such a great family you have. as if it really needed the extra 14 cc 😂... bone stock 500 already has plenty of power to rip the arms off the strongest rider when grabbing too much throttle.. I had a 90 and later a 91 cr500 I wish i had never sold them.... great bike and great memories.... thx for keeping 2 strokes alive.... love your channel!
Sik! Def wanna see more of that beauty. Off road monster. Also, would love to see that motor in a street chassis or supermoto modified. Can you imagine riding it on streets?! That's the reason I wanted to put a CR 500 in a modified RZ chassis when my 350 motor blew!

Had an 89 CR250 in 88 . Bike was a monster . I weighed about 120 at 16 years old . That bike takes me back .

As a Kaplan channel follower, I love watching the progress of THIS bike , as well as the company. I have owned a 98 cr500 for about 15 yrs . Videos don’t do justice, but his motor revs very quick for a 500!

What's the max cc for Mx use, as I was told the 1 I rode at 16 (30 years ago) was an 87 / 88 and was bored to 560cc!!? Or did he say 516cc🤷? It was too much compression for me to kick start so me, my girlfriend sat on the bike and my friend pushed, 2nd gear bump start lol and fast as hell.
But nowhere as sweet looking as JR's 👍👍

Jr. is highly blessed to have that beautiful CR. Got the best of everything on it. Runs like a striped ass ape! That is definitely my favorite graphics kit that I ever saw on Jr's bike. Jr is gonna clean up at the Wick on that bike. #kickingassandtakingnames

Hell yeah I had a 86 CR 500 at 12 years old. My uncle gave it to me because it was to fast for him. He would start it for me because I couldn’t start it. In a week I was riding wheelies down the street and had it wide open on straight roads
