    If you're going bald out there, feeling insecure, scared about your future prospects, scared about taking the dive and shaving it all off, I'm here to tell you to do it! You've nothing to lose friends. It was falling out and receding anyway. Be who you are, rock that buzz cut, and/or bald shaven head. You can spend a fortune trying to fight nature and DNA or your can accept yourself for who and what you are, and move forward. You are not less of a man for being bald. It's hard to lose the hair, it's like losing part of yourself, I know I felt the same. But please try to think of it as gaining something more: A true wisdom few know well. Think about it, and always ACCEPT YOU! You're worth it!

    Great tips! From a barber’s perspective, if the hair is longer or very dense on the sides and back, it is a good idea to reduce the length in stages using scissors on very long hair or guard attachments on medium to short hair. Professional clippers and trimmers are much stronger than house hold ones and especially beard trimmers. The goal is to find a length that the “0” will glide through without snagging or pulling the hair. Make sure the clippers are clean and oiled before starting. If they get uncomfortably warm, turn them off and let the blades and the motor cool down. Just some quick tips.
    Thank you for helping those in need of advice, you do it like a pro! Well done!

      I started just having it cut No.1 on the sides and No.2 on top, baby steps! The only problem is you have to get your hair cut more regularly. I'm looking to go the buzz cut soon, so I don't have to pay to have it cut anymore. I was comfortable with the short look within a day of doing it! Its really know big deal once you have done it.

    And does shaving with regular razor also remove the dead skincells which is better for scalp health?

  • @LuBre
    @LuBre 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    I went with a 6-7mm buzz cut. It works, although I feel like I am not myself. I can't watch me at the mirror, yet. I guess I need some time to adjust my eyes to my new image. The issue isn't the short/missing hair but the little "island" or "patch" that I've got above the forehead. It's like a small detached part of my scalp, I don't like it. I've always had it but having longer hair it wasn't that noticeable unless you looked from above. Now it's like "HEY, LOOK AT ME". Guess I should go for a 100%-bald cut...

    • @snakeindigo7085
      @snakeindigo7085 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I used the Remington Quickcut for a while because that wide crescent shaped really does make for a short duration buzz-cut. However, I went back to the Wahl Balding clippers because they definitely clip closer to the skin and time to perform a buzz-cut is almost the same (as the efficiency of your technique improves). I guess its another case of "Horses for courses" Justin...

    We bought the Remington so I could buzz cut the hubby during COVID. I have to say, I don't like it, and I'm looking for better clippers. The Remington is pulling and making it really difficult for me to get a good even cut on him. He needs de-bulking on the sides, too, and it's not great for that. Recommendations? Wahl? Andis? Hubs thinks I'm doing a good job and wants me to keep cutting it, but the pulling is making me nervous!

    Hey Harry, I have found a VERY effective DE razor! you still experimenting with shaving with a DE razor? I have also had trouble with shaving my head with one (I had the Merkur 34C) and it wouldn't shave close enough and found it painful, but I can't afford cartridge razors so I kept seeking, and I realised that you can get adjustable DE razors and that since my hair is super course and thick (I still have lot's of hair left) my original DE razor was simply not aggressive enough, so after lot's of research I bought myself the Merkur Futur, it's considered one of the best adjustable De razors on the market, had my first head shave with it today and it worked so much better! perhaps you also just need a more aggressive DE razor to get a smooth shave and you can stop buying the plastic cartridge razors, I think the Merkur Futur is seriously worth trying, I hope you read this!!

    My brain doesn’t work with a mirror that’s when it would turn out awful with skips and misses all over, I have to do it like a blind man with my eyes closed and all by feel. Your fingers can feel even slight variations in the lengths of hairs letting u know it needs another pass. And I shave it most of the time now which is even more critical you cover everything. Still , that said, it’s always nice to use the buddy system to make sure the back is clean.

    There are plenty of ways to prevent balding. If you don't care that's fine, but don't listen to anybody who just says "shave it and embrace it". People act like being bald is fine, well then why do they feel the need to grow a beard to compensate for it?

      How can something that naturally happens to people and does no physical harm to them not be fine? There's nothing innately wrong with hair loss. Hair loss is normal. The idea that hair loss is something to be ashamed of is a social construct. On the topic of the beard, why are you so concerned with what other people are doing? So what if they are compensating? They might just prefer to have a beard. How old are you? If you are over 25, you need to get a grip. Your comment screams that you are insecure about yourself.

      @@Jack-ns9sz Because him compensating goes against everything he says on the channel. If going bald is fine, why do so many men feel the need to grow a big beard to take the attention away from their head?

    Great videos and very informative, however your beard is very distracting. It looks messy and kind of like
    the Taliban. It kind of takes away from the narrative of what your videos are about. Distracting I guess.

      What should life just completely stop. It's funny tho when you go back 100 years that generation dealt with pandemics and two world wars and still got on with life. Leave the man alone.
