    Is meditation a scientific truth?
    Is meditation religious superstition?
How to know if meditation is real or not?
When you walk through the streets and alleys of Middle Eastern countries, you suddenly see people engrossed in reading prayers and worship upon hearing the call to prayer.
As you move towards the eastern part of the globe, in India, you see many people visiting temples with various religions and beliefs, conversing with their gods or their singular deity.
Again, if you head further east, you will see Buddhists engrossed in worship and spiritual practices at their temples and homes at various times of the day and night.
The situation in the western part of the world among Christians and Jews is not much different.
"Meditation," a term we have been hearing for years now, encompasses almost every form of spiritual exercise, contemplation, or worship.
Many opinions, especially from atheists, are raised in these areas, often considering these practices futile and stemming from human ignorance and folly. But is it really so? Do meditation, prayer, contemplation, and religious and spiritual practices have no benefit and merely waste the time of believers?
In this video, we examine this subject from a scientific perspective and try to arrive at logical and robust answers.
Meditation has been practiced since ancient times as a powerful exercise for nurturing inner peace, clearing the mind, and improving people's well-being.
Findings from ancient civilizations in the Indus Valley from about 3500 years ago indicate that spiritual exercises were performed daily. Additionally, meditation practices are mentioned in the Rigveda and other Hindu scriptures.
Buddhists, 3,000 years ago, learned meditation from Siddhartha, the prince who later became known as Buddha or the Enlightened One, and practiced various techniques for liberation, love, and spiritual comfort.
In Christianity, the prayers of St. John and St. Theresa of Avila are considered a form of ancient meditation in Christianity.
In Islam, Sufism is a branch that has shown famous and interesting meditations to the world. From prayer gatherings to Sufi dance, in which Sufis enter ecstatic states with music and singing.
However, according to mystics and spiritual masters, prayer is also considered a form of contemplation and meditation. The connection and similarity between prayer and yoga movements have led many people to ask, why meditation at all?
Why do religions, mysticisms, and spiritual beliefs engage in such practices to approach the divine? Is the goal merely to get closer to the divinity?
Extensive research has been done on meditation and its physical and mental effects on humans in recent years. With a simple search, you can find credible articles that have written about the benefits of contemplation and suggested it for all humans with any religious or spiritual belief. Perhaps you are curious enough about its benefits. We will examine them further:
    Stress Reduction
One of the most documented benefits of meditation is its ability to reduce stress. Research has shown that regular meditation practices reduce the production of stress hormones such as cortisol and lead to a calmer state of mind.
    Improved Concentration
In a world full of distractions, meditation serves as a refuge for strengthening our mental faculties. Researchers believe that meditation, through mind training, is an excellent exercise for focusing on the present moment.
    Emotional Regulation
Neuroscientists believe that meditation, by increasing awareness of our thoughts and emotions, cultivates emotional intelligence. This increase in self-awareness can lead to better regulation of our emotions and help individuals manage their reactions in challenging situations.
    Anxiety and Depression Management
Studies have shown that meditation can be an effective complement to conventional treatments for anxiety and depression. It promotes positive thinking, reduces symptoms, and increases emotional flexibility.

Of course meditation and prayers do have many psychological benefits but this does not prove any supernatural or spiritual entities. These so called spiritual phenomena are just the mental phenomena from the human mind....pure psychological aspects of the human mind.
