Swirl Furnace Stage 3

This is a high-temperature structural and insulation test of the core of the swirl furnace. Here we see it with it's middle cement+perlite "mesolayer" which serves to insulate the inner core layers' heat conduction. This is critical in order to insure the structural integrity of the outer concrete jacket. Ironically I ended up adding considerable amounts of perlite to the portland cement concrete mix in an attempt to thicken an accidentally over filled mixing bucket. For better or for worse, the outer jacket now has considerable perlite integrated into it.
