After coming to terms of buying a properly made kosher set of tefillin… the idea I used to say “oh I’ll just buy $189 dollar tefillin” oy… I realized it’s an insult… I mean I want to do the mitzvot properly I want to show my love for Hashem by going the extra mile.. for me… I want my future grandson to use my tefillin one day. Provided they are still kosher.
Rabbi, Would you be able to provide me direction on how to find Kosher Tefillin from a reliable Sofer that is certified in my area other then basing it on price? Your information is very informative on why not to purchase from eBay, Amazon, Judaica stores and gift shops online shops. If it helps, I live in Palm Beach County, Florida. Thank you Rabbi
Good video and great information. When putting up a mezuzah is it good to put it on full moon or the phases of the moon don’t have anything to do with it? Thanks
That italy story is all too common. Ive seen this same excuse in israel. I decided tl test the theory of dishonesty and i bought one, they guaranteed a kosher scroll. Lets say... every single mezuzah was a phito copy of a poorly done computer rendering.
Shalom rabbi, a fellow yid sent me your link. I’m new to Judaism.. 3 years and I’ve yet to buy Tefillin. Is adjudica or Judicaplace a reliable source? Should I stay away from dakkot? Also do you have any Sephardi Tefillin? One more lol.. how can I communicate with you outside of these comments . Thank you
I cannot speak for their quality as I have no experience purchasing from them. Stay away from dakos / peshutos if you can afford to. Yes we do have Sefardi. You can find it on my website www.thesofercenter.com under the store tab.
@@TheSoferCenter that’s fair. I’m the one who called you yesterday and your kid began to cry lol I’m still learning Hebrew so I don’t fully understand the differences between your $1160 Tefillin and your 1800+ one. Could you please explain. Thank you
I did end up getting a cheap tefflin online on Ebay and I did study the sta"am writing of Hebrew so when I get the ink for remaking the scroll just in case I'll half to rewrite the entire Tefflin scroll or not and I'm not a Jew and maybe my ancestry might be so I'll try my best to make these things as much Kosher as possible while I'm teaching myself on how to scribe Sta"am colligagraphy which is my favorite kind of writing and I can update u if u want in the future 😁
@@zeusvalentine3638 have thought of that before but only Adonai knows the way and Hebrew Sta"am is a very precise patern/practice under the law of Moses 😁

Amazon and ebay have standards not to allow their sites to be a platform for fraud. Thank you for an excellent informative presentation
Very insightful

I’ve seen real Tefillin go for as much as 2000 but they last a very long time, saw a man inherit his fathers n they were still kosher
