Last year my father and I took an around the country train trip. Our last stop before heading home was New Orleans. We visited the WW2 museum. We allocated a whole day. My father is the youngest of 10 children so there’s quite a range in the ages. He was still a kid when his oldest brother returned from the war all shot up. His brother wouldn’t talk much about his experience but my father knew how badly it affected him. Seeing my father cry at the museum for his brother broke my heart. Thank you Uncle David for saving the world from Nazi Germany. My father ended up serving 20 years in the US Navy.
