Some poor people who do not drive may not have an id card or a drivers license.... all US citizens should be provided with an ID card if they are not able to afford it financially. Forcing a person to pay $10 -$12 or more... just so they can vote equates to a poll tax. I have to think though that anyone who has a job and has to cash a check or prove their identity would have an ID card already.

364 days a year, every year, you can register to vote. In wa state they ask if you want to register to vote when you get an id/ drivers license. Post offices, fire halls, library's, police stations, and courthouses. Every election become a place to cast your vote. Plus the pop up places. The message needs to be that the voting process SHOULD be made secure through things like voter ID, and by eliminating practices like ballot harvesting. Assuming they can get registered to vote. Assuming they are willing to wait in line for hours in some districts, while others walk right up, vote, and are finished in 5 minutes. Assuming they don't mind driving 25 miles to vote, while others can vote within a block from where they live. I challenged any Democrat to produce the name of anyone who was legally eligible, tried to vote, but was prevented from voting. Nobody has done so yet. In Georgia, the alleged Jim Crow state, black voter turnout set records in 2018, then again in 2020. Does that sound like evidence of voter suppression?

Some poor people who do not drive may not have an id card or a drivers license.... all US citizens should be provided with an ID card if they are not able to afford it financially. Forcing a person to pay $10 -$12 or more... just so they can vote equates to a poll tax. I have to think though that anyone who has a job and has to cash a check or prove their identity would have an ID card already.

Post offices, fire halls, library's, police stations, and courthouses. Every election become a place to cast your vote. Plus the pop up places. I challenged any Democrat to produce the name of anyone who was legally eligible, tried to vote, but was prevented from voting. Nobody has done so yet.
