This takes me back over twenty five years to the time when I was Bandmaster at Halifax Citadel UK (which is now, very sadly closed) and had the privilege of conducting this lovely piece. We weren't up to the standard of these two wonderful staff bands but didn't do too bad a job.
In Mansions of glory and endless delight, I'll ever adore Thee and dwell in Thy sight, I'll sing with the glittering crown on my brow, If ever l loved Thee, my JESUS 'tis now. What do you want more than that?
One of my favorite pieces - to me this always speaks of a growing relationship with Jesus.
If ever....'tis now!!!!
