I'm forever grateful for Criminally Listed, it's hard to find true crime videos that focus on the mystery and crime rather than the other details of the personal life of the victim that have nothing to do with the crime (ie their sexual lives etc)
Who knew? I'd never imagined that getting addicted to heroin could ever be a smart lifestyle choice, until now. But I've gotta say that when the choice is A) being in Richard Kuklinski's inner circle, or B) getting hooked on heroin, option B actually sounds like the smarter and safer choice! Also, what a seriously depressing statement on just how crappy things used to be for women: that poor 18yo girl clearly saw that her boyfriend was dangerously unhinged and frighteningly violent...but she found out she was pregnant and "didn't feel like she had any other choice." Now, to be clear, I'm not at all a fan of unplanned teenage pregnancy, and think it should be avoided if at all possible! But it's downright tragic to think of how often very young women felt forced into marrying violent and abusive men, simply because single motherhood (let alone using birthcontrol or terminating a pregnancy) was not an option.
TH-cam Censors Agreed, 100%! That said, in the era that I was talking about specifically, the very idea of ANY unmarried woman "hop(ping) into bed" with any man, ever, was considered totally unacceptable, to the point that even a rumor that an umarried woman wasn't a virgin was tantamount to social and financial suicide. In that era, sex was essentially universally considered something that men were expected to push and push for, while women were expected to be the "gatekeepers" and say no until marriage. Sadly, what this paradigm all too often created was situations which, by current-day definitions, would be unambiguously considered rape. But women who were victims of this at that time had no legal, social or medical recourse- if an unmarried woman became pregnant by a man she knew, she was invariably believed to be "loose," told that it was her fault for not being virtuous enough, and if she had the misfortune to become pregnant as a result, there was unbelievably immense (by today's standards) pressure put on her to marry the father...even if the women had never consented to sex in the first place, or if the man was abusive, etc. OTOH, women nowadays (in Western culture, at least) have far, far less of an excuse to become pregnant unintentionally, let alone to marry a man simply because they happened to get knocked up without wanting to. And while current social standards have undoubtedly given women an incredibly greater ability to make choices, and made circumstances in general vastly less hopeless and desperate for women, the flip side is that these opportunities come with (or at least SHOULD come with?) equally greater responsibilities when it comes to choosing sexual partners, using contraception, getting married, etc. IMHO, nobody, regardless of gender, should make the choice to hop into bed with anyone unless they're fully willing to deal with all the potential consequences, i.e. men shouldn't be so focused on getting laid that they'll sleep with any woman who's willing, just as women shouldn't assume every guy she sleeps with is interested in a relationship. And of course, in an ideal world, everyone would always successfully be a good judge of character, but unfortunately nobody is able to do so 100% of the time. There will always be men like Kuklinski who deliberately and skillfully hide their true character...just as there will always be manipulative, gold-digging women who do the same. There's a reason, after all, that he was able to go on his murder spree undetected for decades: he was able to successfully disguise who he really was from most people, and was willing to coldly eliminate anyone who did suspect him. Even the most savvy, street smart people will occasionally be duped by calculating, manipulative con artists. In the end, all you can do is try to keep a good head on your shoulders, remember that "if it seems too good to be true, it probably is," and hope that you won't be targeted by a master deceiver.
@@seariakett4209 Don't bang bad guys and you won't have to kill your baby. A little personal choice is also needed to not hop into bed with any guy who buys you a drink. I think most women are smart enough to know that, but for the rest there's abortion.

9:18 'Vito Genevese NOT Carmine'.........Richard Kuklinski was associated with the Gambino family through Roy Demeo NOT the Genoveses, Vito Genevese died in jail in the 60's..........
Richard Kuklinski (the correct spelling of his last name) was hired as a “hitman” for the Gambino crime family and who, by his own admission, killed about 200 people or more all related to the mafia crime family or people who did business with them. He never killed children or women, all these men were also bad people. He led a double life making his wife Barbara believe that he had a “business,” and was the breadwinner of that household. Richard’s parents were awful, truly horrible people. His father was a Polish alcoholic, who used to beat him up and his brother for no reason at all on a daily basis, and so did his mother, who was a Catholic Irish woman. That household was very dysfunctional environment for Richard and his brother to grow up. To make a long story short: When Richard Kuklinski got caught in his crime spree, he was sent to prison at the Trenton State Penitentiary in New Jersey. He and his brother were both incarcerated in the same prison but hardly spoke. Richard was supposed to testify in Court against Sammy the Bull, John Gotti’s right hand man, and the night before his death, he called his wife Barbara and told her that he “was going to be poisoned” that night and he was right, when he was found dead in his prison cell the next morning. He knew he wouldn’t live to testify against the mafia, this crime family didn’t wan Richard to “spill the beans” about them knowing too much about their operations. I believe he was indeed poisoned by the mafia to finally “silence him” but then, a story was created that Richard died because he suffered from certain “health conditions or illness” called Kawasaki Disease, which was nothing but a “cover up” to conceal the truth of his demise, so no one would know the real reasons of Richard’s death. A sad and tragic case of two very dysfunctional and abusive parents who failed terribly to raise their and protect children. Richard and his brother grew up in a very violent environment and that household was full of serious problems due to the behavior of both parents. They (Richard and brother) grew up experiencing nothing but violence receiving constantly brutal beatings everyday. Richard’s father was an alcoholic polish man, and his mother was a Catholic Irish woman. A good video to watch is “The Iceman Tapes” that was made when renowned psychiatrist Dr. Parks, had an exclusive interview with Richard Kuklinski in prison. It is a very interesting video to watch.
Why did you even include urban legends in the title when 99% of the video was just about this psychopathic hitman, and you spent 2 seconds talking urban legends? Kinda buried the lead there
exactly... that was put in there cuz of real bodies being found inside beds. also the cecil hotel was real they made it over. thats where the death of that young girl happened in the hotel's water tank..nude and they even tried saying it was an accident.. i doubt she'd get in there by herself and be stark naked...definitely killed
Am I really the ONLY one that understands how this particular series of videos is structured? Tying an urband legend to a true crime, so: "this urban legend exists, it actually happened like this... let me tell you about this muthafka and how we got to this urban legend story" ... I thought it was clear with the first one, but people still keep thinking that the titles are misleading, confusing or are just waiting for another urban legend to be mentioned in the same video...?... like.... why is this hard?
This is a great example of BEING OFF TRACK! I could of sworn this was about finding dead bodies under beds. You went so deep off track i had to go back and read the title again! I AM OFFICIALLY LOST!
When you were describing how he beat him to death with a wooden dolly I thought you meant an actual doll. I've never heard the phrase dolly in this context before. I was imagining a murder using a wooden cabbage patch doll.
The Darkness Underneath podcast on TH-cam does a great job methodically going through his claims. He has several videos containing hours of well researched information.✌️

A few years ago, I studied everything I could find on "The Ice Man". He was the most fascinating killer I've ever studied. Yes, he was a Sociopath created by his parents. He wasn't a psychopath. He had a conscience. This is the first time I've ever heard that he allegedly sexually mutilated his first wife. Not sure that part's true.

What I really want to know - what kind of dump motel has so deficient cleaning between guests, that they managed to rent a room not once, not twice, not 3 times, but to 4 different ppl over 5 days without cleaners finding the body under the bed.
It was a sleazy rent by the hour hotel. This video got alot wrong, including still claiming he was a hitman and he worked for the mafia, those claims have been debunked years ago.✌️
In my town we have two motels down the road of each other. They both have had multiple bodies hidden in the box spring. I found this out from the owners of the motels.

She definitely knew her husband was a violent criminal. Whether she knew the full extent of his crimes is debatable
I have a better time believing that she might of had her suspicions but would be too afraid to confront him or ask him
It happens often. Ted Bundy, John Wayne Gacy, BTK and the green river killer were all in committed relationships and their significant others didn’t know a damn thing
The smell of death was all over the house
You could name this video "The Iceman" and it would probably get more views. Because the part where you talk about the body under the bed is really short.
"Hey, I'll give you money if you get these pain killers for me."
Richard: **Kills him**
What an awful entrepreneur.
He killed his pain, didn't he? What more do you want? 😂
It was zantac 4 ulcers😂😂
Barbara described home life with Richard as “incredibly volatile at times”.....really Babs, quick thinking right there!!
all these videos are amazing and having no ads is insane!! i don’t mind ads since it supports the channel but sometimes i listen to criminally listed to sleep and having no ads is beautiful
Another CL upload?!! Amazing! Thank you!
speaking of railroads.. they are going to railroad you in the comment section for butchering the pronunciation of kuklinski
2 uploads in under 2 days, u spoil us 😍
Whenever I want to be creeped out, I know exactly where to go. Your channel is exceptional, with unique content, mixed with the narrator’s monotone voice, it’s spot on spooky. And, it’s true crime! Thanks for doing what you do
I recommend watching the Iceman Tapes, especially the one with Dr. Park Dietz.
FASCINATING.
I totally dig the narrators voice and his simple delivery keeps it easy to follow the stories. Even w/o visuals/photos, the audio is beyond enough to instantly grasp the characters & premise of each story. This particular story was like reading a fantastic new book by my favorite author. The quality & quantity of information you’ve gathered & assembled on old infamous mysteries, murders & serial killers, are like hearing it all for the first time. I’ve never been able to say that about any narratives...ever. You definitely have a new follower & fan. Thanks so much darlin 😁💯t~
9:18 'Vito Genevese NOT Carmine'.........Richard Kuklinski was associated with the Gambino family through Roy Demeo NOT the Genoveses, Vito Genevese died in jail in the 60's..........
Video starts at 1:30. Thanks for the upload! I've heard of this case before!
No dumplings today?
Stanley was a Monster, the boys didn't have a fair shot growing up. Sad all the lives that were effected. 🖤
My Dad’s dad, I won’t even call him my grandfather, was just like their father. My Dad is the kindest man I’ve ever known, there is no excuse.
@@Duffster75 so he killed your uncle? Just speaking for the majority. Your dad was lucky to have made it out with a good heart. Blessings 🖤
Who is Stanley?
Ty, you said everything I wanted to.
your tone has a real “burger king foot lettuce” energy
😂😂😂!!
Nah, Chills is in a league of his own when it comes to weird, obnoxious yet somehow charming vocal patterns.
@@Jolis_Parsec Chills fakes his trash voice. His earlier stuff sounded normal. He’s unwatchable trash now.
@@AceAcumen haters gonna hate
@@tysparks598 he’s not lying
It's time for bed! Every night I must listen to Criminally Listed to fall asleep.... Anyone else?
Sammie Reidell yep me!
Why did you even include urban legends in the title when 99% of the video was just about this psychopathic hitman, and you spent 2 seconds talking urban legends? Kinda buried the lead there
Richard was off the hook crazy
American horror story! Hotel: sally cuts the beds open 😌 like if u know
First thing I thought of. That show is so disturbing!
exactly... that was put in there cuz of real bodies being found inside beds. also the cecil hotel was real they made it over. thats where the death of that young girl happened in the hotel's water tank..nude and they even tried saying it was an accident.. i doubt she'd get in there by herself and be stark naked...definitely killed
Thats why i never watched the show it was bad and weird
Two videos in one day. You are truly spoiling us. Stay safe, stay healthy everyone !
New video 🥺 thank you so much. These videos help me relax and go to sleep. While I get sad or scared it still helps put things into perspective.
Body under the bed, I guess better than body sewed into the mattress! I do love me some Hypodermic Sally tho. Once again, great post CL!
@shawnda mccormick
Say I love you Sally, and it will all go away.... SAY IT!!!.... Say it again.....
... Lol... 👍
@@darkcznrurdy4me810 I Love you Sally!
@@shawndamccormick278 😁😉✌️
11:07 The deadpan way he said "the truck driver was tougher than Richard expected" cracked me up
Everytime a new person is introduced to the story that has an association with the mafia take a shot.
Good for Richard for not allowing people to bully him as a kid.
When you were describing how he beat him to death with a wooden dolly I thought you meant an actual doll. I've never heard the phrase dolly in this context before. I was imagining a murder using a wooden cabbage patch doll.
BATMAN SARAH this made me laugh so hard
It was a wooden DOWEL. The pole that you hang the clothes on in the closet. Sheesh.
Holly G 😂😂😂👍
BATMAN SARAH So funny! 😂😂😂👏
😆 👍
Thank you for sharing this about the Iceman, I have watched every documentary about him. You guys did a amazing job 👏
The Darkness Underneath podcast on TH-cam does a great job methodically going through his claims. He has several videos containing hours of well researched information.✌️
Did anyone notice that man behind the kid sitting on the fire hydrant is dressed as a woman? Fast forward to 5:39seconds.
That's exactly what I thought it's man isn't it I'm sure
Roseanne Platt this is indeed an interesting photo from that era. It was tabu back then.
Probably why those young men look a little disturbed...
Thank You @CriminallyListed
New To The Channel , Yet so Far All Of The Video's That I've Come Across Has Peeked My Interest , As It Peeks Into My Passion Of Crime , ANd Mysteries Unsolved.
Appreciate All Your Hard Work
Where's my Jersey ppl at? Richard was a very bad dude. Smart too. He managed to kill so many while hiding it from his family and friends. I remember reading about him at the library here where i live in Jersey when i was a teenager. Stay safe and healthy everyone. ❤🙏
Oh so you're a mutant?
Jersey in the building...
Jersey has a lot of sick crimes! I went to school with someone who shot someone (a very good friend of mine) up with drugs and he died. They put his body in the back seat and we’re gunna takes his wallet and dump him. They stopped for gas and the attendant noticed the body didn’t look normal and called cops. They were caught and did time in jail. Rip wiggles
Truck driver here. Listening to your channel makes my drives around the country much more bearable. Thank you for helping me to keep rolling!
Yes!! Love notifications from this page. Thanks for interesting videos
I love your videos.. so informative and full of facts. Your voice is perfect for these types of stories.. love it! Not everyone can put all the hard work you do and take on the big stories. Keep it up!!!
You're my favorite channel of all time love you criminally listed!
Dysfunctional alcoholic home. Abused animals. Petty crimes. Murder. Is anyone surprised about the progression
it's pronounced Ku-Klinski....
you're missing a K. It's not Ku-linski.....
Criminally listed you are the best, I always look forward to your videos and have seen them all many way way more then 100 times lol. I'm a police fou dations student and every week or two do power point presentations on different criminal cases and have used your channel as a learning tool. Lots if information great flow both visually and verbally. I even find your voice to be very soothing yet pulls me into the story. Honestly I'm a huge fan and appreciate your time and effort in these videos, I know pulling together the information and presenting it is not always easy. I love not just learning but gaining my own confidence when I have to present my cases to my class. I actually just did a presentation on the Monster of the Marimichi and got a mark of 100% on my assignment. Oh I did one on septic tank sam and used your video within my presentation as a link for the rest of my class to view the story by one of my favorite story tellers. And I'm pretty sure we got 100 on that one too ;) WAY TO GO CRIMINALLY LISTED
I look forward to your videos during this tough time. Thank you CL ❤
Wow CL, a 46:53 minute long episode?! Good for you and thank you because I seem to always want more when I start to watch you. I start my 'me time' with the last episode I wanted to watch but had to stop when 'mommy time' begins again (once my daughter wakes up). I never feel like I'm bored, just a bit spooked, or getting misinformation from you.
I’m from central New Jersey and it’s great hearing something so close to home
Same!! Middlesex county here

Body under the bed - Goes on a 45 minute tangent about the Iceman. I like your style.
At 5:44 ... is that a dude in a dress with a little girl...behind the boys on the bench? In the olden days?
A few years ago, I studied everything I could find on "The Ice Man". He was the most fascinating killer I've ever studied. Yes, he was a Sociopath created by his parents. He wasn't a psychopath. He had a conscience. This is the first time I've ever heard that he allegedly sexually mutilated his first wife. Not sure that part's true.
His story has been debunked years ago. He was never a hitman and he never worked for the mafia. He killed 5 people, 3 to rip off and 2 to silence and none were mafia related.✌️
Thanks for the upload man. I needed this tonight.
5:45 The 'woman' at the right end of the picture looks like a man transvestite in woman's clothes. Maybe I'm just seeing things though.
😂😂😂
ok?
U see it good so weird
2 videos in one day. I'm loving it. Thanks for the amazing content, and all the hardwork you do researching these delightfully frightening folks and their stories.
Groovy! Two videos this week, how absolutely delightful! I hope everyone is safe, healthy and comfortable.
Cheers ✌️💙✨
Thank u chills. Epic video as always...keep em coming!
Watching Kurklinskis interview he tries to come off as the coldest bastard on the planet. I'm sure he murdered but he tries too hard. He was way too creepy.
The “Iceman’s” name is Richard KUKLINSKI...not Kalinski.
Shane Saw Hutchison thank you !!!!
One day, all crimes will come to stop because of this channel!
Greetings from Eastern Arabia!
Someone left a 8 ft python under a bed at our local motel 😳

At 5:39 is that a time traveler dude wearing a dress
Watching from NSW Australia.
Thank you CL for the upload.
This video went from an urban legend to an iceman documentary real fast
Ikr. The title doesn't fit the video. Still liked it.
Venus extravaganza was also found dead under a hotel bed several days after she was killed. :{ RIP
The undercover agent had balls deceiving the ice man.
The iceman! An absolute badass. The tapes he did in Prison are wild.
5:36 there's a man in a dress walking on the sidewalk
What I really want to know - what kind of dump motel has so deficient cleaning between guests, that they managed to rent a room not once, not twice, not 3 times, but to 4 different ppl over 5 days without cleaners finding the body under the bed.
It was a sleazy rent by the hour hotel. This video got alot wrong, including still claiming he was a hitman and he worked for the mafia, those claims have been debunked years ago.✌️
Every time I scroll pass this thumbnail I think that’s a picture of Louis CK.
In my town we have two motels down the road of each other. They both have had multiple bodies hidden in the box spring. I found this out from the owners of the motels.
Now that, when you tell a third-party like telling me or anyone else who read your post a true Urban Legend. Unless you're just b***********. Peace
I can't believe I'm this early. Feels good to be apart of the cool kids club 😎
Ahh, you were kewl before, hon.
@@shawndamccormick278 Thanks boop 😘
Imagine finding out that your spouse was a contract killer, who favored Cyanide as one of his mediums. Gives me shivers. Not that it must have really surprised her.
Except he was never a contract killer and he never worked for the mafia. Those claims have been debunked years ago.✌️
Whos watching this 2020 in quarentine or self distancing?
Oh hey I'm early. Love your videos thanks for keeping the videos going during quarantine ☺️❤️❤️
Because if Snopes says it's true, then you can take that to the bank.
Thank you, Criminally Listed, for spoiling us with another video!!
