- 3 years ago today we met our sweet Penelope for the first time in Nanjing, China! SO GRATEFUL she chose to be our daughter and join our family! We celebrated with a trip to her favorite Asian market and some delicious Asian food!!!

Yes, I can't imagine how tough it probably was for her in the beginning. But with these parents and her siblings being so..kind, sweet, genuine...how could it be any better for a young girl.
Keira was just hilarious on that swing.... A short moment for Lincoln and Reese is just so sweet.... Again, I want to grow kids this way. Jude is just so gentle yet fun, Ethan and Liam always sticks together, Penelope and Keira is just so game with the boys....

This is my first TH-cam video I watch from them and This is so crazy to me, When I create my own family I want my family to be very diverse and loving. I also will want to name my daughter Keira! i am so inspired by Penelope. She is such an amazing beautiful girl. 12 years old is a hard age for any kid. I cant imagine choosing to join a family that lives on the other side of the world who looks different and has a different culture and language. This is a very strong and brave kid. It was actually the English name that China gave her on her adoption profile but it was also a name I already loved. So we asked her if she’d like to keep it and she said yes. Now her name is Penelope XiaoHong and she goes by both. ☺️💖
