I came up with the alternating sc, dc pattern when I made a holder for small packets of tissues. When using size 3 crochet thread, it gives a pebbly texture, so I called it the pebble stitch. Here it is called the lemon peel stitch, which is a fitting name for a bumpy texture. Since you did a chain followed by a row of hdc, one could substitute a single row of a foundation half-double crochet. I’m only five minutes in, so I’m looking forward to watching the rest of this video. I have an air conditioner making my arms cold, so I need something to warm up my arms without being an actual sweater.
Beautiful demonstration! Would the plus size fit a 3x? Is the miss size a med/large. Woulda bulky yarn like puzzle yarn work for this? Thank you very much.
Puzzle yarn should work, though the cardigan might be slight bit larger, however with a cocoon I don’t think that will make much difference. I wear a 2X size and I have some room in the cardigan. However, you may want to ch 122 and work your piece to 43 inches.
I’m sorry to hear about your daughter. We will pray for her. If you like to adjust the Misses size down some you have two options. You could move a hook size down or start with a ch of 104 and work your piece until you have 34 inches.

would caron cakes skinny yarn work for this? its light weight, thanks for the tutorial!! going to be my next project once i find a good yarn
I am unfamiliar with that yarn. I used worsted weight medium 4. However, a light weight yarn may reduce the size of the finished piece.
@@NinjaBunnyCrochet thank you, i am going to use caron big cakes yarn it is medium weight (4) acrylic yarn
That should work.
can you advise for a small/medium misses... daughter recovering from cancer and would love 💕 this so much. Please advise
