    If yall dont know, he is the best to ever compete. And if your only comment is "steroids" its an untested sport, all off his opponents are on it too. Do you comment "steroids" under strongman or powerlifting videos? Educate yourself. Also, FightPass you need to educate the viewer. He has 96 wins and 5 losses. He is on a 50+ fight win streak. The casual fans have no idea that he is Michael Jordan.

      He is sincerely the greatest BJJ player of all time in my opinion.
      As the sport has grown and technique has alongside it, this man just continues to excel at every facet of BJJ competition.
      And a wonderful person too, marketing persona aside, he's been consistently very kind to me and other fans in the past.
      This is someone we should aspire to be similar to, not spout silly, nonsense hatred about.

      @@josemartin1727 you're right, Gordon Ryan is trash at jiu jitsu and deserves none of those wins.
      Steroids made him too strong and made his jiu jitsu skill irrelevant.

    To all the Ryan haters out there, aint NOBODY would be making shit like this without this man. Enjoy the spotlight and eventual revenue he's bringing to the sport. People just hate cus he's leveled up the game and no one wants to put in the work necessary to keep up.

      @@murphyrogers1497 Don't forget that he was older than Buchecha when he beat him. Roger said in his latest podcast with Lex Fridman that he is not know for his strength or speed. It's all about the right timing and technique with him.

    • @Slymo11
      @Slymo11 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@murphyrogers1497 yea you're right he's a lot older. I haven't been training long, so I don't know how badly impacts you in BJJ. I just wondered as Roger seemed to have such a simple but incredibly tight technical game that his age might not be such a factor and he came back before and beat the guy who was seen as the best didn't he. Although granted I think that was in the gi?

    • @anonymousreviewer169
      @anonymousreviewer169 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @Slymo11 Perhaps Gordon won't be able to submit him, but it should very well be a 1 way road in favor of Gordon. In the Gi, you can slow down your opponent significantly using grips; in Nogi, not only is this mostly unavailable, but also age and athleticism matter significantly more, and the age differential between the two is too significant. This is precisely why Roger (on Lex podcast) recently said the best strategy is to quit whilst on top, and he quit right on the edge. If he comes back and loses to Gordon, many people may forget his previous accolades and focus on his latest loss instead, thereby tarnishing his standing. Roger and Khabin did it right, but Xande made this mistake (at least according to Roger).

I believe jiu-jitsu is the next big thing and Gordo will get it there much like Conor did for mma. His only weakness is driving. Brother please don't drive distracted. Not only you and your family, but the whole combat sports world would hurt.
