This video made me so happy! I’m new to solo cruising and MSC is the line that best matches my income level / the on,y cruise line I’ve been able to afford so far as a young/low income/ solo traveler. I loved seeing you relax on the beach at the private island before the light house show - I spent an entire day on a lounger. Shoutout to the great bartenders at Swingers, they gave me a free Jamaican Paradise because they didn’t have a banana to make me a rock lobster (I drink 2-3 alcoholic drinks a day and prefer the high end liquors so would rather pay cash for a couple high quality drinks that I’ll love than have unlimited crappy well drinks with the drink package) so a free $9 drink really made my day! I was very dollar to dollar with my budget and that money saved bought me a handmade soap from the gift shop (I’m obsessed! I went back and bought a bunch more! Worth every penny!) My first MSC cruise in September was only 22% full so I relate to feeling like royalty. I’m going to make sure to set aside money for the spa next time - and next time I do the Caribbean I still want to get a massage on the beach, bucket list item!
I'm glad you enjoyed the video! Yea MSC gets a lot of unnecessary hate. I loved every second of it. For the price, the experience can't be beat. That massage on the beach sounds amazing! I had one on a cruise I took back in November of this year. IT WAS AMAZING.
We are going on this ship from Dec 19th. In old days they used to send luggage tag with name of ship, cabin no etc. Now they changed. What is new policy. Person who booked was not much good to explain.
This is one of the best reviews I’ve seen for MSC! MSC is one my favorite cruiselines. (I’ve been on Carnival, MSC, Norwegian, Royal, and Another smaller brand and they all have pros and cons but MSC is just my favorite!! Their cruises are beautiful and the people are very nice! The food is amazing and very delicious (which I cannot say for Carnival as I was not very happy about it). The MSC spa is excellent and the rooms are very spacious and comfortable. There are always so many pools and hot tubs available. But most importantly, MSC has the best prices (I know it’s because they’re new to this hemisphere and trying to become more known but I hope that they will stay in the same range)! I am scheduled on my next MSC cruise in December 2021 and can’t wait to see their private island!!! Thanks again for the review!
Thank you so much! I couldn't agree more for the price I believe MSC IS HANDS DOWN ONE OF THE BEST DEALS IN VACATION. The spa was miles ahead of the spa's Ive been to on NCL and there one of my favorite lines. I feel bad for people that had horrible experiences but I'm just not one of them. I'll cruise with them again in a heartbeat.
I took the Divina for 4 days a few weeks after. Itinerary was similar but we had Nassau and Ocean Cay. Same thing, very empty but very relaxing. Embarkation and Disembarkation was so quick and easy.
That's great. I almost took the Divina out of Orlando a few weeks ago but I jumped on Royal for the same itinerary. MSC right now is one of the best values in cruising I loved every second
The MSC Divina is so nice. I agree with the common complaints other people talk about (lack of included dining options, confusing and misleading drink packages, no bartenders walking around the pool or beach area and having to go up to the bar when I wanted a drink) but I actually loved the buffet food so much - main dining was OK - only place the food was truly awful was on Ocean Cay, as they didn’t have any plant based options - I’d either spring for the lobster roll truck that I hear is good but an up charge, or eat a really big breakfast on the ship and/or go back to the ship for lunch.
WERE doing the Mariveglia Nov 20... hoping it's a little less crowded... but with Europeans entering to cruise now probably not. We love MSC... we like good food don't get me wrong but people act like the food was horrible its not... I only had one meal I didn't like... so I went and got food at the Market Place... no biggy. Great review... I subscribed... looking forward to more of your bucket list.

I've seen a few mixed reviews about MSC, but I'm definitely going to try it. The ship looks absolutely stunning. I just booked a solo cruise on the Oasis of the seas. So excited about that. I totally agree with you. Sometimes you want to turn up and sometimes you want to relax 😌 🙂🍷

I just discovered your channel and I like what you post! Very informative and entertaining! I sailed Meraviglia February 2020. Loved it! It was a Western Caribbean itinerary. I agree the ship is beautiful. I love MSC because it is so very affordable for solo cruisers. I was on Divina December 2019. We were the first ship to visit Ocean Cay. What an awesome island! I am looking forward to my next two solo MSC cruises. 12 days to Southern Caribbean and South America and a 7 day Western Caribbean. By the way I was on Mariner of the Seas the week after you. It was my first cruise back and it was great. Loved the limited capacity!

Nice video! I am going on the Meraviglia in 10 days, alone. I usually travel with friends. Looking forward to a short cruise on another one of MSCs beautiful ships. I love the line. It rapidly became my favorite, surpassing Royal. I find no problem with the food but tend to select Italian specialties. Their pizza, pasta. breads and desserts are amazing!
I really like MSC as well. The value of what they offer for the price is unmatched in my opinion and they ships are beautiful and well designed. There food is decent just limited compared to other lines but its not as bad as people make it seem. Thank you by the way!

I was trying to do a 2 day cruise on this ship but from what I'm seeing they don't have anymore that fit my schedule for this year. I'll definitely be back in 2023. No problem!
Considering one of these short cruises in early December. Wonder if it will still be so dead. I have never been on MSC before, my biggest concern is the food. I am a bit picky to begin with and the food certainly gets mixed reviews.
I heard its been picking up lately with passengers. Starting next month it will be close to normal because of restrictions lifted in the UK. The food is ok at best but I think you still be able to find something decent
They were lol. I decided to not get the drink package because I don't really drink much. All together I only spent about 42 dollars on about 6 drinks throughout the cruise.

Thank you! So MSC has a reputation of having some of the cheapest cruises around because of them being new and trying to attract new customers. Critics say its because of there low quality, but in my experience it wasn't the case. The pricing and free balcony upgrade I got is still available to this day on some of there cruises.

It's only lonely if you want it to be. People will approach you out of curiosity if they see you are alone. It happened to me many times on the cruise I just got off of yesterday.
Looks like a fun trip. We were considering a cruise on this same ship and ended up booking it about 3/4s of the way through watching this haha. Hopefully it's as empty as yours was.

Thanks for the review. I was on the Meravigilia for a week with only 865 other passengers, and like you said - it felt like I was on a private cruise ship. The only thing that I really didn't like was that damn Dome Show - they have this super hi-tech video screen about as long as a football field, and it looks like they used My First Screen Creator (or something) to design the shows. The one you showed (with the dinosaurs) was the best, and even in that happy, fun video... the dinos DIED at the end... so uplifting! lol I have booked them again for February and April.

This is my 3nd review about this particular MSC ship. Personally, me I prefer less people on a cruise ship. (I was just on NCL Joy. I picked a specific month without kids and large crowds of people. Oh boy! I was not thrilled.) 😠
I AGREE. I'll be on the Joy during the first week of may and I'm excited. I was spoiled on this cruise ship at the time. I couldn't believe some of the negative comments I received saying I wasted my money. Folks this is a cruise ship with the crowd size of a yacht. I was in paradise lol

You're welcome Ryan. It's usually better to buy it before the cruise, it'll be cheaper. If you don't though they'll give you options to buy it when you first get onboard. If you drink more than a few drinks a day and also things like soda and coffee it's worth it. Have a good cruise!

Thank-you! The bed was decent I didn't have any problems. Usually I do with the little pillows but even those were fine. The A/C was decent it was hard to just right. As far as the coffee I dont know I've never had any before lol
Thank you! Uhhh good question. So because there were so few people while I was there I just left my stuff at my chair and I was comfortable with it. Usually I would get a locker but this time I just didn't need to. There are lockers near the equipment rental area and the buffet. I'm not sure of the price.

Insanity.. total opposite, I was on MSC Grandiosa in September in the Mediterranean & the pool deck was absolutely so packed... the ship in general was like 85% capacity.

Thank you. It was. Even though we had a very small amount of people it probably was the most diverse cruise I've beer been on between staff and guests. I didn't see too many kids. The ones that were onboard were toddlers.
It really was man. I had some fools telling me that looked like a horrible cruise because it was empty. I'm still scratching my head about those crazy comments lol.
Thankyou. Honestly this cruise was nothing like I expected. Unlike NCL this cruise doesn't do anything special for solo cruisers and people stay to themselves. I would just say try to eat in the dinning room as much as possible as the buffet is limited and has the same items each day.

I'm currently on Royal Caribbean Mariner of the seas. They upgraded me because of some issues and it included a premium wifi package lol. And yea I did on MSC as I was saying in the video I cant go into detail because I'm not trying to get banned
In my experience it's extremely relaxed. People tend to keep to themselves a lot more than other lines because of language barriers but I really enjoyed it.

@@MrBucketlist Tips for Travellers just vlogged a Virgin cruise that you may want to watch. I've been a Disney cruiser for many years prior to The Blip so I can give you a lot of tips there. Weekend cruises will have the most children and also when children are off school during holidays and summer. Disney does an excellent job of keeping the children busy in the children's clubhouses. The transatlantic crossings will have the fewest children, about 5% (only about a 100 children with 2000 adults!) The transatlantic crossings are the best value cruises on a per night basis. Disney Cruise Line is more entertainment focused rather than thrill rides onboard and expect a lot of character meet and greets and you may even see Sleepwalking Goofy wandering around the decks and stateroom corridors late at night. It is not a party cruise atmosphere. Dining is based on a rotation of the three Main Dining Rooms (MDRs) at specific early or late times. Most children are at the earlier dining time. There are one or two specialty dining restaurants for adults depending on the ship, Palo (Pa-lo is pronounced Pah-loh, rhymes with follow) on all four DCL ships and Remy on the Fantasy and Dream. Palo brunch buffet was always recommended but since The Blip, that has since returned with an a la carte menu instead. The brunch buffet was fantastic! There are no drink packages, but there is a daily drink of the day that was about $5+. Coffee, tea, juice, milk, fizzy drinks are all included in the cruise fare. You can bring your own bottle of alcohol. Adults have their own private adults-only Lido at Quiet Cove, with Cove Cafe that serves specialty coffees that are additional cost but they also have sweets throughout the day that are included. Service onboard is wonderful. Your dinner servers follow your MDR dining schedule throughout the cruise so they know learn preferences and if you enjoyed a dish at another MDR from a prior dinner, they can usually get it for you. On DCL's private Bahamian island, Castaway Cay, there is an adult section, Serenity Bay, which has its own BBQ which serves steak at lunch. Cookie's BBQs for the families do not serve steak. Onboard, there is an adult-only entertainment section but it is not very active because there are so many activities during the day, people are usually knackered by late evening. There are no casinos onboard, but they do have Bingo which I always recommend. Before The Blip, the finale cash prize was $5000 to $10000! The other Bingo games were $300-$500. I always recommend getting the electronic device package for best odds. I've won a couple of the smaller Bingo games and almost won a Blackout Bingo grand prize by one number! Look for last-minute cruise offers for Florida residents. Before The Blip, you could book the cheapest stateroom and upgrade at port and save 40%-50% on the upgrade, based on availability. The newest ship in the DCL fleet is being launched next year, the Disney Wish. Unfortunately, the fully wraparound Promenade Deck was eliminated (a feature on the current fleet and beloved by the RunDisney community) and the midship lifts were removed so there are only two sets of lifts instead of three. I do not plan to book a cruise on the Wish. I can provide more information if needed so you can fully enjoy a Disney cruise!

After working for them I expected them to have a certain level of service and it sounds like I won't be disappointed. Everything at MSC is cheaper than any other cruise line I've been on. I really enjoyed it, and that sounds like a good itinerary I would do. If the crowd levels are still low you should definitely enjoy it. Im on symphony of the seas right now and we passed by the Meraviglia and it was empty
I most definitely will be making a video for this cruise, its been the best I've ever had and it's only day 5 of 8 lol. It should be out next week. I do plan to do wonder some time next year once it launches to the public.

I've seen a few mixed reviews about MSC, but I'm definitely going to try it. The ship looks absolutely stunning. I just booked a solo cruise on the Oasis of the seas. So excited about that. I totally agree with you. Sometimes you want to turn up and sometimes you want to relax 😌 🙂🍷

I just discovered your channel and I like what you post! Very informative and entertaining! I sailed Meraviglia February 2020. Loved it! It was a Western Caribbean itinerary. I agree the ship is beautiful. I love MSC because it is so very affordable for solo cruisers. I was on Divina December 2019. We were the first ship to visit Ocean Cay. What an awesome island! I am looking forward to my next two solo MSC cruises. 12 days to Southern Caribbean and South America and a 7 day Western Caribbean. By the way I was on Mariner of the Seas the week after you. It was my first cruise back and it was great. Loved the limited capacity!

Nice video! I am going on the Meraviglia in 10 days, alone. I usually travel with friends. Looking forward to a short cruise on another one of MSCs beautiful ships. I love the line. It rapidly became my favorite, surpassing Royal. I find no problem with the food but tend to select Italian specialties. Their pizza, pasta. breads and desserts are amazing!
I really like MSC as well. The value of what they offer for the price is unmatched in my opinion and they ships are beautiful and well designed. There food is decent just limited compared to other lines but its not as bad as people make it seem. Thank you by the way!

Considering one of these short cruises in early December. Wonder if it will still be so dead. I have never been on MSC before, my biggest concern is the food. I am a bit picky to begin with and the food certainly gets mixed reviews.
I heard its been picking up lately with passengers. Starting next month it will be close to normal because of restrictions lifted in the UK. The food is ok at best but I think you still be able to find something decent

They were lol. I decided to not get the drink package because I don't really drink much. All together I only spent about 42 dollars on about 6 drinks throughout the cruise.

Thank you! So MSC has a reputation of having some of the cheapest cruises around because of them being new and trying to attract new customers. Critics say its because of there low quality, but in my experience it wasn't the case. The pricing and free balcony upgrade I got is still available to this day on some of there cruises.

Looks like a fun trip. We were considering a cruise on this same ship and ended up booking it about 3/4s of the way through watching this haha. Hopefully it's as empty as yours was.

Thanks for the review. I was on the Meravigilia for a week with only 865 other passengers, and like you said - it felt like I was on a private cruise ship.
The only thing that I really didn't like was that damn Dome Show - they have this super hi-tech video screen about as long as a football field, and it looks like they used My First Screen Creator (or something) to design the shows. The one you showed (with the dinosaurs) was the best, and even in that happy, fun video... the dinos DIED at the end... so uplifting! lol

Thankyou! Yea when I first booked they were the only line that didn't require the jab just a negative test, things change during and after my cruise its crazy. I think I saw like 7 kids the whole trip it was perfect lol

This is my 3nd review about this particular MSC ship. Personally, me I prefer less people on a cruise ship. (I was just on NCL Joy. I picked a specific month without kids and large crowds of people. Oh boy! I was not thrilled.) 😠
I AGREE. I'll be on the Joy during the first week of may and I'm excited. I was spoiled on this cruise ship at the time. I couldn't believe some of the negative comments I received saying I wasted my money. Folks this is a cruise ship with the crowd size of a yacht. I was in paradise lol

You're welcome Ryan. It's usually better to buy it before the cruise, it'll be cheaper. If you don't though they'll give you options to buy it when you first get onboard. If you drink more than a few drinks a day and also things like soda and coffee it's worth it. Have a good cruise!

Thank-you! The bed was decent I didn't have any problems. Usually I do with the little pillows but even those were fine. The A/C was decent it was hard to just right. As far as the coffee I dont know I've never had any before lol

Thank you! Uhhh good question. So because there were so few people while I was there I just left my stuff at my chair and I was comfortable with it. Usually I would get a locker but this time I just didn't need to. There are lockers near the equipment rental area and the buffet. I'm not sure of the price.

Insanity.. total opposite, I was on MSC Grandiosa in September in the Mediterranean & the pool deck was absolutely so packed... the ship in general was like 85% capacity.

Thank you. It was. Even though we had a very small amount of people it probably was the most diverse cruise I've beer been on between staff and guests. I didn't see too many kids. The ones that were onboard were toddlers.

Thankyou. Honestly this cruise was nothing like I expected. Unlike NCL this cruise doesn't do anything special for solo cruisers and people stay to themselves. I would just say try to eat in the dinning room as much as possible as the buffet is limited and has the same items each day.

In my experience it's extremely relaxed. People tend to keep to themselves a lot more than other lines because of language barriers but I really enjoyed it.

The full transcanal transit will be two days.

@@MrBucketlist Tips for Travellers just vlogged a Virgin cruise that you may want to watch. I've been a Disney cruiser for many years prior to The Blip so I can give you a lot of tips there. Weekend cruises will have the most children and also when children are off school during holidays and summer. Disney does an excellent job of keeping the children busy in the children's clubhouses. The transatlantic crossings will have the fewest children, about 5% (only about a 100 children with 2000 adults!) The transatlantic crossings are the best value cruises on a per night basis. Disney Cruise Line is more entertainment focused rather than thrill rides onboard and expect a lot of character meet and greets and you may even see Sleepwalking Goofy wandering around the decks and stateroom corridors late at night. It is not a party cruise atmosphere. Dining is based on a rotation of the three Main Dining Rooms (MDRs) at specific early or late times. Most children are at the earlier dining time. There are one or two specialty dining restaurants for adults depending on the ship, Palo (Pa-lo is pronounced Pah-loh, rhymes with follow) on all four DCL ships and Remy on the Fantasy and Dream. Palo brunch buffet was always recommended but since The Blip, that has since returned with an a la carte menu instead. The brunch buffet was fantastic! There are no drink packages, but there is a daily drink of the day that was about $5+. Coffee, tea, juice, milk, fizzy drinks are all included in the cruise fare. You can bring your own bottle of alcohol. Adults have their own private adults-only Lido at Quiet Cove, with Cove Cafe that serves specialty coffees that are additional cost but they also have sweets throughout the day that are included. Service onboard is wonderful. Your dinner servers follow your MDR dining schedule throughout the cruise so they know learn preferences and if you enjoyed a dish at another MDR from a prior dinner, they can usually get it for you. On DCL's private Bahamian island, Castaway Cay, there is an adult section, Serenity Bay, which has its own BBQ which serves steak at lunch. Cookie's BBQs for the families do not serve steak. Onboard, there is an adult-only entertainment section but it is not very active because there are so many activities during the day, people are usually knackered by late evening. There are no casinos onboard, but they do have Bingo which I always recommend. Before The Blip, the finale cash prize was $5000 to $10000! The other Bingo games were $300-$500. I always recommend getting the electronic device package for best odds. I've won a couple of the smaller Bingo games and almost won a Blackout Bingo grand prize by one number! Look for last-minute cruise offers for Florida residents. Before The Blip, you could book the cheapest stateroom and upgrade at port and save 40%-50% on the upgrade, based on availability. The newest ship in the DCL fleet is being launched next year, the Disney Wish. Unfortunately, the fully wraparound Promenade Deck was eliminated (a feature on the current fleet and beloved by the RunDisney community) and the midship lifts were removed so there are only two sets of lifts instead of three. I do not plan to book a cruise on the Wish. I can provide more information if needed so you can fully enjoy a Disney cruise!

After working for them I expected them to have a certain level of service and it sounds like I won't be disappointed. This is a cruise I probably won't take solo, it'll be more of a romantic getaway and I'll make sure to go around the time of the less kids. Thanks again so much! Everything at MSC is cheaper than any other cruise line I've been on. I really enjoyed it, and that sounds like a good itinerary I would do. If the crowd levels are still low you should definitely enjoy it. Im on symphony of the seas right now and we passed by the Meraviglia and it was empty
