Really beginning to think Valve is in the right for not liking to do games that are the third mainline in a series. All I'm seeing here is a bunch of devs declaring that they are drifting further and further from what players loved about the first game, and have learned the WRONG lessons from the complaints about KF2. In some cases they are actively doubling down on things that noone liked in KF2. Like with their Scrake and Cyst Ideas, as well as being enthusiastic about designing maps full of spots to randomly spawn zeds from, as if the random zeds crawling out of every corner you weren't staring at in KF2 wasn't one of the most complained about aspects of it. Their idea for a scrake not only runs counter to it's intended design, but implies that they COMPLETELY IGNORED that nobody liked or thought the trapper was a good idea, as this scrake hook appears to be just a trapper on steroids. Then there is their idea of 'let's give cysts a ranged option' when their ENTIRE DESIGN CONCEPT was that they were useless trash that eats shots aimed at more dangerous zeds but also can't be ignored because they can halt player mobility. It sucks seeing pretty much every game series devolve into emphasizing flash over substance. Even things like their movement mechanics ideas run counter to what made the older games work. The older games were about managing checkpoints, but their new movement system means players no longer have to worry so much about their own positioning and where they choose to hold, because now there are more escape routes that are not clogged by enemies you'd have to cut a path through to get out. Then there is that mention of 'reviving a downed player' which is just a big NOPE from me. Someone getting into a COD zombies style 'last stand' thing doesn't make any sense, and isn't something that in any way enhances gameplay. It seriously feels like they have forgotten that what made KF work is that it WASN'T cod zombies. That it was a different approach to a similar concept, with it's own unique charms, but now it seems like they are just aping call of duty concepts. I miss the plodding, methodical dread and grindhouse artstyle of KF1. 2 was tolerable, but later on leaned too much into 'future-tech' sci-fi. Now 3 is going whole hog on that and in the process completely losing the series identity.
I think a prequel would be a good idea, take us back in time instead of the future. Show the beginning when zeds were first released, and the military and police still fighting them before they were all wiped out. With an origin story to explain the involvement of all the different groups.
Most movie or video games has cursed number 3. Rare that the 3rd game to be better than 1 and 2. Take a look at borderlands. 1 might be rough but it introduce you to the world, 2 is expanding that world and gave you the best villain. 3rd is just better gun play and everything else is dumped down, even legendary dropped like candy instead of something you earn from sheer luck and hard work. Or FEAR series, fear 1 is good. Fear 2 is ok but still have horror element, fear 3 just trying to be horror call of duty and it meh.
KF4 will have players running on walls, like Titanfall, maybe you will be able to call a mech too. Maybe they'll make it like Battlefield with 100 players vs 2 million Zeds. Wow, so epic!
Damn you really have high expectations if you think that could happend, i mean lots of people hate and still gonna hate this game before and after release but i dont think they get so committed to the cause.
I don't think anything will really bring KF1 back, if this bombs it will probably just bring people back to KF2. The main things I miss about KF1 was better Patriarch design, sharpshooter being better with pistols included, some really good maps and the game generally being harder.
For me, I'm concerned about the feel of weapons, KF2's guns were mo-capped which made them look and feel genuine, punchy and satisfying. But KF3's guns seem to be fictional because of the setting, which probably means they didn't mo-cap them because, well, they aren't real. So i hope the 'gun-feel' isn't a step down, and can match, if not exceed KF2. If not, that would be a big turn off for me personally
Its a disavantage making god animations for fictional weapons but I thing if tripwire would make the same kf1 or kf2 timeline and wepons and zeds, fanboys would hate for being the same, thats why tripwire try to change something with that
Yeah they make exceptional work with weapons in KF2,but in KF1 the weapons are also execptional despite the fact that they were made without a mocap, weapons are a pillar of the series after all.
*Another* game with Hero characters. At a certain point, all these games start to look the same, down to the main menus, monetization, traversal, but ultimately none of this will matter if the game is fun and doesn't become a second job.
Dude, I’m a freaking gun nut and I got to say I don’t feel like these weapons are grounded at all. I may be too autistic about guns to be speak for others, but I was hoping for weapon design like kf2 but with the ability to add different optics and grips and the standard fps stuff.
??? the guns in kf2 were TRASH. it's insane that people like you get to have an opinion on this matter. kf2 is the game that went away from what " killing floor " is as a game.. the guns were AWFUL
This feels like COD from the movement. The dashing, the mantle, the ziplines it just seems like cod zombies but a mixture of something like Warhammer Darktide. The guns are also REALLY ugly but I'm glad that they're adding what seems to be a shooting range so I can check if I actually will like the gun I'm spending my cold hard Dosh on
@@maboilaurence8227 100% agree it just feels like they're plucking everything from other FPS games instead of doing what's worked and what people love of the original games
@@maboilaurence8227 while Darktide is still perfecting itself, the game is already the top hack n slash horde shooter in this year. I highly doubt if KF3 getting better than Darktide
It does, probably because of the really stiff animations and character designs. But atleast this game "feels" like it knows what it wants than "Back 4 Bad"
@@DrQuagmire1 if Back 4 Blood "was playable and enjoyable" to you then you should not be allowed to have an opinion. Watch Crowbcats video on it if you need a reminder.
Honestly, one of the many reasons i liked kf2 is the characters and voice acting. If i hear one god damn mcu quip, im taking the disc outside, behind the shed, and putting it down.
me too... i played BL3 for instance multiple times and never use the stupid slide mechanic. it fundamentally doesn't belong in FPS games, it has no practical use.
I welcome the improved movement. I think that is pretty cool. As for the pre-alpha footage, I think their justification for that is to simply say "hey we actually are making this game we got a receipt". Probably also trying to drum up hype. I actually do love the zed designs and I think the game has potential. Really hoping it won't be a bad game, and I hope they don't go down the HRG alt route again...
One of my biggest gripes of KF 1 & 2 was small obstacles that look like you can jump over, but can't. Vaulting is 100% a good decision. The movement abilities in general makes sense given the new tools Zeds have. The combat is going to be a lot more active rather than holdout, which I like.
As someone who spend several years in KF2 I have to say I'm dissapointed classes are locked to characters, but 9:23 you actually can now upgrade Your wepaons with mods what gives mkre gameplay variety. Also, you have now not only 1 skilltree for class, but 3 skilltress. One for your class, one for your grenade/throwables, and one for your Ultimate. That alone was a Thing I always wanted in KF2, more skilltree & weapon deepth. That's been said, there will be only 6 classes at the launch of KF3, what is not enough for me. Overall, they de-evolved in certain aspects, but also evolved in other aspects. The best part is, You Aren't restricted on certain classes to get reload speed or for explosives, or fire Damage you literally can now add mods that give you a grenade launcher or flamethrower to several weapons of Choice you like.
i just hope the gunplay is satisfying, kf1 LAR is probably the most satisfying gun in all of videogaming and kf2 gunplay is the only reason I go back to it from time to time, hope they really dial it in to make it feel like a proper KF title
What is so difficult about making a good Killing Floor game, they have KF1 and KF2 to look back on and see what people liked and what they didn’t, features to improve and others to scrap. It’s almost like the devs have some ego or know it all attitude they can make something totally different and expect everyone to like it when the fans and even casuals are easy to please. If KF3 was just as gritty as KF1 with the gunplay and quick movement of KF2 it would likely be a hit, pretty simple
That's not their objective to make something the fans want or would enjoy. Tripwire is going for absolute mass appeal in order to make their money back and reinvest into the next project. They have always been doing this with their games. Bare minimum in order to make some quick buck, abandon the game and move on to the next one.
i think they need to get away from the battlefield 2042 specialist system… people didn’t like it there either and said in the next game they’d stop going in that direction. hope tripwire changes their mind and goes back to perks instead. they can still keep the skill tree stuff but with perks
Agreed. I'm honestly not seeing the reason or value to having specialists anyway. Wasn't that the whole purpose of perks...? If you want to blow things up, you play demo. Now if you want to blow things up, you play the Fortnite looking Muslim guy... 😂
Finally, the one and only Pathfinder! Also, I remember there was a PC Gamer article where they stated KF3 will have the weapons locked to their specific classes, but that was retracted in a more recent interview lmao. One thing that worries me, is the gore. It looks like all that comes out of enemies is blood splatters, no guts and giblets or chunks of meat anywhere on the floors or walls, just blood... And oh my gods, they made the Cyst look like a foreskin head and he spits. What do they mean by this? LMAO.
I look forward to seeing what the guns and their mods do in battle but also training. Im glad we see a proper training room for weapons. I understand this is pre-alpha so things will be subject to change or remain the same. I have hope for this
Baffling how many devs don't understand that weapon progression is a hinderance to co-op games which live and die by how easy it is to just unconditionally drop in and drop out. Despite its issues, Left 4 Dead got this right when so many successors have failed. I've not been impressed by anything I've seen so far, the focus on finding a broader audience tells you everything you need to know. I'll only buy it a few years down the line when it's inevitably on sale for a couple bucks.
I just read a news story in which they said that they are going to maintain the "specialists" system because they consider it to be the best for the game, I mean they wanted the fans' opinion and they don't even care. I don't know why I had hopes that they were going to change it, the only thing left to hope for is that the combat system is remarkable...
I will say i like that they added a movement option for other classes I genuinely did find it a little frustrating that a lot of the classes In killing floor 2 didn’t thrive due to what they lacked in possibly speed or other survivability. I get a doom eternal feeling seeing the gameplay and that sounds cool but I wonder about a few other things like classes having an obvious meta setup and not using any other perks. Or having a crutch class like medic being damn near essential to survival.
-"Our level design team has done a really fantastic job thinking about mobility when it comes to building these spaces ..." And he's talking about *ziplines* being the marvelous crutch to fix restrictions of verticality. Oh God...
This sounds kinda fun. A lot of customizations, like it. This makes the builds much more diverse. I do not care about the visuals, really, when you have a 100, a 1000 hours in such game you stop seeing meshes and brushes, you just feel the gameplay. And whether or not it’s good will make all the difference.
they should add a sort of special reward zed that like runs away or only reveals himself for a short duration and if you kill it you get something like bonus xp or after-match-rewards
That's pretty lame that they said shotguns are just shotguns. They could've let us pick tighter spreads, wider spreads, or horizontally widened spreads with barrel chokes. Of course, there's also numerous types of shotgun ammo: buckshot, birdshot, or slugs all the way to dragon's breath, flechettes, or explosives. Bolo shells would've been sick, too. It could've behaved like a melee weapon when it hit.
What they meant by that is that a shotgun will always be a shotgun, in the sense that you can't turn it into an AR or Sniper rifle. They literally stated that there are barrels (and I assume muzzles) that affect spread, and also they have different ammo types. I can assume buckshot, slugs and dragon's breath will be in the game but I have doubts on Frag rounds, birdshot and flechette (the latter two are fundamentally just different buckshot).
No onscreen crosshair is still what makes Killing Floor special. I feel the closest to shooting real firearms within this game because of it. Limitations are key to opening doors to possibilities in art, design, gaming, etc. It's conceptually counterintuitive. Stupidly simple, yet somehow profoundly impactful. It has to be felt to be understood. Additionally, the soundtrack's importance in boosting excitement is an often underestated element in KF as well, imo. I look at this as an update, and I'm not expecting it to innovate significantly. I don't believe it it needs to. All that's necessary is a revamping of the game tech for the current era. The formula works, and this is clearly just a modernization it. If there's any innovation to be had, the community will probably make it happen via modding. The wall crawlers are a nice addition. I'm actually surprised that didn't exist already.
It looks pretty polished for "pre-alpha". I highly doubt that much will change between now and release. I still think the game will be fun but i fully expect to return to kf2 from time to time
Who needs skillful positioning and gamesense, when we can just copy paste zoomer shooter movement so it doesn't matter if you're caught out of position, you can just use a movement ability to get away for free! This kind of dumbing-down of games needs to stop. Stop appealing to the lowest common denominator.
What's fucking wrong, when your movement improves and you have more options then just sprinting? It will good for gameplay, when you have much less situations, when zeds just bumping you. Now you can escape, win some time for yourself to reload, heal and back the fight. Jesus christ, stop whining and think about aportunities we get
For real, this mentality amongst developers is so common now. They see something successful in another game and try to straight up copy and paste it to lure the brainlets in. They're probably hoping that when some of those Fortnite kiddies hit puberty, they'll come over and buy all the Mrs Foster skins.
So what I think it's cool. Kf is following the modern times. We will have new players to the game but they need mode for all perks to choose no matter which character you play and perk hero mode.
Things i like : - Zeds look cool, they fly, walk on the walls, more threat! :) - Destroyable environnement so it mean that the map will change through the game. Maps look nice too. - Upgrades are very interesting, finally we have the possibility to change attachments, the red dots and everything on the weapon. - I don't see any Edars in the zeds. Things i don't like : - Dash, - Specialists perks, - Caracters design of the heros, - Weapons animation and design which really make me think it's taken from Call Of Duty and Apex. - Gameplay look too slow
animations do still need a lot of work but I like what they are cooking and personally I dont mind specialist as long as its not too restrictive. Nostalgia is not always good.
KF2 made things a lot easier because you have the option to run away and escape enemies and kite them easier with the sprinting. I hope the zeds movement will keep up if there's so many mobility options.
The new movement options restored some of my faith, sliding is always a plus for me. I also like the implementation of a "hub" just as a space where you can test weapons and loadout and shop options are just good QoL changes. Like weapon mods, didn't know they'd include underbarrel grenade launchers so now if you want that feature you don't have to get the one gun with it, wouldn't say no to flamethrower attachment. Wasn't on board with the leap in time and the subsequent weapon design, but it also looks like they drew more inspiration from modern firearms than I thought. Seems like we'll at least have a MP5/ SCAR/ other "like" weapons which isn't a bad compromise. Honestly, the only thing I hate is the regulation of characters to specific specializations.
The best part is that there are seemingly less invisible walls on trucks and other higher up places and you can actually climb up. that was so annoying and confusing in kf2
I don't know what its going to happen to Killing floor franchise and I don't have to much faith, but if Killing floor 3 helps your channel to grow, that's fine with me. you are an amazing content creator. lest hope killing floor 3 bring you a lot of subs and views.
I still agree, with all your points. I'll add that between DRM, and Unreal 5, this game is going to launch rough. I'm still confused about their progression system, around what used to be perks. I really don't want to get stuck playing, the dollar store General version of a fortnight character, in order to use a Firebug. Odd, they seem to dance around that....
I've been watching you for years reguarding KF news and like how honest you are. On that note i feel like I'm going to use your videos for KF 3 because it's starting to feel like a Payday 3 situation where the devs "know better" then the community. Hopefully Tripwire trys to listen to the community before it becomes another Back 4 Blood situation.
I do hate a lot of what they are doing but I gotta admit the movement looks fun. It's barebones sure but kiting zeds at least looks like it'll be more fun than ever.
honestly it looks pretty good. Since its pre alpha, i honestly wont judge much on how it looks. The new added mechanic is pretty great too like mantle and stuff. The only thing weird is they made fleshpound too thin, like hes very much not fleshy
dude I was so hyped but like Im reading many comments here the same thoughs like me: Every new video I saw, the game looks more awfull. Not a fan of how the hero shooter router and too sci fi feeling. I hope they will heard the community. Killing Floor doesnt move millions like cod, its a niche community and if you betray them to catch people who probably wont like it, you will lose your fanbase.
100% agree! Honestly I’m not happy with the stripping of player choice. Hopefully they at least keep the berserker class cause that’s my main and they already got rid of demolitionist
@@REX-7-0-7 You mean people with a brain activity higher than a plant. I'm sorry mate but EU2 suck ass and I've played enough of KF 1 and 2. I need something bigger, badder and faster.
Honestly, I'm kinda worried. So far it is looking really rough. The weapon upgrade system is just gonna make farming servers more popular than ever. The Specialists are a big fumble, and even the animations still look snappy and unrefined. They didn't have to do us dirty like this.
The whole thing is looking like a mobile game. The feel of the game, the movements-it doesn't look like it's going at 60 fps like a mobile bootleg, Call of Duty Did you catch how he said get over to your friend and revive them so your friend is down and, like in Call of Duty, you revive them? That's dumb when somebody's dead; they should be dead until next round 5:51 Yet another way the game will be easier
So far, ngl, the only things that are most concerning to me is the guns, they lack loudness and impact if it makes any sense, or as PF said, they feel stiff. And the whole specialist business. I do like movement for both players and the zeds, and maps design, the more interactive the more fun. Hopefully objective mode maps too.
if gears of war 5 reverted them in horde mode, tripwire should do the same. they'll probably regret it. forcing characters into classes = limited player model option = less generated income not forcing characters into classes = unlimited player model option = higher generated income it's almost like they picked the losing option out of spite, instead of picking the win-win option where everyone is happy.
Gameplay looks way better with the new zed attacks and mobility, that's all I care about. Dgaf about the specialist thing tbh. The hero designs look fine except for the cartoony girl boss chick
Idk why people are mad. This shit sounds gas. wtf guys. The only thing I think looks bad is what you stated: The clunkiness. Movement needs refined and the zeds need to actually reel back when you shoot them. One of em deadass looked like they did the RuneScape death animation after dying lmao
Now imagine new zed gore system in kf1's grind-house grungy aesthetic, one can dream right? Will be interesting to see if there perk skills alongside specialist specific ones *SIGH*
There's honestly so much negativity surrounding the game. Not saying a lot of it isn't warranted, but I do think this game has great potential even if some design choices are questionable. I'm still optimistic.
Alfa in kf2: looks good, need only some polishing and content Alfa in kf3: not done, very clunky, need more time on proper animation, sound Well, at least team working on monsters still the same, they still adding very cool stuff every game
damn never seen a direction of a game go that badly into a soulless cashgrab, if this was their original idea of what kf shoud've been then i'm glad they only made it possible in 3.
To be honest the game doesn't look THAT bad, not every game needs to look 10/10 realistic but it doesn't look terrible. I also like being able to customize a weapon cause I don't really like having a weapon with no attachments or preset attachments that you can't change, just hope it isn't like COD where we have 50 scopes that look and do the same thing.
The new perk system. Less than desirable. I'm gonna wait till actual release. At the end of the day, it's about shooting the zeds and how that feels. Also how they handle monetization.
The enhanced movement is kind of killing it for me. You have these seemingly intense, realistic settings (especially with the new graphics) but immersion amd tension is broken when you slide, mantle, and bunny hop before shooting a horzine computer to get resources to put a sight on your gun before next round. I feel like your gonna have to avoid several game mechanics if you want the game to be atmospheric/grounded Edit: Also the dashing is a terrible idea overall. Free, unearned movement that makes sense it a high speed game like Doom but not in what should be a slower paced game like kf3
I remember when I first bought kf1 and that dark feeling from the artsy style of the game hit just right. This looks like they’ve went full cod and ditched all their original IP for flashy BS no one cares about.
Still no stalker or siren🤨 Or any new zeds. 🧐 The new movement system is kinda nice tho. Also hope for that good Objective mode with this game And the new gore is fantastic like beening able to shoot off limbs with out killing them. Kind like in cod zombies and that doom eternal gore system. Love that.
I hate how they still call KF3 “survival horror” when it isn’t, it now a power fantasy like Doom (no offense). When your given so many powers and abilities to defeat enemies and easily get out of situations, it loses the horror aspect.
I'm hearing a lot of the same complaints about this game that we're levied at KF2 when it was being released. "Why not just do KF1 but again?" I.E. "Why won't you guys let me stay in my comfort zone?" Remember when Portal 2 was in development and people found out GLaDOS wasn't going to be in it and it was going to be all about a new character named Cave Johnson, so they threw an enormous shit fit? It was so effective that Valve caved and shoehorned GLaDOS in which meant they had to cut a lot of CJ content. So, goal achieved, right? The fans whined, the devs listened, the fans got what they wanted, another victory for community efforts. Here's the catch; turns out everybody LOVED Cave Johnson. "Give us more Cave Johnson! What a funny cool character! Awesome!" The moral is that once upon a time, Killing Floor didn't exist, and somebody had to come up with the idea and bring it to you. You people need to learn to trust the process again. Maybe it's the case that the devs will produce a game that you don't like, or maybe it's the case that the game will become a beloved member of your steam library. Just maybe, the game that will become your alltime favorite game, is a game that you've never heard of yet. It's painful to allow yourself to trust again, but if you don't, you get halfbaked games like what you imagine KF3 will be, torn between the vision of the devs and the comfort zone demanded by the fans.

But KF3's guns seem to be fictional because of the setting, which probably means they didn't mo-cap them because, well, they aren't real. So i hope the 'gun-feel' isn't a step down, and can match, if not exceed KF2. If not, that would be a big turn off for me personally
Its a disavantage making god animations for fictional weapons but I thing if tripwire would make the same kf1 or kf2 timeline and wepons and zeds, fanboys would hate for being the same, thats why tripwire try to change something with that
Yeah they make exceptional work with weapons in KF2,but in KF1 the weapons are also execptional despite the fact that they were made without a mocap, weapons are a pillar of the series after all.
honeslty the new zeds look like discount models that didnt pass the quality control to be included in doom
Same.
??? the guns in kf2 were TRASH. it's insane that people like you get to have an opinion on this matter. kf2 is the game that went away from what " killing floor " is as a game.. the guns were AWFUL
@@charger2991 The guns were well animated though...everything here is just nonsensical sci fi crap.
@HandleNameIsStupid "oh no originality" 🤡
@@charger2991the early guns were great it's when they lost their talented animator they went to shit
This feels like COD from the movement. The dashing, the mantle, the ziplines it just seems like cod zombies but a mixture of something like Warhammer Darktide. The guns are also REALLY ugly but I'm glad that they're adding what seems to be a shooting range so I can check if I actually will like the gun I'm spending my cold hard Dosh on
If KF 3 is gonna be like that, no thanks I’ll stick to Darktide
No way in hell this game's movement system is as smooth as Darktide lmao, it looks so clunky.
@@maboilaurence8227 100% agree it just feels like they're plucking everything from other FPS games instead of doing what's worked and what people love of the original games
The marketing department is having too much weight in the creation of this game.
@@maboilaurence8227 while Darktide is still perfecting itself, the game is already the top hack n slash horde shooter in this year. I highly doubt if KF3 getting better than Darktide
This reminds me of back for blood for some reason
It does, probably because of the really stiff animations and character designs. But atleast this game "feels" like it knows what it wants than "Back 4 Bad"
HEY, at least "Back 4 Blood" was playable and enjoyable
Because they were WAY too ambitious and flew too close to the sun?
@@DrQuagmire1 Lol
@@DrQuagmire1 if Back 4 Blood "was playable and enjoyable" to you then you should not be allowed to have an opinion. Watch Crowbcats video on it if you need a reminder.
Honestly, one of the many reasons i liked kf2 is the characters and voice acting. If i hear one god damn mcu quip, im taking the disc outside, behind the shed, and putting it down.
I’m honestly getting annoyed at how many games are forcing sliding/dashing for no reason. It’s never useful, especially against ai enemies
me too... i played BL3 for instance multiple times and never use the stupid slide mechanic. it fundamentally doesn't belong in FPS games, it has no practical use.
I think for here DASHING specifically is useful kinda look doom especially with the way husk and scrakes work
Love paths videos, the only youtuber I enjoy watching and doesn't have a fake personality. Keep on going path
Ay thanks
I'm happy to see this. Killing Floor has been my Jam since the beginning!
Brah, especially the gun animations, they look like shooting a toy gun!
The gun adding is cool tho
@@caje-nater5434 what is gun adding? If you're talking about adding attachments to guns, yeah that looks pretty cool actually
One of my biggest gripes of KF 1 & 2 was small obstacles that look like you can jump over, but can't.
Vaulting is 100% a good decision. The movement abilities in general makes sense given the new tools Zeds have. The combat is going to be a lot more active rather than holdout, which I like.
The weapon upgrades sound good. But I can't help but think they're gonna have microtransactions associated with it somehow
Weapon blueprints I'd assume, from a business standpoint it's smart, personally not for me.
Maybe not with the ingame ones that are in the main game but 100% i can see them throw more in as dlc
Kf2 had weapons behind a paywall.
We love you despite the poo poo Pathfinder dw
At this point its kinda part of the channel haha :)
The best part is, You Aren't restricted on certain classes to get reload speed or for explosives, or fire Damage you literally can now add mods that give you a grenade launcher or flamethrower to several weapons of Choice you like.
each preview lowers my hype further and further
i liked it when the game made feel like i am a sole survivor in the middle of apocalypse
i just hope the gunplay is satisfying, kf1 LAR is probably the most satisfying gun in all of videogaming and kf2 gunplay is the only reason I go back to it from time to time, hope they really dial it in to make it feel like a proper KF title
Ngl the game looks like every other game. Kind of sad as I was hyped for KF3. First red flag was them not listening to the community
liek what games does it look like?
Just the way it looks. I remember Kf2 kind of being distinct with its animations. But the guns and reloads look generic, along with the recoil.
As long the game play is solid and it's not poorly optimized, looks fine
The more i see about KF3, the more pissed off i get
Dont worry, for kf2 was the same kf1 tards hate all
What is so difficult about making a good Killing Floor game, they have KF1 and KF2 to look back on and see what people liked and what they didn’t, features to improve and others to scrap. It’s almost like the devs have some ego or know it all attitude they can make something totally different and expect everyone to like it when the fans and even casuals are easy to please. If KF3 was just as gritty as KF1 with the gunplay and quick movement of KF2 it would likely be a hit, pretty simple
I get pissed seeing negative motherfuckers like you everywhere
That's not their objective to make something the fans want or would enjoy.
Tripwire is going for absolute mass appeal in order to make their money back and reinvest into the next project.
They have always been doing this with their games. Bare minimum in order to make some quick buck, abandon the game and move on to the next one.
Sadly, we are not the target audience anymore.
i think they need to get away from the battlefield 2042 specialist system… people didn’t like it there either and said in the next game they’d stop going in that direction. hope tripwire changes their mind and goes back to perks instead. they can still keep the skill tree stuff but with perks
Agreed. I'm honestly not seeing the reason or value to having specialists anyway. Wasn't that the whole purpose of perks...? If you want to blow things up, you play demo. Now if you want to blow things up, you play the Fortnite looking Muslim guy... 😂
NO PREORDERS WAIT UNTIL IT'S OUT
Finally, the one and only Pathfinder!
I have hope for this
You can finally juke zombies. No need to retreat, you can sli pthroough the gaps.
''we need to make guns feel more powerful than ever'' makes all guns sound like nailguns
Man the alpha footage looks stiff
In what way?
It's an alpha no duh...wtf?
You don't say
@@johnboog4437 Well, comparing it with KF2 alpha footage I say it lacks the fluidity of movement from the zeds.
@@johnboog4437 for me its the animations, they look laggy and cheap..
I just read a news story in which they said that they are going to maintain the "specialists" system because they consider it to be the best for the game, I mean they wanted the fans' opinion and they don't even care. I don't know why I had hopes that they were going to change it, the only thing left to hope for is that the combat system is remarkable...
the best way to make their game usable in a blunt roll. rip bozo, rip kf3. smoked.
Is it just me or do the gameplay and graphics resemble Back for Blood?
The more I see of the gameplay of the 3rd part - the less I want to play it! What are these futuristic weapons? I was hoping for realistic ones!
Ditto...they went full on Doom Eternal and I hated both those games...total snooze fest compared to OG doom with mods.
@@HandleNameIsStupidawful opinion
-"Our level design team has done a really fantastic job thinking about mobility when it comes to building these spaces ..."
And he's talking about *ziplines* being the marvelous crutch to fix restrictions of verticality.
I would assume that the shotgun weapon mods would include spread.
@@Slenderneer Hope so, man. Made me think they didn't care to research shotguns.
They'd rather tape a flamethrower to it.
Really like what they did here. Don´t understand the hate.
you're likely a tourist, you wouldn't understand without the context of the previous games
@@cralo2569 Played both games a lot and liked the style as well.
at this point crafting sounds like a joke
Things i like :
- Zeds look cool, they fly, walk on the walls, more threat! :)
- Destroyable environnement so it mean that the map will change through the game. Maps look nice too.
- Upgrades are very interesting, finally we have the possibility to change attachments, the red dots and everything on the weapon.
- I don't see any Edars in the zeds.
Things i don't like :
- Dash,
- Specialists perks,
- Caracters design of the heros,
- Weapons animation and design which really make me think it's taken from Call Of Duty and Apex.
- Gameplay look too slow
Upgrading the gun are cool in my eyes
animations do still need a lot of work but I like what they are cooking and personally I dont mind specialist as long as its not too restrictive. Nostalgia is not always good.
Pathfinder, I'm suprised you didn't mention the reloads, I think they look great!
KF2 made things a lot easier because you have the option to run away and escape enemies and kite them easier with the sprinting. I hope the zeds movement will keep up if there's so many mobility options.
They definitely will, it looks like a lot of zeds have been given decent range too
The new movement options restored some of my faith, sliding is always a plus for me.
Hopefully everything is well-made/full of little detail in kf3....just like the love they put into kf2!
There has to be a story mode, if there isn't a story mode it will be the same thing, so it's better to stay in both.
You guys are "beatching" too much, let'em cook
Reported... To the BASED department
Cook what?? A good Killing Floor game?
I don't know what its going to happen to Killing floor franchise and I don't have to much faith, but if Killing floor 3 helps your channel to grow, that's fine with me. you are an amazing content creator. lest hope killing floor 3 bring you a lot of subs and views.
so KF3 is feeling like Doom Eternal, which i'm ok with it
I still agree, with all your points.
Shame the game is already at a rough point
I've been watching you for years reguarding KF news and like how honest you are. On that note i feel like I'm going to use your videos for KF 3 because it's starting to feel like a Payday 3 situation where the devs "know better" then the community. Hopefully Tripwire trys to listen to the community before it becomes another Back 4 Blood situation.
The weapon upgrade shit is just gonna devolve into "The meta".
I do hate a lot of what they are doing but I gotta admit the movement looks fun. It's barebones sure but kiting zeds at least looks like it'll be more fun than ever.
I miss killing floor 1 so much
you have too much nostalgia
honestly it looks pretty good.
Looks like a revamp COD Zombies
The game looks great Idk what you guys are on about. You Want the old one ? It's still there.
All you see is a bunch of KF1 widows throwing hissy fits because they wanted a remake and not a sequel.
Yeah this game was made for you guys "new audiences"
It's still months away. It'll go through a lot of polishing before release
People who mad about dash and slide play killing floor 2 that will help alot to life
So far, ngl, the only things that are most concerning to me is the guns, they lack loudness and impact if it makes any sense, or as PF said, they feel stiff. And the whole specialist business. I do like movement for both players and the zeds, and maps design, the more interactive the more fun. Hopefully objective mode maps too.
Specialists gonna straight up kill this game
if gears of war 5 reverted them in horde mode, tripwire should do the same. they'll probably regret it.
forcing characters into classes = limited player model option = less generated income
not forcing characters into classes = unlimited player model option = higher generated income
it's almost like they picked the losing option out of spite, instead of picking the win-win option where everyone is happy.
This is more Doom than KF..
There's honestly so much negativity surrounding the game. Not saying a lot of it isn't warranted, but I do think this game has great potential even if some design choices are questionable. I'm still optimistic.
They're making Doom: Horde Mode. Also giant zeds to challenge armor is silly, just the wrong direction to go with zed design.
Alfa in kf2: looks good, need only some polishing and content
Alfa in kf3: not done, very clunky, need more time on proper animation, sound
Well, at least team working on monsters still the same, they still adding very cool stuff every game
I'm still gonna play it, but... probably for like an hour.
damn never seen a direction of a game go that badly into a soulless cashgrab, if this was their original idea of what kf shoud've been then i'm glad they only made it possible in 3.
how I feel about this game is 25/75
not liking some ideas they are doing but liking everything else
To be honest the game doesn't look THAT bad, not every game needs to look 10/10 realistic but it doesn't look terrible. I also like being able to customize a weapon cause I don't really like having a weapon with no attachments or preset attachments that you can't change, just hope it isn't like COD where we have 50 scopes that look and do the same thing.
I only read hate comments 😢 i love kf3 and cant wait to play it 😮
The new perk system. Less than desirable. I'm gonna wait till actual release. At the end of the day, it's about shooting the zeds and how that feels. Also how they handle monetization.
Not ever game will be the same for every one
The enhanced movement is kind of killing it for me. You have these seemingly intense, realistic settings (especially with the new graphics) but immersion amd tension is broken when you slide, mantle, and bunny hop before shooting a horzine computer to get resources to put a sight on your gun before next round. I feel like your gonna have to avoid several game mechanics if you want the game to be atmospheric/grounded
Edit: Also the dashing is a terrible idea overall.
Still no stalker or siren🤨
Or any new zeds. 🧐
The new movement system is kinda nice tho. Also hope for that good Objective mode with this game
And the new gore is fantastic like beening able to shoot off limbs with out killing them. Kind like in cod zombies and that doom eternal gore system.
Love that.
idk, they should js add jetpacks and give the cyst mp5 at this point
I hate how they still call KF3 “survival horror” when it isn’t, it now a power fantasy like Doom (no offense). When your given so many powers and abilities to defeat enemies and easily get out of situations, it loses the horror aspect.
I'm hearing a lot of the same complaints about this game that we're levied at KF2 when it was being released. "Why not just do KF1 but again?" I.E. "Why won't you guys let me stay in my comfort zone?"
Remember when Portal 2 was in development and people found out GLaDOS wasn't going to be in it and it was going to be all about a new character named Cave Johnson, so they threw an enormous shit fit? It was so effective that Valve caved and shoehorned GLaDOS in which meant they had to cut a lot of CJ content. So, goal achieved, right? The fans whined, the devs listened, the fans got what they wanted, another victory for community efforts. Here's the catch; turns out everybody LOVED Cave Johnson. "Give us more Cave Johnson! What a funny cool character! Awesome!"
The moral is that once upon a time, Killing Floor didn't exist, and somebody had to come up with the idea and bring it to you. You people need to learn to trust the process again. Maybe it's the case that the devs will produce a game that you don't like, or maybe it's the case that the game will become a beloved member of your steam library. Just maybe, the game that will become your alltime favorite game, is a game that you've never heard of yet. It's painful to allow yourself to trust again, but if you don't, you get halfbaked games like what you imagine KF3 will be, torn between the vision of the devs and the comfort zone demanded by the fans.
i'd trust pre-2013 valve, but not modern tripwire. tripwire are not to be trusted. they have lied before. i don't trust their process.
Need to Rent a Nasa PC for this
PF would you ever try the ScrN balance pack for KF1? It's the only mod that keeps me playing.
