yeah i biffed a whole weekend trip by changing the settings on my gopros sound. I was able to salvage it but I was not happy with myself. For my only multicam video I did have some mistakes, but this was before your tutorial on multicam, I followed your instructions on multicam with a video game of all things
The audio sync issue makes the video difficult to watch, and like you said, even television shows make that mistake. I painstakingly work on this one when using multi-cams. And I’m with ya on the Alvin Chipmunk audio too 🐿️
Oh man, THAT'S a great tip! That's enough to click off a video too [and if I ever do it on either one of my channels, let me know - I try my darnedest to equalize everything when using multiple cameras]
Camera settings are very important. You did leave out one real important thing. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A CARD IN THE CAMERA. I once shot about 10 min's of 2 Armadillos playing in the yard. Armadillos aren't native here and I don't see them often. They were chasing each other around the yard. Ran circles around me standing there filming. One even came up to sniff my sandals, and I put my hand out so it could sniff it to. After they left the yard, I went into the house and there was the memory card hanging out of the memory card slot on my computer. I didn't get that video.
@CreatorReality, I'm not saying you do these. I'm just referencing things that annoy me and things that make me click off videos. My biggest pet peeve is improper language and use of words/phrases like: 1. People adding 'out' to words: testing 'out,' planning 'out.' camping 'out,' etc.. It's simply camping, testing, planning. IDK WTH adding out to words came from, but it is MAJORLY ANNOYING. 2. People who say: these 'ones' and those 'ones.' It's these and those...PERIOD! 3. People incorrectly and overly using 'literally.' Ex: "it's like literally the best I've ever had." Simply: 'it's the best I've ever had.' 4. People using 'totally' instead of 'completely.' Ex: "I totally get it," when it should be: "I completely understand." 5. People using 'super' incorrectly. Ex: "it's super, super warm," when it should be: "it's really warm." 6. People who use 'like' repeatedly. This should be self-explanatory?! 7. People who continuously use the word 'guys' in their videos. Ex: "hi guys." "Welcome back guys." "Look at this guys." Etc., etc., etc.. 8. People who say: "Where I'm at." It's 'where I am.' 9. People who say: "I've got," "we've got" or some derivative of those phrases. It's 'I have' or 'we have' I've and we've is a conjunction of 'I have'/'we have' and adding 'got' is improper. The long form of that is: 'I have got' or 'we have got' which is not only improper, it's incorrect and sounds stoopid (misspelled due to YT censors). Good oratory is just as important and good video, and when creators use improper language and grammar it DRIVES ME NUTS!...like totally! (I had to!) The lack of proper grammar and the abhorrent misuse of the English language is completely dreadful, and it ruins videos.
Can you say it louder for those in the back? You know, the ones on their phones, not paying attention? [yes, I realized I used "ones" there]. This is completely something I feel your pain on! I know I use some of those grammatical mistakes in my typing and speech - but only occasionally. I prefer proper speech. Blame the Valley Girl speak of the 80s and 90s... these days, kids just lop off whole syllables and expect you to know what they mean, and it drives me nuts! Kids say "sus" instead of "suspect", ugh. And "no cap" is "no lie", but it doesn't even save a single letter OR syllable! I do try to stay away from saying "you guys" or "hey guys", but I know I slip up from time to time. I prefer "my friend" or "my friends" - it's both non-gender specific AND something you don't see in most videos. All that said, thanks for watching & sharing what ticks YOU off - that's important stuff for people to know!
@@CreatorReality1, should I re-type it in all CAPS for those ones in the back? 😂🤣😂🤣 BTW, as a fellow Resolve editor, I really enjoy your videos. Keep up the great work! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
If you're referring to when I pointed to point viewers to the Multicam tutorial... it's there, or at least YT says it is... so I'm not sure what's going on.
Sure! Just drag your clip up one track, then go to your Effects library > Generators and drag a Solid Color Generator down into the open space beneath your clip. Change the color using the Inspector, and you're all set!
I will admit that the audio and mouth movement not matching up can drive me crazy sometimes 😎👍
As someone who is hard of hearing and does a fair bit of lip reading... it's enough for me to turn the video or TV show off.

Oh wow, that sucks! I never change settings before a trip, it's just asking for trouble. :D

Thanks, man - glad I'm not alone! :D
Not forgetting the old chestnut: not keeping a consistent audio level throughout... I _really_ hate that one.

I've not noticed it on your channels, no worries there.
@@throttle_up Thanks! I'm hard of hearing, so it makes it more difficult to ensure the audio is as perfect as I can make it.
I hate it when I see people say there is a video up in the corner and there isn't. :)
Did that happen here? Sometimes YT fails to display the info cards... it's an oddity I haven't figured out yet.

Oh man, I'm sorry to hear that! That's a great tip... Might have to be in a video called "before you go recording ..." or something :D

#9 - When a guy points to a video he mentions, and forgets to put the info card in the YT upload. ;-)

@@CreatorReality1 - Interesting. You pointed twice, and there was no info card on my screen. I just had to give you a hard time.
@@DeweyRides Weird! I counted 3 info cards in YT Studio... no idea why they wouldn't show up for ya!
Can you explain how to put a solid color generator behind something?

Alvin?
BINGO! You got it! And, thanks for watching! :D
