    yes old, but also looks functional, sturdy. I think they have their own charm, the Bauhaus style is function must come before form, and if implemented well, the functional look works well. I agree with it, it looks sturdy and well built, a computer should be functional before it is fashionable, unlike macs, which look nice, but are cheaply made, and break easily, and are stupidly priced for poor hardware and an indifferent OS.

    Thinkpads may appear to look weak and cheap, but if you break down the actual structure and design of the units, you'll see that they are in fact built quite well. Take for example the honey comb lid designs, only now being duplicated by others (like Mac), has been used by Thinkpads for the past 10yrs. Same goes for their so called uni-body struture. This is NOTHING new to a Thinkpad! They may not be edgy and cool, but they're nothing short of cutting edge! PS: I sold my Mac for a Lenovo.
