We're mentioning people because it's fan appreciation week, we've been doing this for a year now and we couldn't have done it without you guys! The shout outs are a thank you. UMADBRO?
I agree that Disneyland/World are pricey, but you kind of get what you pay for. As long as you bring your own food and drink into the park, and you pick the right day, you'll easily get your money's worth from admission. It's not cheap, but Elliott is right, the experience of a day at a Disney park is unlike any other place. -Steve
Holy crap has it been a year already? I remember when sourcefed was just an idea Phil was telling the nation about! Love what you guys do, you brighten up my day for sure! Got my signed sourcefed poster proudly hung on my wall next to my master sword, and I tell all my friends and co-workers to check you out! Keep up the great work, and to many more years my good friends!
Great back and forth, and you two both offered a nice contrast of opinions on the dinsey movie. Not an overly important story, and you still made it a good watch. Well done Steve and the guy every has to double check the spelling of his first name before writing...be honest, everyone has to double check...El...Elliot...Elliott, boom, got it.
Being that I have never heard of this before now, and it is 9 months later, I don't think there is much to worry about. Walt Disney World is an amazing place. Thank you guys for upholding the integrity of those of us who work there trying to make it a great place.
In love with your representation of Carousel of Progress! Also, from ex-castmember to ex-castmember, Elliot, you totally got the Disney way about perfection for the guest totally correct! :D
I work at Disney currently and I'm actually more curious about what kind of camera they were able to sneak in. I mean if they shot it on a D-SLR or camcorder it totally makes sense, but larger equipment would totally give them away, entering the parks in small groups or not.
Desperately wanted to go to Disney as a child, but we could never afford it. Took my kids, ages 13 - 5, for spring break last year and they did not want to leave. Any time the word vacation is mentioned, they say they wish we would go again, maybe for a longer stay. Elliot's right about them working to make it a good experience. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. My kids loved it, they came away with great memories, and that's all that really matters to me.
I agree. Disney makes the experience of being at the park "magical". I absolutely love the atmosphere and the people who work there. They are genuinely nice.
I actually work at Disney World :) tomorrowland speedway and space mountain. Love my job and all the friends I've gained because of it. Thanks Elliot for pointing out how hard we try to keep everyone happy. Also can you do the perfect cast? Heard goofy people can..
I love this channel it my only news source because they know how to keep it entertaining unlike all of the other news channels with people reading the news with one monotone voice thanks sourcefed!
It's been my dream since forever to work at Disney as an adult, it is my dream job. In 15 years I have been to Disney World 15 times already (trips averaging 7-9 days... on time for 14 days) (not including Disneyland once, 3 Disney Cruises, and 5 trips to Disney's Hilton Head Island resort) I can honestly say I love Disney more than anything, and it upsets me for someone to create such a movie taking place in such a beloved place of mine, at least make it a fictional park. It's disrespectful
I think this concept is fantastic. It shows that Disney World isn't the happiest place on Earth. My TV Production teacher is an ex-Disney employee and has told my class countless stories about "bad Disney." There are several kidnappings and violent crimes every year in Disney theme parks without public knowledge. He also told us that when on a field trip, a student of his was under surveillance for 16 hours before being approached by a Disney "agent" for stealing a hat. I want to see this movie!
I used to talk to employees from Disney when working on their phones. I always spoke with different people, but they were always ridiculously happy. Their happiness was literally contagious. I felt better after talking to them. They made me want to be a nicer person, right up until I got the next screaming customer. I wish I had the Disney zen.
Since the introduction of The Pirates of the Caribbean Disney has started to produce some darker and darker movies, not mention alot of their cartoons have had some real dark over tunes. I think that this movie will see the light of day only to create more of a buzz for Disney. but as soon as they have gotten what they can they will kill it, and the only way to get it will be through underground sources and back alley deals.
I commented once. Never got noticed. I commented twice. Never got noticed. 13ish times later and realize I'm very well noticed. Who am I? Miguel! And Miguel now realized he's been noticed by you! :) peace out like a girl scout!
I dont even get how he managed to film this, when I was taking a photo with Meekakitty after the anaheim dialup tour event, the guards told us to get off disney property because taking photos with public figures not belonging to disney is apparently against their policy.
I went to disneyworld when i was a kid and i was not all that impressed. And it rained a couple times when me and my family where there in the park. I want to go back there and see if i still have the same feeling.
I love that you guys are giving us a shout out! I hope one day it could be me!! I will make sure to watch all the videos from here out to make sure I don't miss my name! I know this sounds assey but I am totally serious right now! THANK ME PLEASE!!!!
If u work at Disney you can't point anywhere. An employee was helping someone get somewhere so he pointed in that direction. Turns out a lady thought he was pointing at her got mad and complained he got fired and pointing was banned
Please will you shout out to my brother Nat Crawley, we have both been fans for a long time and he even bought me a Source Fed poster for Christmas because he's the best! You guys rock, keep up the good work! :)
I agree with Elliot. I also worked for Disney not too long ago. You would think I hate the whole place and stuff but no, I actually appreciate the cast and the work they do to give the public what they want. Guests and people who have never been involved with Disney would never be able to see the good side of Disney although, like Elliott said, it's not the greatest job in the world but you do get to have fun and you appreciate life just a bit more.
I'm reserving judgement until I have seen the film. cant find a torrent yet but im interested in it to see where it goes. just because the premise doesnt sound like it pokes fun at corporate disney doesnt mean the content itself wont. Blindness was a study of how easy a society collapses but the short premise is about a woman who pretends to be blind to take care of her blind husband.
I looked on Pirate Bay and I found nothing. What's more I also got soaking wet, lost at sea for two days, kidnapped by some somalians, and the whole trip cost me a fortune!
I don't know the exact reason, but my best guess is that most, if not all, of SourceFed's videos are only about 3-7 minutes long. So it doesn't make a lot of sense to say "20 minutes or less" when the majority of the videos aren't even 10 minutes long.
I would have preferred if it were a documentary that would have made more sense to sneak in unnoticed and get real footage of what goes on in the parks
thats because oct 11 is the official release date. they are saying " select theaters" so that means no where around you. They are also claiming VOD but dont say which VOD it will be released to. My guess, the day they go to put it on, thats when Disney will strike. Right now the only place it has been shown is Sundance and a few other minor film festivals. Well see if it ever hits the light of day.
I think this might put a damper on people being allowed to videotape their vacation at Disney. Disney won't want to take any chances of people trying to make another secret movie about them.
this guy is on to something!!! we really shouldn't have to worry about things like this, like if i take a picture there and put it on tumblr, i might get sued. this guy is exposing this.
wow. aside the small little misunderstanding in the top comments (*coughcough*)...i think you guys are really entairtaining :P u just got urself a subscriber.
When my family went to epicott Disney world Florida my mother who has a muscular illness called PPMS (primary progressive muscular sclerosis) was riding a moped around because she couldnt walk. When we went to the other places in disney the workers could care less, but when we went to epicott they wouldnt let her in and forced her to go into a wheel chair and humiliate her because they were afraid the moped would "scare" the younger kids. Why would there be any kids young enough to be at disney
Wait if Elliot worked as the goofy mascot at Disney world that means as a kid I might've hugged him on vacation without evening knowing that I would watch him every day on the internet. Mind blown.
I think it was partially for the publicity and partially because it's just a cool challenge to shoot a movie in a place that wouldn't let them do what they wanted. It's what I'd expect of an indie movie.
I've been a fan of Phil for such a long time. I'm so astounded that he has grown his channel into such a fun and large network. Him and many TH-camrs inspired me to start my own channel. Hopefully in the spirit of fan week you guys can upvote this comment so a lot of sourcefed fans can check me out.
I'll have to admit. The Disney experience is a well polished one. I took the family there a couple of years ago. Stayed at the resort also. Completely trouble free from the moment I got out of the airport until I went back to the airport for the return home. I have to say that I've not been more relaxed on any other vacation. The only down side: it's HELLA EXPENSIVE! But once you look past the money, it's very relaxing and fun. But only the strongest of wallets need apply.
Elliot as a fellow Floridian and just getting out of magic kingdom today , maybe your so brainwashed as an employee but not every cast member is happy and helpful as in the past, there are some but most seems like corporate. I
i was hoping the movie was going to be about how bad the disney world experience has gotten. just 2 years ago when i went there, yes everything was clean but everything else he said at 3:37 couldnt be further from what i experienced, every direction i looked most of the people were just hot and unhappy. the lines even for crappy rides were hours long, everything was 3x more expensive, and the employes just looked over worked
They allow people to film rides and things on smartphones. I think it's only copyrighted material (like the "Small World" song) that they can sue you for.
Hard to comment about the movie without seeing it. Honestly, I would live to see it. Sure, the idea seems odd, but until one has viewed it, one can not really comment as to the scope of vision contained within. There have been plenty of movies that I totally disagree with early reviews on.
I remember my first day working for the Mouse I met Bob Iger. Disney isn't going to put up with any of this. If any of their characters are seen in his movie I bet you he will be slapped with a huge copyright lawsuit. Disney will find employee's captured in the film and pressure them to file lawsuits as well. He will be wrapped up in court that the movie will never make it to pirate bay. You really don't want to fuck with Disney when it regards their public image.
To answer your question. Neither, haven't seen the movie (really really want to), but i think his anger or displeasure with the disney corporation is a side note in this case. I think he's simply a man that was not going to let anything get in the way of the movie he wanted to make. respect sir!
I agree, if this film was more about how Disneyland has strayed solo far from Walt Disney's dream then I might be interested. Instead I'm more interested to see Blackfish.
Interesting project, the criticism of corporate creativity through surrealist, disturbing film making is a very personal protest. Personally, I would not take that route myself, but I have no issue with someone using it.
I love Disney and always have. They may be evil as a corporation (but I don't really think that they are even on the same level of bad as some corporations) but whether it be Disney world or Disney movies they still create some beautiful things. I remember two of my favorite movies as a child were the Disney channel movies Tiger Cruise and Color of Friendship movies that took tough issues and taught a lesson but I have completely ignored your question so I would say that it is a publicity stunt.
I agree with Elliott, I went to Disneyworld once and it ruined me for every theme park since then. I can't help but compare them to Disneyworld. Being old enough to appreciate how much work it takes to put on that level of production every day still blows my mind. The water smelled like turds though so yeah.
Using Disney as the setting for a dark movie seems to have gone beyond the 'trouble in paradise' motif for which the director was aiming. I had a similar moment of let down when I was led to believe Batman died in the nuclear explosion in The Dark Night Rises. How dare they end a hero in times like these?!?! But i believe its how we discover new genre definitions....by obtuse trial and error.

I can't believe I've been watching SourceFed for a year now! Great job guys! Looking forward to another news filled year with you all.

Can't really answer the question until I've seen the movie. Love how you guys do shout-outs now.

I'm married dude. Here, have an ewok hug! -Steve
Elliott!! You were a fellow cast member! I love who you were friends with :D
Desperately wanted to go to Disney as a child, but we could never afford it. Took my kids, ages 13 - 5, for spring break last year and they did not want to leave. I agree. Disney makes the experience of being at the park "magical". I absolutely love the atmosphere and the people who work there. They are genuinely nice.
It's opening later this month at the Downtown Independent Theater in Los Angeles.
I really wish I could make it onto an episode
Hey Steve I couldn't hear over your coughing but did you say Pirate Bay.......haha
I actually work at Disney World :) tomorrowland speedway and space mountain. Love my job and all the friends I've gained because of it. Thanks Elliot for pointing out how hard we try to keep everyone happy. Also can you do the perfect cast? Heard goofy people can..
hi! -STEVE
I love this channel it my only news source because they know how to keep it entertaining unlike all of the other news channels with people reading the news with one monotone voice thanks sourcefed!
I was subscribed to Sourcefed about 4 months ago i just started watching again and i am glad i have
But I'm getting healthy and I'll live longer. Cool?
That last shot of animatronic Steve was the last thing I needed to see now that the special cookie is kicking in. Scarier than Westworld.

Those robots over at disney do a very good Steve impression.
Shooting film "commando" inside Disney is an amazing accomplishment.
1:35 and they have links in the description about it under "Our Sources".
i love sourcefed thanks for my my life a little better each day
Steve, I model my beard after you. Your beard is my hero.
All the love to SourceFed, Phil has done something great! - @MistrMoustache (My twitter)

Not sure what to think about this one. How do you this without rights there? However, I may buy the DVD when it comes because I love horror films (:
I don't see why they even prevent the use of cameras in there to begin with...
Strange, I don't remember friendly cast member last time i went to Disney World.
Hahaha. Elliott I saw your vlog about disneyland. I laughed so much :)
I have a good question for you guys. What were you guys doing before you started doing sourcefed?
That moment when the ad is for Disneyworld...
Benjamin Franklin: Time Traveler is the most epic thing ever
I would have preferred if it were a documentary that would have made more sense to sneak in unnoticed and get real footage of what goes on in the parks
Happy Anniversary!
I've taken countless videos at both Universal and Disney. It's not that hard to film something from under the radar because the pa

pirate bay is dead, its all about kick ass torrents now
Elliot... we probably "didn't" take a photo together. LOL
I too am disapointed that Disney is such a large corperation but I still love every visit and treasure the time I spend there
I think this might put a damper on people being allowed to videotape their vacation at Disney. Disney won't want to take any chances of people trying to make another secret movie about them.
I am so stoked to see this film.
this guy is on to something!!! we really shouldn't have to worry about things like this, like if i take a picture there and put it on tumblr, i might get sued. this guy is exposing this.
I really believed that Steve was animatronic at the end... he had cold, dead eyes.
wow. aside the small little misunderstanding in the top comments (*coughcough*)...i think you guys are really entairtaining :P u just got urself a subscriber.

I went behind the scenes at Disneyland's Toontown...it crushed my dreams.
Wait if Elliot worked as the goofy mascot at Disney world that means as a kid I might've hugged him on vacation without evening knowing that I would watch him every day on the internet. Mind blown.
Do we have to buy something in order to get some love? I'm poor but still love SourceFed dearly!
thank you steve for not yelling in this show :)
I went to Disney world and there were some not so happy cast members. Cinderella was very grumpy. Ariel was amazingly nice though
Elliot. Have you heard of the youtuber "swoozie" I'd love to get your reaction to a few of his Disney World related videos.
I think it was partially for the publicity and partially because it's just a cool challenge to shoot a movie in a place that wouldn't let them do what they wanted. It's what I'd expect of an indie movie.
I'll have to see the movie, but sounds like this man put an intense amount of effort into making his great work of art. ARTISTE.
The concept of the movie is nuts but definitely gutsy, it's going to my "must see" list
Eliot,,, u r totally a cast member!!! I work at MK !!! Im very surprise this all went under the radar... Cudos to them..

I like your positive response to that bad person's comment. Love you and you are perfect!
FYI: That movie isn't yet on Pirate Bay... Just checked...
They allow people to film rides and things on smartphones. I think it's only copyrighted material (like the "Small World" song) that they can sue you for.
the sundance film festival is awesome. You get to see so many different types of movies from every type of genres
try the off season next trip. no lines, cool weather, and happy people!
Hard to comment about the movie without seeing it.
Honestly, I would live to see it. Sure, the idea seems odd, but until one has viewed it, one can not really comment as to the scope of vision contained within.

I've been suscribed since Phil made this Channel! :D
that honestly takes the cake for the BEST thing i've heard of anyone doing with their inheritance...
I want to see one of the hidden cameras be hidden in the head of one of the characters costumes.

Filming this without Disney knowing would be the ONLY way this was gonna be made.
I agree with Elliott, I went to Disneyworld once and it ruined me for every theme park since then. I can't help but compare them to Disneyworld. you have just helped me find him, Thank You!
Elliot: "blah blah blah - connotes that he is Goofy - "
I. DIED.
