My mom makes a killer pullissery but my mom cannot make it any more as she is in palliative stages. Great to see this here. Reminds me of my mom. Well done on the prononciation.
So thankful that a food content creator is including dishes from across the country, because there is so much diversity we are yet to explore and bring to the attention of netizens. Happy to see my state represented through its cuisine :)
i m from north india na wanna try it@@SulochanaChandran-c5r does it tastes good as we north indians are not generally into sweetness in daal nd we love it spicy only
'Nattu' manga means nothing else but 'country mango'. Yes it is small in size but has got a strong and unique sweet acidic flavour and the best pulisserys are always made of these.😅😅 Kerala is known as land of spices but surprisingly we use very less spices in authentic Kerala cuisine 😅 Onion and garlic were late entrants to Kerala kitchens so we have many no onion no garlic dishes too.
Wow! I'm so glad you shared this one chef! As a Malayalee, we are so happy that these treasured recipes are being shared with our non Malayalee friends. There are many such no onion - no garlic recipes. I also hope you share the raw mango curry simmered in coconut milk. It's not only no onion- no garlic, it's vegan too!
Thank you Sanjyot for uploading this recipe. It is usually a must for Vishu which is the Malayalee new year which was on 14 th April. We had it for our Vishu Sadhya ( feast ). You have shown how to make it authentically. Love the way you try and include all the regional specialties. Kudos to you and your wonderful YFL team 🌺
What a timing. Seriously!! 😀I was just thinking what to cook for tomorrows lunch. I don’t make same roti sabzi dal chawal everyday. Have alphansos, mutta rice, dahi everything at home. My tomorrow’s lunch is sorted. 😀😀
This is not just made in Kerala, This is a Famous Mangalorean Dish as well. There is a pineapple version of this recipe as well. Both served during pujas festivals or weddings.. absolutely irresistible and delicious ❤😋😋
It's nice to see you mix the mango curry and rice with hand. That's how I've learned to relish Indian food, especially rice. Will definitely try this dish this mango season. Thank you
@@YourFoodLab Thank you for your sweet reply. I wonder if it's you who is replying to this comment or somebody from your team. If it's you, I want you to know that I really like you, not just as a chef par excellence but also as a nice, wholesome person. Wish I could meet you someday. Lots of love, regards n hugs ❤️
It’s really delicious..if nattu mango is not available, then we can remove available mango’s peel and squeeze out pulp with hands and put back seeds in it , then it tastes better ..Also traditionally made in clay pots, because the consistency get adjusted once it’s cooled down and usually served after 2-3 hours after it’s made, which helps in sharing flavours between mangoes and gravy..🥰😋
Hi Chef Sanjyot Keer, Thank you for taking great efforts to present dishes from the regional cuisines of INDIA by which we, followers and fans of the YFL Platform on the TH-cam Channel, can learn such splendid dishes. With the current season of mangoes in INDIA, this is a wonderful main course dish. Well, yesterday I cooked this mango-based curry for dinner for the first time; my wife and I enjoyed our dinner together which comprised of this mango-based curry with brown/red rice just as you demonstrated in the YFL video. Kudos to you as well as to the YFL Team, and thank you so very much!, God bless you!
U have followed the right recipe exact as I make coz I m a Malayalee. One correction tht u can add 1 green chillies while grinding coconut. Else all gud
I'm from kerala but I'm not a fan of this dish. But my daughter is. 😅 So I make it when mangoes are in season. Its good to see that you've retained the authenticity of the dish. Good job on the pronunciation too. Wonderful!!
Hi... Awesome yummy and tempting Kerala recipe... This reminds me of my mother.... She would always make this yummy delicious recipe... God bless... Since Vishu is just over I'm having Kerala mango and will be making this special pullishery❤
My Mother makes the pulissery by adding shallots in it while making yhe coconut paste. I'm a Malayali and this recipe is one of the common recipes in kerala besides Kerala-style Sambar. ❤
Perfect recipe Chef! Your pronunciations are really appreciated. This is favourite curry in my family. I avoid hing in seasoning. Also we can add ash gourd and South Indian Kakdi to enhance the flavour. Fried South Indian apalam or papdam goes very well when eaten with rice.
My family waits every year for mango season to make mambazha pullissery.. Soul Food!! Yummyliciously healthy!! I have already made it four times this month 😂
My granny used to make this mango curry, she always used red chilies and never used curd, though this recipe looks yummy, will surely try the same (without curd 🙂)
I tried this today. Taste was "great" with mild sweet badami mango and very less sour curd. I dint add jaggery. You had mentioned "naattu mango". It means desi mango from our garden.. Not any branded variety. It is good with any kind of rice
Thanks for this authentic recipe,it is not just healthy but so simple and you have manifested it perfectly ❤, kudos to you and team YFL we love you, keep it going, I follow all your recipes and trust me I am appreciated by all. I love your style of cooking and it truly inspires me to keep cooking

That's an incredible mambazha pulishery. Well your pronunciation is pretty good, considering the fact that the 'zha' sound is unique to Malayalam, and many do find it difficult to pronounce. With due respect to your culinary skills, pls do try this tip next time you make mambazha pulishery. After preparing the dish and tadka is done, heat half a tsp of ghee, add a pinch of roasted and ground methi powder. And add it to the pulissery. The hing can be avoided or kept to a minimal..
