Alumni Talk - Sreerag Ravindra, 2013 Passout from Econstruct

Sreerag is a Alumini of Econstruct when the office was newly started and we had office in BDA Complex, HSR Layout. We did not have any Master Study program but we used to conduct technical workshops on weekends.
Sreerag was among our first few students for the ETABS and SAFE Workshop.
He continued working with us after the workshop and gained experience.He was paid some stipend also over the period of time.
He got opportunity to work in Calicut for few months and then tried for a Job in Gulf.
He got Job in Gulf after 4 to 6 months of struggle. He was settled in a Job in ABU DABI for 6 years and then came back to India for following his dream of starting his business.
He is a independent Structural Consultant now in Kerala.
I hope this talk will be Inspirational for all the MASTER STUDY TRAINEES.

SUMMARY OF THE TALK -
1). You need to keep patience to get the right Job Opportunity.
2). Constant efforts and Strategic Planning are a must for achieving success in the Job Market.
3). Keep Your basics right. Know AutoCAD also at the expert level. Don't Ignore the basics.
4). Employer will continue your employment with them only when he is benefiting from your skills and Knowledge hence keep your skills up to date. Employer or client may give many corrections in the work or you may have to work within the deadline. Take this aspect of the work positively.
5). You have to depend on yourself for learning after joining any company. Seniors may not teach you everything in a spoon-feeding way in the workplace. So, have enough maturity to understand and GROW UP. Self-learning can be a blessing !!!!
6). There may be struggles in the starting days of the career ( Like sharing the space with many people or having a fixed timetable etc) but it feels worth it at last. This only makes you stronger.
7). Take the Risk. (Ab nahi toh kab ?????)
8). Don't Indulge in Office Gossip at any cost. It will only harm you in some or another way.
9). Starting a Business requires Passion and Patience.
10). Family and friends Influence the decision of starting a business especially when you are entering from Job Market to Business Market.
11). Please Note: Starting a Business means coming out of your comfort zone and exploring your passion ( no matter what ). This also requires tremendous Patience.
12). International Jobs help us in exploring other cultures and give us networking opportunities with people from around the world. This can be a very exciting experience and of course a learning experience too. This aspect expands our Vision. Try to explore this in your bachelor Life.
