I bought this and just finished installing it on my brand new chrome Monza 26" and I absolutely love it.. They can hear me coming and they get out the way.. It's better than having a bell bro. I just start to back pedal and presto clear path.
So I have a GT pro series 29 and I want to upgrade to a better free wheel but I don’t know exactly which one I need for my bike bike shop said GT made specific specs so they didn’t know which one would work so I need some help
How many teeth does your back freewheel have now? Is it stock? Usually freewheels are pretty interchangeable, you just need to know what size you are looking for. Do you have flip flop hubs with threads on both sides?
Looking at the GT website, it says you have a 16t freewheel now with a KMC Z410 chain. If that's the case, you can get a different 16t freewheel from Origin8 or RideOutSupply if you want a louder freewheel and it should be able to be swapped with no problem. You might want to just be sure the freewheel you get is for 1/8 chains since that's the chain you already have.

@@cruisinginthe808 I tried buying from Rideout supplier, but they refused to sell me a free wheel because they’ve had issues in the past with GT
