I too thought that the fear of whether I'm going to hell or not makes a person come to jesus but coming to jesus to get saved from hell is selfish. You have to love god from the very beginning, many don't, including me, so the gospel doesn't apply to us. Besides, earning salvation is a race, you have to prove god everyday you're worthy to be saved, you do that by obedience of the law and then trusting in jesus.
@@KevinKurzsartdisplay For the sake of the readers. Salvation in Christ alone is only by faith in His finished work on the cross. Works does not save anyone. For a believer in Jesus, works or good deeds is the evidence that the person has the Holy Spirit.
@, it’s easy to fall into the lie of once you trust in jesus, he will change you into a true christian but the truth teaches that you have to maintain and prove that it’s right to give you a chance, you have to fully commit to god even if it goes against your will, you have to strive, you have to work it out with fear and trembling to earn eternal life
Bible explain the Bible ... Proverbs 8:13 The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate. So no need to try find anything else.
